If Rublev retires in the finals that would make it a legendary masters.
😄😆
Meanwhile Rublev - Bweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh
😂😂😂
😂😂
😂
I hate that everyone is throwing shade at Felix due to these retirements. It’s not his fault and I am certain he would not like to win this way.
I think Hospital open...i mean Madrid open will go in history for most injuries ever in main draw.
Verissimo 😮😮purtropo 😢😢😢 che tristeza 😢😢😮😮
They are only human, putting themselves under enormous pressure. No wonder there are some injuries.
@@ingridw.bernal8926they aren’t as professionals as previous generations. Now they have so much distractions that is hardly to focus on their tenis career
@@ingridw.bernal8926also, IMO, they lack of technique, they focus their gameplay in powerful hits rather than build every point
@@fautless Maybe pickleball is more your thing.
Very kind and sympathetic reaction from Felix. He know how disheartening injury can be, especially with the groin and hip. Hope Lehecka recovers quickly, cause he looks like a great up and coming player.
Agreed. Felix is a class act, and Jiri shows the makings of a great player.
the position in the calendar of the Madrid 1000 Master is nonsense. Squeezed between Monte Carlo and Rome/Roland Garros. No surprise top players get there (or leave) injured (Sinner, Alcaraz, Medvedev) and/or go out soon (Tsitsipas/Ruud)
A very mature, thoughtful set of responses from Félix.
Djokovic was smarter the anybody else in keeping his body healthy.
@@ballbreathtaker9773Unlikely than anybody else, but obviously something he did very well. Even a lying, elitist doofus can make good decisions.
All it took for Felix to get back to the top of the sport was everyone else retiring 😂
LMAO
M going to final😊😊😊
😂😂😂😂
He did beat Rudd but they never showed the highlights
Hahahaha
Bro had the easiest path to his first masters final
You have to pounce on opportunities when they present themselves. This is just the chance he's been waiting for to get things turned in the right direction again in his career. Let's see what he does with it.
@@sandman1347je pense que ce garçon aliassime gagnera 🎉🎉une sensation enfin c'est encore à voir 😊😮😮😮😮😢😢pauvre ledcheka
He didn’t ask for it,he has been playing amazing
Luck on Felix
He had such a tough time in the past year, I think he deserved this chance to turn things around.
This is absolutely insane! Everyone is injured in this tournament hope all players can be healthy again before French Open
I mean, what is FAA supposed to say? He’s a class act with a cool head.
How about a bit of honesty? "Oh well, looks like my voodoo is working!"
@@danielslawecki6911How about you being honest for once? "Oh well, looks like my racism is working!"
@@Gammonsworstnightmare Thank you:)
Heartbreaking for Lehecka. If a tornado blew through Madrid on Sunday - wouldn't shock me anymore. FAA winning the title would be the fitting end to this crazy tournament. 🤣
😂
Speedy recovery Lehecka! I soo wanted to see you in the finals!
He looked like he was in a lot of pain 😢
3:35 - «Felix, congratulations! You’ve played fantastic tennis, especially in the last two matches» 😄
FAA being classy. Classy at the net - classy in post-match...
I've never seen 3 walkovers in one tournament. Felix did get a legitimate win against Ruud though. He's a bit lucky, but that's not his fault. I hope this tournament finally gets him out of his slump. Go Felix!
Ruud played nearly every day for a month and eventually run out steam
Jiri Lehecka is in the same mold as Rafa. He gives 200 % for every shot, the difference being Rafa has the ability to cut short points with his ability and variety. But Lehecka is pushing his body too much every single point, I'm not surprised he ended up injured.
Kudos to his effort and hard work, though! Take care. You need to let loose at times.
He has anger issues...I had him finishing the year in the top 10 but after seeing his reaction today I am not a fan anymore.
Good analysis
FAA - The luckiest man in this tournament, 3 opponent retired
With all these injuries it will be a miracle if anyone can make it through the French Open.
You-Know-Who will win now that everyone is pre-injured.
@@got2bjoshVoldemort - 2024 RG champion 😂😂😂
Maybe nadal have a chance to win it
@@kenanderkroate Nadal hasn't impressed so far. Some mediocre players have a golden opportunity to win a grand slam tournament now.
@@kenanderkroate Oldal IS one of the injured. Janhip, Carlitear, Medvedead, Mensick, Oldal, & now Weary Leheckyeah.
Go 🇨🇦 Lets bring this Euro Trophy on this side of the pond.
He beat Casper in straight sets on Clay. Should be enough belief to go into this final with confidence
Casper who had just played two consecutive finals, tired out of his mind. Thats a big achievement for you? Lol then you don’t really watch tennis.
@Sidddo8 well FAA had the stamina to play for 3 titles straight. And actually won them sooo what's the excuse for ruud.
@Sidddo8 lol, okay ………..
@WuLOOLOO99 right, Jannik just literally went on a full streak bagging multiple trophies and this man going on about fatigue.
@WuLOOLOO99 right, Jannik just literally went on a full streak bagging multiple trophies and this man yapping about fatigue.
Believe it or not this was the first highlight of Aliassime in this tournament
Which is pretty bizarre because his match with Ruud was a good one.
@@lizzies4964 It was not. Ruud was on his last legs after playing every day for a month
For being injured he sure did smash that racquet pretty good!! Hope he recovers quickly.
And then carried to bags
Being Czech myself this didn’t felt like a reason to break the racquet. I’m sure his back felt it but surprisingly strong swing for back injury for sure ….
@@valr852 His pain was visible, plus adrenalin of course. But there is still difference to be able to carry his bags and play top tenis.
Its possible he is havng strong spasms in the nerves along his back, because he was moving before he dropped then he was walking ok after. Either as said above carrying two bags ans smashing your raquet is different than playing top level tennis where you have to torque your upper body and use your legs at the same time
Problem was he couldn't even stand up straight, and after shaking hands he not only bend over hitting the ground but then stepped up his racket to brake it further. If you ever experienced serious lower back issues you know it can't be that bad.
Wishing Jiri all the best with a speedy recovery. I'm an FAA fan but no one likes to win like this.
Lehecka looks like he could play any sport he wanted to
After watching him tonight, seems like he can’t play anything 😂
@@JohnnyVictor666 fair, haha.
Felix is fresh as a daisy since he never goes deep in tournaments
He has an amazing physique. An incredibly sexy guy.
He kinda looks like a soccer player, now that you mention it.
He has anger issues...I had him finishing the year in the top 10 but after seeing his reaction today I am not a fan anymore.
Hope Lehecka heals up soon. He's been playing well.
Aww man. I wish Lehecka a speedy recovery and better body care. He is actually one of the best competitors on tour with an undeniable game.
Sadly for Jiri but I’m happy for FAA. It will definitely help his confidence going forward after this 2 weeks. He was kinda lost this past 2 years
Man, I'm fighting left hip/back injury right now. Frustrating injury
I've never had an injury in tennis except for right after covid. I hurt my left hip/back too and it just never heals, I'm young too. Now I hurt my right one too, not even close to as bad, but like damn this hip injury sucks
Same here. After catching covid my chest hurts for a year now. Costochondritis for no reason
@@dannylaza1326 there's a book "Ageless, Painless Tennis" check it out. Might help you
From ai:
**2017 Season**: The 2017 tennis season was notable for the number of top players who ended their seasons early due to injuries. Novak Djokovic (elbow), Andy Murray (hip), Stan Wawrinka (knee), and Kei Nishikori (wrist) were among those who had to take extended breaks from the tour to recover. This significant absence of multiple top players was quite unusual and had a noticeable impact on the tournaments for the remainder of the year.
Anyone remember any other instances ? Nature of a nonstop year round sport… tennis is brutal
Do you remember also Berdych, Raonic and someone else?
@@nicolopaganelli8302 borna coric?
What the heck, they jeered Medvedev and cheered Lehecka, am I the only one who saw this.
They jeered meddy because he Russian for sure
When I watched live, they didn't boo Medvedev... It was Tennis TV that edited the sound at the end.
So that leaves us with Felix vs Rublev in the finals? It would be nice to see Felix win a big title! Should be an interesting match!
Wow this is getting crazy with the injuries
Say what you want but FAA looks like one of the top tennis players who could play all day and not look like he's played a single second. That has to count for something in a career...
Shame for Lehecka - Looks like he has the game to be Top 5 down the line.
Hard to say after playing 3/6 matches, you’d look fresh too
Auger Aliassime proves to be unstoppable in this tournament.
Victories over Mensik, Sinner & Lehecka!
Hope not serious injury Jeri and get well soon. Congrats to Felix!
How rude the interviewer is!! Felix is a true gentleman and he handled him well

Wishing Jiri a speedy recovery❤
I will keep my Fingers crossed for Felix. He should win his first 1000 Masters!!!
Felix is such a humble person he deserves this title ❤
The most humble player title?.
It’s his time now, can’t miss such a big chance.
titles are for winning matches, not for being humble
Felix is unbelievably articulate and mature for his age
Wish Lehecka, Medvedev, Sinner and Alcaraz a speedy recover. While Rublev is gathering momentum and confidence, FAA is sailing through to final with walkovers haha. It's not his fault tho, hopefully FAA can overturn his win/loss deficit a bit by winning the final but 'Bweeh' is too much atm. Predicting a straight sets win for Rublev.
Get well soon JIRI. !!!!!!!!!!
Can we just talk about how many players got injured in this tournament?
You don’t have to justify anything Felix, not your fault players are injured,GO GET IT,BEST OF LUCK,WILL BE WATCHING
Finally, they are clapping. Jiri had no support in Madrid. When he played Nadal, all they cared about was Nadal. Yesterday again, his opponent got more attention. I felt and still feel bad for Jiri
Good for them, they will value respect towards both players on the court next time, maybe they will be luckier.
Jiri is scary. Did you see the way he destroyed his raquete? The guy had major issues.
I q esperabas, q jugando un campeón como Nadal n Madrid i aparte q és éspañol tuviera el otro más apoyo, no t parece q és un poco d risa 😂
I really know how much pain Lehecka feels, I experienced it for the past 3 months and it was terrible
Felix has had the luckiest draw to the final but it’s great he gets a chance to play for a masters 1000!
Definitely but beating Casper is a big win to get him there
Felix = "Lucky" in Latin... ;-) But some would argue "you make your own luck" which I feel applies here.
I'd rather say luckiest match outcomes. It was a strong win against Ruud but would have had to show up against Sinner had he not withdrawn and now faces Rublev in the final.
No way, he doesn't deserve it at all, it will be won by Rublev as it's right to be
@@usermatisse Of course he deserves it, what a silly comment.
Respectable, this kid.
recupérate pronto lehecka, has demostrado que puedes hacerlo muy bien. Estoy seguro de que esto te servirá de impulso❤
FAA getting 3 walkovers in one tournament was his only chance of getting to a Masters final these days. He did beat Ruud on clay though.
Ruud eventually run out of steam -played nearly every day for a month (15 matches on clay) before FAA got him. FAA - not even half of that
@@mrcitizenful a wins a win man
@@Milos-mk9pb yes but as with many wins or losses, background info is crucial to explain it
Felix seems to destine for the title but equally good luck to Rublev. Both are pretty brilliant.
The string from Lehecka's racquet has the shortest playing time😅
Auger Alliasim is achieving his best result ever and hasn't needed to do anything for it, how funny is that?!
Felix won 3 matches out of 6 and is in a Masters1000 Final with more than 1/2 a million dollars guaranteed in his pocket. Chad.
This sport is cruel, he had a real chance to win the tournament
I can only imagine the frustration he had not to be in position of fighting anymore
Felix made it through to the finals with three walkovers. Wow! How lucky he has been this tournament. Fingers crossed for his match with Rublev. I was shocked when I saw that Sinner walked. I was thrilled for Felix (being Canadian and from Montreal).
How can you be thrilled if the player didn't work to be in the finals? Come on. I mean not his fault clearly but to be thrilled when someone reaches the final after 3 retirements is...laughable.
@@buzzfunk : Felix showed up and did "work" to the best of his ability. It wasn't his fault that, for whatever reasons, his opponents failed to keep up. What is laughable is your inability to grasp why people have favorite players they like to support.
@@buzzfunk I'm thrilled all the same. Don't rain on my parade! We'll see how he does on Sunday.
Fingers crossed for Rublev. FAA does not deserve a masters title for winning just 3 matches
@@mrcitizenful That's true. And, I think he knows it. But, still. Rublev will probably win, unless...we don't know what will transpire.
What happened to Madrid?
Are there any issues with the venue?
The rate of player injuries is too high?
This is not normal
Wonder if it's the extended schedule, these prolonged Master events aren't good.
Cold and windy weather maybe?
Felix Felishious brewed some lucky potion 😂
The universe pays Felix a debt and now he has to take advantage of this opportunity. He has to win in the final.
hopefully not, that wouldn't be fair on players who had to earn their M1000 titles by winning all their matches
I think its more than jusy empathy. Felix genuinely wants to find his form again and then prove to himself he's back. These retirements are robbing him of the chance to prove himself
Wow 🤩
Two or three in a row !
It is painful 😣
That's crazy.. he goes from round 16 to the finals!
Felix is Class Act. Good luck in the final, and I hope Jiri makes a speedy recovery
It's time to change the rules of compulsory tournaments, but to make only the grand slams compulsory and to leave space between the various tournaments of at least a week.
Not even grand slams should be compulsory -- if players don't want to play - like Casper skips Wimbledon - then why force them to play?
And from mow on nobody wants to have to face Aliassime. He has become the most feared player.
*The FAA Jinx!*
- Mensik retired!
- Sinner withdrew!
- Lehecka retired!
Tennis is a sport of a lifetime. This video will help keep the interest in a great sport of a lifetime.
Where are the people again who said that clay is easy on your body and the easiest surface to play on ?
So true lmao 😂
Why is everyone getting injured 😢. I wish you speedy recovery Jiri ❤
Tennis is very physically demanding unfortunately and the player's schedules are way too packed :(
Can't fault FAA for the circumstances. The tour is brutal, he showed up and beat last week's champ Ruud and still has to play an in form Rublo to win it. Maybe everyone's just getting there reps and dropping out because it's an Olympic year and they need the rest.

👍👍🇨🇱
Not giving Felix the flowers he deserves,he held his own
Que mala suerte, con las lesiones.
Que se recupere pronto y bien.
Now whoever wins this tournament will be called "Lucky" while injuries are part of the game and the players are just not physically ready to handle how tough world class clay tournaments are. If you think this is a lot of injuries in one same clay tournament, wait for Roland Garros...
Omg. He was doing so well. Hope he gets well and recovers soon.
I think the cold weather and the clay of Madrid have worsened too many injured players.
When asked about what impacts it has had on Auger, he says, "It's not about me, it's more about the players who have to walk out". Respect to Felix.
Being at the right time in the right place. Ofcourse playing well helps.
Gran torneo, Il Mutua open '24 . tutti i giocatori in perfetta forma.
Very very sad. All tennis fans Im sure wishes all the players healthy to give us good tennis. I think the tour really needs to reflect.
Bad break for Lehecka!😂 He went through lots of very tough players in his draw!😮
Why laughing to the fact that he is injured?
Very unexpected and welcomed final in big time event . Someone is going to be very happy Sunday
Crazy, so many injuries this season!
Such a shame!! Lehecka beat FAA in their only previous encounter so would have had a very good chance today. So sad. But it happens. It does seem odd that it happened to SO many players at this tournament.
Such a tough guy lehecka. Hope he gets better i was really rooting for him
Holy cow 😂😂 Did Felix play any matches to get to the final?
Hey you can't pick how its going to go in any tournament, You just play every point and move forward. Good response from Felix though. I will be rooting for him in the final
Classy response from FAA. Jiri did more damage to his already ailing body by destroying that racket.
2:09, me few weeks ago off a backhand slice. Once your back locks up you are done. Roman chair really helps.
What a ,,MATCH‘‘
It was amazing
Match speed.
With the level of tennis today it’s no wonder the attrition rate has gone up markedly. Not only are players more agile but significantly more powerful. To hit with the requisite power puts an enormous strain on the spine and attendant muscle groups. Add to that the stress on the shoulder and elbows UGH!
I agree! Chiropractors, massage therapists and knowledgeable trainers are a must. I think the schedule is too brutal. Everyone needs time to rest and recuperate. The young players may be crippled when they get older. It's not right. Like racing thoroughbreds so often they break their bones.....
