Caeleb Dressel took 18 strokes and Ian Finnerty took 26 strokes
He’s extremely fast but his turns are much slower than dressel
Tanker Speck yes caeleb had that time bsecause of his pullouts.totally agreed
MrVpassenheim peaty has created a unique sprint focused breast stroke. Finnerty seems to be the first one to successfully emulate it. And much like Peaty, when he swam the 200, he died terribly at the end (although he still won). Will be interesting to see how he does this summer. He has the best breaststroke training partners one could ask for at Indiana.
@Jay Patel
Yes, I too am interested in seeing how his 49.69 truly converts to long course. I'm guessing 58 high.
He just took off on that second 50! I have probs watched this 10 times.
Amazing videos and tops. The best swim channel.
caeleb dressel’s best isn’t even breaststroke so good for him he even broke caeleb’s record
i also feel like if dressel tapered and focused on the 100 breast at NCAAs he could def have beaten finnerty's 49.69 back then. He just sawm the 100 breast for fun at SECs that year it seems. But obviously he focuses on the 50/100 free and 100 fly at NCAAs
I wonder what he will do at Olympic Trials that will be a fun race to watch for sure!
Set's record that still stands, and does it CIRCLE SWIMMING!
Can you please apload the video of top 3 50 fly races
That dude in the audience really said "go to work" :skull:
Who’s here after Liam Bells 49.53 👇
There must be good swimmers when someone I have never heard of breaks the american record... haha
This video is cool
is it sad that my time is 20 seconds slower and my 100 free is 8 seconds slower lol
A 1;09 for a 100 breaststroke isn’t bad. A 57, well that depends on your age
"faster than dressel" yeah, he isn't a breaststroker 😂😂
thats insane. he just got moving
Nobody swims that fast in real life
@@redberriescereal8465 it’s an expression , like he’s a superhero or something.
He could’ve broken 49 or gone 49 low if he hadn’t taken that extra stroke at the end
No he probably wouldn't have broken 50 if he didn't. He would have had to glide which would have cost him the barrier
like if you agree that NCAA's are sometimes more exciting than world championships.
@MotivationalBeast it doesnt matter who cares about the ncaa it matters which one is more exciting and many americans do find it more entertaining
he didnt say that people cared more, its that theyre more exciting
