First Ride Review: Yamaha X-Max 300

- It has been a while since we last had a scooter on test here at MRW. With the ever-increasing cost of fuel and living, we were eager to find a solution to save both time and money on your weekly commute. Let me explain before all the die-hard bikers say- but it’s a scooter? Firstly, it’s not just any scooter, it’s a Maxi scooter, and more importantly than that, it’s a Yamaha X-Max 300. Scooters like the Yamaha X-Max are the perfect utensil to replace your current car or motorcycle for the weekly trip to and from the office. They offer great protection from the elements with their bodywork, are cheap to maintain, easy to ride, have more than ample storage compartments, and most importantly, are simply sublime on fuel.

After several decades of riding bikes, I got my first scooter, a 2022 Yamaha Zuma125 three years ago and loved it. I'm currently riding a 2016 Honda Forza300 and looking to switch to the Yamaha Xmax 300. Not a lot of 'Maxi' scooter options here in Canada, but I'm glad that Yamaha brings in the Xmax.
I just picked up a new 2023 Xmax 300 for ONLY $6299 out the door ....thats cheap as heck for such a great machine !!!!!!
Where did you find it for that price ? I’m interested in this machine in the USA
@jgeph2.4 look in Cycle Trader and dealers that have any 2023s left are letting them go for 5794 ....you might have to get it shipped or pick it up.....if you live far away .....good luck !

The 2023 goes for 6500 in Europe. 6200 USD is a good price. I get my 2024 next week

Used my yamaha xmax 300 for couple of years now (2021) Absolute pleasure and thankful for 22000km insident free.
It is worth every cent. Great milage and great for long distance.
Wouldn’t swap my Xmax’ or burgman for any bike,
And it rides so much better than any Ive tested ... its motor is so much quieter and smoother than any !!!!

Price is cheap for what you get ...mine was $6299 out the door !!!
They handle a passenger better than most bikes you can’t tell anyone is on the back,

Not at all. 9700 NZ bucks for the XMAX Yamaha. And the 400cc BMW motor scooter is nearly 16000 NZ bucks. I reckon the Yamaha is a better scoot.
