Guuurl!! You need to get on Ravelry asap to keep track of your projects, yarn stash, hook size, yarn amount used, where/when you bought the yarn (and for how much), eyes used, etc. I looked but didn't find your patterns on there. I'm digital all the way, and love keeping track of my projects that way ^_^

Haha yes, I honestly love Etsy!! They take a lot of fees, but its worth all the benefits in my opinion!!
I also used CZcams to start crocheting but my mom helped me out a little bit but it was mainly CZcams because my mom kind of forgot as well cuz she knew how to crochet but like she put it down for like 10 years so like 10 years over exaggerating but she taught me but mainly CZcams

I don't really watch you for the business side, even though I've learned a lot about handmade business from you, i just enjoy your content 🙂 i think you should make some merch with something about turtle hugs 😂 for me, i sort of associate you with those big, beautiful turtles and they are so huggable. How much would you say it costs to get started with selling your crocheted items? For instance how much should you take to your first market? How can you make the money to buy the yarn and supplies for your first market? In other words do you have any tips for getting into the crochet market business with little to no capitol to start.
The answer definitely varies but honestly you can keep start up costs low. Maybe spend $50 total on yarn and a hook. Try to make like 5 plushies and list on Etsy! I’d recommend selling online vs at market since markets tend to cost money to sell at them. I invested some money from my job to start my crochet business. I think I did $100 up front for yarn and hooks :) Good luck! ❤️

Hi! I have a question, I'm 14 but I want to start an online business but I don't think I'll be able to. Should I keep with markets or is there other ways to sell?
I don't know if you would be able to make a video on the different yarns you like to use for each project example like the turtle or octopus and show the labels? I would like to do some of your projects but I've been getting kind of confused or maybe it's just overwhelmed with the different yarns 😅😅 tonight I went to go get Bernet velvet yarn so I can make an octopus like in your video ....but when I got there the yarn was sooo thin and the yarn in your video looks much bigger.
Hi Hailey! Yes, I definitely want to do a video that breaks down all the yarns :) its deff confusing! Bernat velvet has two types, regular and baby. The baby velvet will be much thinner so maybe thats why yours looks thinner?
@@crochetbygenna that would be amazing!! Actually bought the Velvet and the baby velvet and i see there is a difference. However the original bernat velvet is also much thinner than the sweet snuggles and then thaaat is so much thinner than the chenille 😆

For the most part, if the pattern is pretty much the same, it would probably be considered copying, but its always hard!
