Storing ones' treasures in this way, is not only pretty,...but it also keeps your items from getting tangles, lost, dusty, etc....and keeps things organized and at hand, in case you are using them...

Ooh I really enjoyed this segment! I could watch you do this all day! I am not crafty or organized. However, I will buy a bag of old ribbon at a yard sale and rewind it on to olds spools and cards to organize it exactly for the purpose of enjoyment, just as you said. 😍
Loved this. I can't believe I never thought to wrap smaller ribbons on spools! Boy, I feel dumb! LOL!!!😅 Now I wish I'd picked up mass of wine corks at that yard sale that I passed on. Corks of ribbon scraps in a clear pretty jar would be cool too. The contrast of the texture of the cork/ and texture of ribbons. Wow! FYI-- dental floss works great for stringing buttons. I have made earrings of buttons, so easy. ( not with floss) Keep lace/letters in low humidity, so ink won't transfer to lace. Maybe acid free tissue paper in between will help. If it's valuable lace, I'd treat this way. Thanks for sharing, I like to see others collections.💝
Beautiful - I love wrapping my antique lace on card. I have some lace collars that I found in January that I still need to frame, as well as some special doilies with words or pictures crocheted into the design. I do need to find some more decorative jars or jewelry boxes to display my special buttons and buckles. I have some in cut glass sugar bowls but most are in old canning and coffee jars.
I loved seeing your fantastic ideas! Thanks so much for sharing. And I agree, a much more attractive way to display vintage items. I have, and love, vintage beads, silk threads, spools (all vintage sewing items actually), so your video really struck me.

I’ve only dried them once. I just tied them together with twine and hung them upside down. That was it. It was later in the summer, not early.
Is there any way to clean dirty thread?
I don’t think so.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 I found that taking a bunch of thread off the spools did the trick!
Good idea. Remove the first stained layer.
