A lot of foremans need to watch a video like this !!!!! At my job the foremans sometimes get there 1 to 2 hrs late and then ask why some people arrive late or they put you on a task and don’t have the materials for you to do it or don’t bring them then we are looking for the materials for 1 hr wasting time.

Great video! I agree with everything you said.
I was a foreman for about 16 years, of course starting out with small jobs and then eventually doing very large projects.
I would always keep a list of tasks that needed to be done and who I would have do those based on who had the skills to complete them and make sure I had the materials for them to start it when they were done with what they were working on. Some people didn’t like me because I wanted things done my way, I would take suggestions but if I didn’t like it, then it had to be my way. I was the one that had to answer to my boss or the construction manager or the inspector. Other guys had a lot of respect for me because I was good at what I did and so well organized.
I worked for a great company for 23 years but in the last year there was a new project manager that him and I didn’t agree with his cheap short cuts to save money and not do quality work, so 3 years ago I quit. Now I work for a testing company making more money on straight time now then I made in OT at the other company. A lot less stress for a lot more money.
I miss being a Forman and the work but not the stress
