The square one looks almost like 50's art deco designs. The shaped one reminds me of fruity pebbles cereal. ( that may be because I'm hungry) I like both of them very much. You are so talented.

I have a set of 4 of the arabesque coasters that need to have the cavities filled with glitter, and I’ve been putting it off because I know I’m too slow to get it all done in one go with resin. Your method will make it much easier and less stressful for me. I love the way both of your coasters turned out!❤

This is Stunninngg NAdia! Those multicolored chunks are just gorgeous and I've never tried Varnish for a fill in! 🤯🤯🤯I've always only automatically used resin, mannnn this is an eye opener! 🤩I call these molds "flip-n-fill" due to their depth being layered molds, the pockets will tend to have a few matte spots due to the nature of their making. So i aimed at making them deep enough to fill in contrast colors. Jesmonite and Aqua cast will give super smooth results as they don't pick up on the matte spots like resin does.
How beautiful Nadia, yes sometimes even when I use a crackle, air escapes and I have to do a second coat too. The little colored glass pieces are so cute. I think the sparkle diamonds would also look cute.
I've been using your varnish trick since I found you on CZcams and it's a game changer!!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I also didn't realize that UV RESIN and 1:1 didn't like each other. I'm now trying to think if I made anything with both! Guess I'll find out when it falls apart!🙃🙃
Stunning, especially the Arabesque! I have a question. Do you think an acrylic medium made to prolong the work time of acrylic paints would work the same added to the Dura Gloss Varnish?
In theory, I think medium could work if you're using it as a clear paint to secure pieces...but I believe the varnish is more durable as it's meant to be a sealant. I would give it a small test... so you can see how clear it dries and how it reacts when topcoated with resin... resin can cause unexpected outcomes sometimes.

I am also from Canada and have just been charged $50 of import fees and was wondering if you also have to pay for the customs when you order your counter culture resin?
Hi Stephanie! On no! Our duties and taxes are ridiculously high! Because I'm an ambassador/affliate, CCDIY sends me resin in some way that I don't get charged... not exactly sure what magic they are using lol. BUT - I believe they have a distributor in BC ... so the shipping and duties should be less, if you like the resin and decide to buy again.. The website is emandkatco.com/

I love the molds. Your technique is wonderful. I like the mold’s finished both ways but prefer the ones with out the top coat & more 3D.

Not necessarily since varnish is meant to be a finishing medium... but I usually do topcoat my pieces in resin for that glass finish
