I had great friends so we always went out to a little forest next to us and we used to try to find bees or something like that and we watched and admired the beauty of them. we also played tag in the forest and sometimes we get lost but we do usually bump into each other like 5 mins later. i’m 13 rn and this was when i was abt 6 - 9 years old. this really made me cry bc of how nostalgic this is to me cuz this world was awesome during those times, like around 2016 - 2019. now this world is just a mess and i hate it.

The man grabbed me but not enough and I rode right down into the ditch and crawled away through the cattails. They sped off because a logging truck was closing in. I found out later that he saw the whole thing and turned in their plate number, helping to get them arrested.
Being forced outside was Gen X's most cherished time! Just be back home before the street lights were on or get to one of your friends house and call home.

When I was a kid in Italy in the '80 we used to play crazy war games with blow guns in the woods and hills near our houses. We formed teams and you had 3 lives (you could be killed 3 times before you were out of the current game). It was basically like Call of Duty but in the open and you exercised and got sunlight. Also, we had wild cherries, apples, and hazel nuts in the wood that we got as snacks between one fight and another. It was magical. One time I got one of these paper darts we made (like long cones of paper you put in your blow gun) in my eye and it really hurt. All my friends came to visit at home hoping I didn't lose an eye. These things could fly 30 yards easily. It was okay and recently the guy who shot me contacted me via FB and asked me to forgive him for hurting me (it was not his fault, it was an accident). It was worth living dangerous lives for that kind of freedom.
