Lots of crappy misinformation. It IS really common. Most dont know if you give oral, (you are going through shedding period), you can give it to your partner. Cold sores are HSV1(oral).

It’s all the things mentioned as well as the tests are inconclusive because it won’t differentiate between HSV1 and HSV2. So yeah it’s basically pointless to test for it.
