Momotaro began to be interested in Kintaro and was actively trying to touch it.
And Genki looks a little worried about it.
I haven't seen gorillas spending time in the room for over a year.
That's why I'm curious about the relationship between Momotaro and Kintaro in the current room.
⚠️ Due to the spread of COVID-19, Kyoto City Zoo will be closed from April 25th to May 31st.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

小さいものは皆が可愛がる。人間が忘れそうになる生けるものの真実が伝わりますね。
毎回見せていただいていますが、本当に心がほんわか暖かくなります。ゴリラってこんなに子どもを慈しむものなんだと思います。父親ゴリラのシャイさに亡くなった父を思い出します。ありがとうございました
Genki is the Queen when it comes to her offspring. She will protect them at all cost... even if it means being on the losing end of Momotaro's aggression. Momotaro is only aggressive when it comes to food or protecting his troop. This beautiful primate family is a treasure. Watching them from before and during the pandemic has been a blessing and helped during a difficult period.

The funny part was when momotaro tried to touch kintaro but when genki turn to look at kintaro , momotaro pretended to pick a straw . It was amazing that he has a deep respect for genki . Genki is the queen .

Genki is so cute ...the boys wanted to play with Kintaro so badly but she was so scared he would get hurt. She has gradually become more tolerant. I almost forgot how fierce she was. They are so human like

He is so careful and respectful of her. It seems very important to him that he doesn’t upset them by being too pushy. When you look at his face you can see how intelligent he is.
I just love how Genki is so attentive of Kintaro. I watch other gorilla videos and the mothers just let their kids alone, I mean they are not as attentive as her. Look at when Kintaro fell out of the back of Gentaro, she immediately checks on him

He loves his wife a lot, The way he looks at her is so soulful especially when he was getting to know and able to touch Kintaro the infant, he was so enamoured by her forgiving him such a beautiful special son-
I feel sorry for the 1st born son, because now he is NOT the centre of attention any more,
Kintaro absorbs all of his mothers time, attention, affection and care ! because he is the infant who require around the clock care and supervision for his own safety,
I love how Mama gorilla give Momo leverage within her space , I've been observing her extend her boundaries and her limitations , she now give BIG Daddy MORE time with their infant son, who is now a little bundle of energy, joy, mischief, love, and provocation, , do you think that infant Kintaro could just go up any other big gorilla in the wild and tease him or tru to take momma gorillas food, HAAAAA?
but he does so with HIS BIG DADDY bcos his father loves him and dotes upon him
Becoming a Father 2nd time IS genuinely been maturing Momotaro
suddenly he is the BIG BOY of Campus - Momotaro ~ I love the entire family
dynamics will keep changing, developing , growing, as each individual gorilla continues to grow and develop into its own persona... in his own time and pace, whilst sharing their entire space, I personally feel and recommend they - E N L A R G E - the entire enclosures.
these gorillas are built and designed-

They need a such larger enclosure with far more privacy, just give the 2 to 3 hrs mas of exhibit time, for the public,
place sign to NOT torment the Gorillas
or tease or LAUGH at them -
when the infant falls backward on his head its NOT funny .

Ive never seen such close up filming. They look so soft. Their hair is beautifully shaded and accentuates the silverbacks muscles. Momotaro and Genki are such beautiful animals I pray their kinda will be on this planet for centuries to come!! Gentaro is a good big brother just trying to find his place in the new pecking order.
Me gusta mucho mirar los vídeos de la familia Momotaro. Son increíbles. Genki siempre tan atenta en el cuidado del bebé!!! Ellos son muy tiernos con el bebé. Me llama la atención que mamá y papá están siempre tan atentos en sus hijos. Gentaro es muy divertido. Y le gusta mucho jugar con su hermano bebé. A veces parece que pelea a su mamá o a Kintaro, pero creo que es que tiene ganas de jugar. Papá Momotaro es hermoso!!!!

I love this little family they are just so special & I notice mom is always taken her baby but when dad wants to be round baby she knows he's cthe boss lol but it's all love 💝 🐵... @Wings of a Dove Yeah SHE is the boss as long as Momotaro wants her to be. It's fun/funny to pretend like Genki is the "queen" or whatever but we've all seen what happens when Momo gets angry.

I feel so sorry for these gorillas. It looks like they are living in a metal cage. I hope at some point during the day they get to go outside.

Omg I just love Momotaro! When he's laying down on his stomach like in his thinking position it is so cute to watch. I don't think he would ever hurt Kintaro intensionally. He's huge.
