Eminem always had deep meanings in his lyrics (atleast for his serious songs). But this one takes the cake. The rap tells a terrible story of being a man having an affair with a girl in a relationship. It tells how the man felt guilty and how he knows what he was doing was wrong. Now he wants to end it and "clean his sins" as in theme to the song. Yet he was too late as he finds out the girl had got pregnant with his child. Scared and not wanting the child, he forces her too abort, yet later regrets that decision. The lyrics tell a strong sad story and Ed's chorus sets the tone perfectly. This song is one of his best and I'm excited to hear what the rest of his album has to offer. I'm sorry for explaining but I know some people listen to this without knowing the deep meaning behind it. Any true Eminem fan knows this is more than a song. THANKS FOR READING!!

Depends on how you hear the song but it sounds like he feels guilty because he didn’t want the child. Not that he had the woman have an abortion. When he says “What can I say now?” He says in a question “it was fun for awhile?”, ,”bet I would have really loved your smile?”, “I didn’t really wanna abort?”. Those are questions and hence “fuck it, what’s one more lie” so he is saying those are lies. But again. It’s all up to interpretation. Just how I heard the song. Love Em and Ed. This collaboration sounds amazing.

When my mom got pregnant with me she originally wanted to have an abortion because she was scared...my dad tried to push her past those fears because not only was he scared but once he found out he was going to have another(I now have 3 siblings from different people my dad has been with)child, he felt it was too much so he didn't want me. So my mom left my dad because she knew no matter the challenges she was going to face when she had me..she still wanted me! So I was born January 11th, 2005;And my dad was there to see it...turns out he wanted me after all🖤

I have a friend who introduced me to this particular song. He listened to if a lot and I caught him with tears in his eyes a couple of times. I know he used to run around on his gal. I think this song may have "hit different" for him if you know what I mean. You never know what someone else is going through. Just some quick background on this song: Ed got an email from Paul(Em's producer) saying Em was going to make a new album and they wanted him to submit a song. He came up with the Chorus and put a demo together. He sent it to them in March 2016. He hears nothing..... life continues.....Then out of no where, in May 2017 Ed gets a phone call that Em has already done his verses and is ready to record. Em flys to Mexico and they make this magic!!!!!!
