- My brother and I chartered a boat and went wreck fishing just off the English coast in an area known as The Manacles. I managed to hook onto a giant Ling as well as several other species of fish!!

Wow you got to catch a cod! The ling cod looks like a cross between a Murray Cod and a catfish haha. It looked fairly lean, but I'm not familiar with that species. How did it taste?

I didn't ask for the REAL length mate. I asked if your arms were long enough for the OFFICIAL version of the story. Lets see, add the obligatory 1/3 for the story (acceptable angler practice) + we will allow another say 10% for it being PB, and then, it was an unfamiliar species, so you probably get away with an extra 10% on that. In a foreign country, on a boat +15%. So we are up to about 95 or so inches roughly now...
And it was an English fish, caught by a Canadian, telling an Aussie the length. But still inches... I laughed when I heard the boat captain saying "30 pound". Was that the weight or what he was going to charge you for catching the fish lol?
