Dear Black women. Stop the wig, weave, extension braids. Women of color has the highest cases of alopecia. Although it CAN come from heredity...no one can tell me that is why so many black women have alopecia. Alopecia also comes from too much tension on your hair follicles. You are beautiful already and don't need the chemicals and fake hair to change what GOD already perfected. Same with false lashes. It thins out your ntural lashes leaving you to feel you "need" them because you now destroyedyour own by wearing falsies. Take care of your scalp and hair and stop making the Asians who don't even respect you at all literally rich. Your natural beauty is a blessing and it seems every other race know it is except y'all. STOP!! Also the braiding hair that is so popular has been linked to cancers in black women. You're literally paying money to harm yourself from the inside out. Makes NO sense. This comment is not about the uploader. Yes she did a nice job doing what she set out to do...but it's the bigger picture. I even hear young black girls ask for some other race of women's hair for their birthday or Christmas 😠 it's stupid and painful.
Alopecia has many different forms and effects all races, some triggered by hormones after birth others purely our immune system attacking the hair follicle.
I never dyed my natural hair wore extensions or wigs but lost all of my hair in middle school. A lot of my followers are the same lost there hair as kids with no fault of there own so making women feel like they are the cause of hair loss is false and disrespectful. Whether you choose to wear extensions or not has nothing to do with disliking who we are it’s merely an accessory.
I hear you but respectfully I agree with the Vanali..Not all hair issues are the result of wearing wigs weaves and braids..Every woman has a story and a reason for their hair loss..Mine was stress immune system issues from my thyroid and anxiety from childhood trauma which causes me to pull my hair and it just never grew back the same...We ALL go through something and WE all still need the same understanding compassion and empathy...Some people wear wigs because they like different looks but some wear them because people are just mean disconnected and insensitive and they don't want to be ridiculed made fun of or criticized for the way they look...

Why you were offended and felt the need to respond like this is so sad. The person made a public comment and I replied to it because its wrong to think it only affect black women. Thank you for telling me to stay in my own lane on a public post. People stupidity is unbelievable.
Again people can wear whatever they want just like clothes. Leave people alone
