    The last one was an idea for a perpetual motion machine but it was proven to not be perpetual given that eventually it will lose all momentum.

      What if you simply added mass to the end of each of the swing arms since that would always extend out for greater angular force?

    • @freddyfred9945
      @freddyfred9945 Před 7 lety +1

      Never mind. There are actually quite a few videos of others running with a similar idea and they do maintain their angular momentum for quite some time. Suspend the axle with magnets and you basically have a kinetic battery.

    1:59 is not a useless machine because it's not a "machine" at all. It's a play off of "perpetual motion" (which doesn't exist). Eventually, friction will stop that wheel, regardless of it's usefulness.

      Obviously it can 'exist' you see it on the clip.

    • @happyjohn354
      @happyjohn354 Před 7 lety

      not really you guys perpetual motion machines would need no touching parts and a vacuum to operate and its not creating energy from nothing its transforming potential energy to kinetic energy

    • @JohnLee-ue6gy
      @JohnLee-ue6gy Před 7 lety +2

      You're missing the implicit significance of 'machine.' Something can be perpetually in motion. The universe is filled with heavenly bodies doing just that. But you can construct a machine that assures said motion.
