IN THE U.S IT WOULD BE A PLYMOUTH, IT WAS MADE IN VENESQUELA SO THEY CALLED IT A DESOTO, THE TRIM IS JUST DIFFERENT

Where was the video taken? The Diplomat series was for export only and the car could have been built in Detroit and shipped over or assembled in a few overseas plants. My 1956 Diplomat was made in Australia

I've never seen DeSoto like that. It looks very much like Plymouth of that year. Needs white walls.

Actually it was a melding of a Plymouth with a DeSoto facia (DeSoto Diplomat) or with a Dodge facia (Dodge Kingsway) made for export only by American or Canadian Chrysler-Plymouth assembly plants.
