- AusPost 2023 AFL $1 Coin Set Review
Today I have a Look at the new coins that have just been released through Australia Post
There are 20 in total: 18 uncirculated coins representing each AFL club, plus one each for the AFL and AFLW competitions.
Each coin features an embossed club or competition logo - the set includs collector’s folder.
Let me know what you think.
I find coins & I collect coins.
Australia has some of the best looking coins on the planet.
Our standard coins are classics of animal depictions.
Our commemoratives are World class and world leading.
Join me as I noodle through Australian coins looking complete full sets of commemorative coins, rare coins and coins that can be worth more than face value.

Well done Gary.
Now you have all possible AFL coins in UNC condition.
Great score.
Great overview Phil, good luck for coloured cup coins next time round, I'm picking up another set from my lucky Post office tomorrow along with a Vietnam carded coin and then hopefully some $2 Vegemite coins from Woolies. Cheers Peter J 😂🙏👍
Good luck.

I’m lucky tho I got it from one of the self checkouts as change
@@Bobby69694 Nice one Goose.
@@PhilFindsCollects thanks it’s kind of mint condition no scratches or anything very shiny as well.
Interesting set! We need a football set in the UK, must be something to do with licensing or it would have already happened surely!
Thanks LAFTA.
Licensing could be an issue,
But i feel like it would be more of an "establishment" issue on the non commercial nature of UK coin themes.
It the RAM wanted to do it they could just put it on Territory coins that they mint there. They've done that with all sorts of tat haven't they?.
@@PhilFindsCollects You say that, but we have Star Wars 50ps coming!
@@LAFTA True, But will they be circulating?. Hmm..
@@PhilFindsCollects Highly doubt it!!
@@LAFTA 🤣🤣🤣
Are there smudges on the both sides of all coins in the sealed tube? Seemed to be from this video.
Yes, there was quite a bit of manufacturing residue on nearly every coin.
Very interesting that the sets are sold this way!
With the Euro each country is allowed to only make circulating commemoratives for the €2 denomination. In Germany you can get the circulating commemoratives just like many non-circulating coins at face value at branches of the Federal Bank. You can get them loose or in rolls, but it's always rolls with the same coins. So there's no chance of getting different mintmarks let alone different coins in those rolls.
Thanks Alrik,
You have so many mints!!
I look at those and wonder how hard it must be for a compulsive completionist.🤣
@Phil Finds & Collects well I am certainly somewhat of a completionist. Luckily there are hardly any low mint coins, a certain date+mint will always be either NIFC or multiple millions. So I know I will get all the circulating ones at some point.
I don't like buying "normal" coins for their date so at the moment I only have one NIFC, a 50 cents 2007-J.
Next time Phil
Thanks Rich
Hopefully.

Yep, Not for everyone.
