So basically a bloom threshold is the threshold for certain objects at brightness, so the brighter the object is, it'd have bloom, and if an object had no brightness or shine to it, it wouldn't have as much bloom, basically the lower the threshold, the more "pop" or glow you'll see on lesser shiny objects. Like comparing a white tile to a light, with the proper threshold the tile shouldn't bloom even with a white texture, but having a light source and shiny object, would bloom.

To be exact:
Bloom is a post processing effect done by taking the bright parts of your screen and blurring their edges so they extend slightly onto the other parts of the image.
It's an effect cameras have in the real world, and it's especially useful in video games because it makes bright areas feel brighter despite not actually making your screen emit a stronger light.
It's quite an expensive effect because it's done by taking your rendered screen image, upping the contrast a huge amount so the bright areas are very bright, then blurring that image and drawing it back over the original. This is then doubled since VR games have a camera for each eye.
Bloom threshold refers to how bright a pixel needs to be before it's considered a "bright part of the screen". Lower values will make less bright areas be affected by bloom.
Bloom intensity is how strong the blur effect is. Extremely high values aren't noticeable as they just brighten your whole screen, too low and you won't notice the effect.
That being said, bloom is a fairly vital effect. It's probably pretty likely it was disabled because it doesn't work, or doesn't work as intended on the quest platform.
Bloom threshold changes the amount of light it needs to have the bloom glow. So if you set it low to littlest amount of light will glow. Very high then only very bright lights will glow

This is an issue that I might have because I'm dumb, but how do you get the book in the game? When I press the menu button, all that shows up is this scroll thing with way less settings

It crashed and my game won't reopen I need help because I only have the texture mod thing left in the folder and it's stuck at 97%
Edit: I deleted the game so hopefully that will fix it if it doesn't I'm just gonna look everywhere for a solution
Delete the texture thing then. It’s probably out of date
Same thing happend to me, I changed the texture quality to medium and once I tried to change it back to high, like It originally was at, and the game kept crashing. Deleted and downloaded the game again, but I don't know if it changed anything because I forgot what high texture quality looked like 😅
