I think it's time I shed a little light on this channel since I've just hit 1,000 subscribers. I created this channels' first video; "Little Dark Age - British Transport" during an extremely dark period of my life- it was my intention to have one last kick at the hornets' nest publicly before I shuffled from this mortal coil. With help from the positive reaction this community has had to my creations, i went on to create my next video; "pov: you work for RAILTRACK". Since then, though I've not been able to completely shed myself of the various things getting me down, I've managed to hang on in- and as such you've seen multiple creations since then. The era of my finding HD sources for the inclusion in my various clips here has ended, but the era of British Rail shall never end- and hopefully my uploads will follow in that same ilk. Thank you all for joining me on this journey, and as TFL currently says; "Every Journey Matters".
I'll be honest, as a non-UK resident, I'm extremely sad that I might never see these beauties in service ever in my life. They are what made me fall in love with British trains and electric trains in general.
Its given me a sense of nostalgia and hope As an American that We can get our shit together and fix our damn rail network and electrify it and improve upon the services we have with Amtrak and Nationalize the four freight rail companies holding this American dream hostage, which we used to have as a reality before WWII. Which was taken away from us..

I love that you've gotten around to the 225, ever since LNER repainted them I've been chasing them down trying to (badly) photograph them all, and have by now done the entire KGX → Leeds route, albeit not in a single run (yet?)
My RAILTRACK video is still one of my favourites! However, that meme-y format is one that I and this channel have long moved on from- I just didn't find it a gratifying format to edit in. Just a week ago I had the privilege of riding on a 225 for the very first time, and a week before that had the privilege of having my breath taken away from me by one speeding past at just over 100mph. The Class 313s might still have my heart since they're the BR-era stock I grew up around, but the 225s certainly stand as the most awe inspiring bit of rolling stock I've ever, ever seen.@@ohpurpled

Not even joking, saw this when I woke up at half six ish this morning. Immediately felt a rush of adrenaline upon seeing those beautiful 225 sets I rushed to London and im writing this on my way back from York in one of LNER’s last remaining sets. As rail staff, I often find myself going on trips out less and less so thank you for inspiring me to take a trip on a train I may not be able to travel on soon 🙂 much love

I needed to know why they couldn’t dig a tunnel and do an extension for most of the mainline Trains so that they could extend the unused abandoned underground train stations. Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock which will include the class 507, class 508, class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign all of them into an overhead wire line trains and also make most of them into Five carriages per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those Five cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Gardner 6LXC, Cummins M11, Volvo B10M, Scania N112, Gardner LG1200 and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 8-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 10-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 507, class 508, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into 11 carriages per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers? A Stock Train and 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it even much more Larger and extend it to the bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Railway tunnel into a High-Speed Railway lines? The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Railway line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. Then put the modernised 11 carriages per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised Waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. What’s more depressing is that the class 91 was designed for both passenger and freight use and BR were expecting to produce more I believe they even had a tilting variant for the west coast mainline as well on the cards
An idea, since the 455s will be going soon, perhaps a video on them? They've served since BR days, and are finally coming to end soon, need to go on the BR blue one if it enters service.
I would LOVE to do a video on the various DMUs and EMUs that were based on the Mk.3 coach platform- unfortunately the video sources for these are *extremely* scant. As we speak I'm in the process of downloading source material for a video like this, but like I said, they're so scant that I simply can't grab sources that enable me to go and focus on a class as specific and "niche" as this.
You'll enjoy it! The age and lack of maintenance on them means they're certainly more squeaky than current stock, but they're infinitely more comfortable, and when they pass you on a platform going full chat.. there's simply nothing that compares.

It's jaw dropping just how superior they are to ride compared to Azumas. Every time I see one coming in the distance I make sure to get close to the edge of the platform. Nothing moves through the air and takes your breath away like a 225 does.@@hotelmario510
Sadly it'll never get that far- it's been quite miraculous watching 225 go from a rather unloved bit of kit to now heading up the BR throwbacks on the rails.
It's too late. UK PLC sold out years ago. There's nothing to be proud of in this country anymore. Industry, everything, sold by corrupt self-serving politicians for a quick buck. The current Tories are just finishing off the job for good.

I use Davinci Studio! It's by far the most powerful free editor there is out there. It's not hugely user friendly, but in terms of desktop apps I think it's the best.
