This is the best battle report I've ever watched, for a simple reason: I can fucking follow what's going on. The way you explain the action is so useful for new players like me. The cenital camera with the "dark fog" and the subtitles... it's perfect. And of course, the video doesn't last 3 hours. This is perfect, for real. Thanks
This is one of the best battle reports I've ever seen. You take pauses to explain your thought process. When it comes down to the time-consuming details like moving units, you are able to speed it up and narrate over it. It makes watching this (as opposed to setting aside 4 hours to watch a report) do-able.

Hopefully people that love competitive will learn from that. Jordan always was but maybe people overlook it as he always is so really helps to see how a fight with two confident and calm generals turns out.

Really great game! I thought it was all over after that first double turn but smart play really turned it around.
Man, I can count on one hand the times I've not used Mannfred's buff aura. It makes such a huge difference.

Sadly, Mannfred can't take an artefact, since he is a unique character.
Scratch the above. After watching the complete thing, I see now, that they made a lot of mistakes while showing the lists.
The artefact is on the VLoZD (+3D attacks for complete charges made)

Would love to see a show case of the miniatures maybe at the start of the report but other then that you guys do amazing battle reports! Really enjoyed the watch!

YES! Finally soulblight on the channel I’ve been waiting so long! Gg my dudes such an interesting game. It hurt so much seeing those grave guard come in then get wiped out because they were out in the open :( was Matt rolling to bring things back at the end of every turn? Didn’t feel like he was trying at the end of the opponents turn either? Man… I’m raging too at the 1s on the priority rolls haha

Awesome game! Might have been my favorite one yet.
I was nervous when I saw those Grave Guard deepstrike, gambling on a 9" charge facing a deepkin double turn, really left them out to dry. I would have preferred to see them pop out behind a screen, nicely in range of Bella, Vamp Lord and Mannfred, ready to pounce 2.5" behind a screen. You can load up an attack on them with the Vampire Lord as it rolls over to your next turn, so they could have been at +3 attacks in turn 2. Still really stoked to see Matt grind out the win with some clever play!

One question regarding the Soulblight list, can Manfred be equiped with an artifact? I thought named characters were not allowed anything maybe I'm wrong!

Good report! Turn 3 when you charged mannfred you should have been able to attack before he teleports because you fight at the start of the phase and he teleports at the start of the phase but you do your at the start abilities first since it’s your turn
Sadly, this is not true. When someone is chosen to fight in the combat phase, that is technically AFTER the "beginning of the combat phase" stuff. So Mannfred must opt out of attacking when he teleports.

Wow what an absolute grind off a match guys, Matt losing so many priority rolls was insane (the only other person I know that rolls that badly did today's narration 😜)..
One question though Matt mentioned something about the sequence of Manfred and his teleport but I'm not sure what he meant, could someone explain it?

I was confused about that at first too.. I believe it means Mannfred will charge and then teleport but he can still make a 3” pile in move after teleporting because he charged
@@cdance93 thanks after reading his warscroll and the rules that does seem to be the case, he could even do a monstrous rampage if I'm not mistaken before teleporting out..

Correct. Mannfred made his charge, therefore he would be able to do monster actions, then teleport AND pile in 3 inches to snag the back point.

Reavers aren’t battleline as the Eidolon isn’t Isharann. Well, they are with the new points and warscrolls, but that doesn’t seem to be in play here… so it feels kinda pointless to point it out since there’s no need to correct it in the future.

That was a close one, and mannfred really showed his utility in that game. It's unfortunate that the Strike First ability of Idoneth was nerfed so that they don't get to fight before Mannfred uses his ability, or the game would have gone very differently. Although who knows what the new IDK battletome holds? Cheers!

Great video, but every time Matt pronounced the dynasty name "Vie-krose" instead of "Veer-kose" or "Weer-kose", it made me cringe. :)
