Captain Nezumi isn’t a polar bear, he’s a rat. That’s the joke.
He's a mouse but there is another marine based on a rat its unknown if there's any relation between the 2
@@dragonwings123456789 Which one I think I've forgotten or do you mean Nero?
@@Vozird na nero is a weasel and I don't remember the character all that well just that I think tekking mentioned both the mouse marine and rat marine in a video
@@Vozird spoiler for anime only
the rat marine was the captain or rear admiral (rank uncertain) who tried to take over Sphinx Island while Marco was in Wano. He was defeated by Weevil, who was in turn captured by Greenbull.
@@dragonwings123456789 I mean is there any relation between a rat and a mouse in our world? Answer. Not really. A mouse can’t grow into a rat. They also have a different number of chromosomes. Rats are often angrier and more violent. They at best would be genetic 2nd cousins.
Garp doesn't need a fleet, the fledt needs him. Garp throwing cannonballs like baseballs & Mihawk cutting up ships in half from a distance are the first clues we have to the power scale in this show...can't wait for Season 2
I do wish they alluded to that a bit more though. A remark like from Mihawk to Garp when they confronted each other on the ship about how its not wise for them to fight there or something to really hit home how two "normal" humans can still cause mass devastation would have been good. Mihawk gets one moment to show off how high the scale can be but it would be good to make it appear not solely unique.
@@In-The-Zone I mean, Mihawk's introduction shows him slicing a ship in half from far away with a single swing of his sword. I think the audience gets it. Early One Piece didn't really have the huge scale the second half of the story does. You mostly just get big moments every now and then.
@@Caidezes In the anime and manga yes, in the LA no. I've seen many people assume he has a devil fruit because of the ship slice. In the live action its the only thing we get thats noticeably super human until we get Luffy bringing down Arlong Park. Sure Garp pegging the cannon ball like its baseball is superhuman but it doesn't have any sort of grand feel to it. In the anime and Manga we have Luffy throwing around massive a boulder from cliffsides in his fight with Kuro, Zoro dragging that massive jail cell when injured with Luffy in it, Sanji kicking away the gunboat, Gin smashing through Pearls steal armor, and even Morgan slitting the ground with his axe. It makes it obvious its a world of people with insane strength, not just magic powers.
@@In-The-Zone To be fair... Garp doesnt' really do anything "grand" untill post wano...
@@Wingnut353 The point isn't about Garp, its about setting a clear notion of how strength is in the series.
I really love how the barrel scene makes people tear up, not from sadness but strange melancholy hearing people reaffirm their dreams❤
Everyone in the world deep down still has that little kid echoing in their ear. Life is about learning to listen to them
Yep, even as someone that both read and watched that scene multiple times already in the anime and manga it got me tearing up too. It was just so well done with the music and brief flashbacks
I saw an interview with the showrunner where he said that the flashbacks to when they were children were an addition by the editor, and it made him cry too. He highlighted that and Luffy seeing the straw hat Jolly Roger as some of the most emotional moments that took him by surprise.
@travellerinthedark yeap. Thats why nami's and usopp's younger counterparts did not have scenes where they professed their dreams. I think to reshoot would have cost more time and money😭
@@fazzywazzy2472ya, plus, they were already pretty much done by that time. Kinda too late for reshoots.
I love the lines of "You're a wanted man now" and "That's all I wanted"
One of my favorite bits of subtle storytelling here that wasn't shown in this video was during the cast-off ceremony, when each of the crew were sharing their dreams accompanied by a flashback to a moment in their youth when they declared it, or realized it, Usopp's stands out not as a moment of clarity, or joy, or determination, but as a quiet moment of loss where he had nothing left. Usopp's dream isn't something that rose up from his heart, it's something he scrambled to piece together in the moment, thinking of the day he lost his mother. He wants to be a brave warrior of the sea for her, as much as for himself.
I saw it a little different... the first 4 already have their dreams and pursue them. Usopp on the other hand just wanted to see his father, that's not really a dream for himself. But joining this crew gave him a new purpose. They helped him discover his dream. That's how inspiring they are.
That would plant some outsider seed for Usopps deal in Water 7
Luffy cheering for Usop presents Oda's genius. Luffy is all about freedom, not being famous, which makes him spectacular, and Inaki’s spirit captures it.
I think it also starts setting up Water 7 early on really well, which is definitely an incredibly important story to get right so I'm glad they included it.
Which is interesting connected to being the King of the Pirates, that comes with fame, he doesn't want it because of the fame, he wants it for what it represents, having everything life has to offer, exploring ever inch of the ocean and finding the one piece, he's not a pillaging, scary pirate, he's the true essence of a pirate, the freedom, the adventure and a treasure hunt.
It has been so so so fun to watch Eric fall in love with One Piece
yeah but it's a little sad that we won't see the gang reacting to the anime cuz this is proof that they'd LOVE it :')
I'm so happy Eric loves Buggy! he's my favorite One Piece character 😂
Eric is biased because the actor is from another show he loves. But I also love that show and think he was perfectly casted.
@@Thehardtruth69 Buggy is perfect LOL. The same Buggy i knew in the early saga XD
Thank you Patreon for voting for "One Piece". Eric and Rick's reaction to this series is among the best reactions to this series in the reactorsphere.
The older cast deserves so much more credit than they will, likely, ever receive. They brought a seriousness and commitment that is worth more than is quantifiable. How the producers and directors got this out of them for this crazy set.....it's amazing. I knew none of them by name or recognition of their previous work either.
26:56- “one of the best castings, I can ever think of….”
THANK YOU - I know everyone loves him now but when he was originally cast, people were SO UPSET. I always believe when the ORIGINAL CREATOR is involved, you have to give the ENTIRE CAST a chance. He was perfect.
People were upset? I knew nothing about One Piece before this show, but I happened to watch an interview with the actor that made me want to watch it, because he was so dedicated to the character it was endearing. I can't imagine being a fan of Luffy and not immediately being won over by Iñaki.
lol I don’t know anybody that was upset about the casting before they saw the show stop taking bullshit.
@@travellerinthedark People thought his skin tone was darker than what luffy should have been along with his accent, people were not happy and unsure he would fit but, oh joyboy were they wrong.
@@Sors_Maybe some time in our lifetimes people will finally stop judging an actor's suitability for a role by their ethnicity...
@@Sors_luffy according to Oda would be brazilian, so it makes sense to have a brazilian actor even if he gets hate
"they're older than trees!!!" that should be a shark conservationist motto lol
One of my favorite parts of One Piece is when something big happens like Luffy's first wanted poster, they zoom out and show the rest of the world and their reactions to it. it makes the world seem so much bigger and dynamic, and I love seeing all the characters react to it. I'm so glad they kept that in to end the season.
Can't wait to see the world reacting to Strawhats in newspapers at the end of the second season.
26:56 Rick is right. Iñaki Godoy is perfect for the role. He not only nailed the personality of the character but physically he was spot on. Godoy's arms and legs are so long, the people directing were able to effectively use old school camera tricks to make his limbs look like they're longer than they really are and used CGI only when it was really needed.
He should more improve again about luffy. Especially about food, food important for luffy character.
So, the barrel scene originally didnt hace the flashbacks to the kid selves saying their dreams. The editor took the footage home, and came back after a weekend with a rough cut version of what we got in the final cut. The showrunner said that was the perfect personification of the shows team dynamic
Maybe Zoro would have won his fight against Mihawk if he called out his finishing move.
Oni Giri!!
@@exyuda6592that was Three Thousand Worlds at the final clash, not Oni giri. He used that against the recruiter from Baroque works.
Sanzen Sekai!!! (And still lost)
eric- "he gets so joy after pursuing them"👀👀
I think Luffy is actually living his dream. He thinks his dream is to find the One Piece but I think that is only a step along the way. He wants the freedom it represents
@@badplay156 He is in it for the journey, aswell as the end result. He doesn't want shortcuts to the goal. There are huge moments later on when this really shines through.
Well .. we can say he is very on point on that one.😉
So Mackenyu (Zoro) was only swapped out once in the entire show (him getting knocked back by Mihawk), but him and Taz (Sanji) basically did all their own stunts.
18:17 - I agree. It doesn’t even need to be HIS DREAM. Any step towards any dream for any wholehearted person is worth a celebration.
Erics face of pure joy practically the entire episode was so perfect to see. Never one to hide his emotion, I’m super happy you enjoyed the show. It’s an amazing representation of the source. Absolutely so well cast and acted. The messaging and sincere emotions were spot on and the actors fully captured that. Can NOT wait for s2. Need more Mihawk!
Favourite moment is when they set sail on Going Merry and the orchastra version to "We Are" started playing! Put a smile on my face!
Funny that Eric says a slingshot would be effective against Zombies
I mean you never know what you gonna get in this enormous crazy world 😂
Both Sanji and Zoro's did their own stunts, I believe. Mackenya (Zoro) is already fairly proficient at that kind of thing from previous roles, and Taz Skylar (Sanji) trained in kickboxing specifically for this.
Taz Skylar also took cooking lessons so he cook handle the knives properly
i believe Mackenya is a trained swordsman
Emily Rudd (Nami) did a lot of hers as well. She’s a black belt and uses a staff
Did not know this about her, does not surprise me though. @@ms-literary6320
@@theirishviking9278grew up in the industry. Mackenyu is the son of the legendary Sonny Chiba!
Iñaki really is a generational piece of casting. Luffy is a very tricky character to pull off in live action without him being annoying but man, he's just the fucking best. This adaptation is far from perfect for me but it did so many things excellently, including most importantly the characters and their dynamics together. The feel of One Piece is truly here and I felt it ALL with the tears along with you boys. Love how much Eric enjoyed it and cannot wait for season 2. (If you can't wait either Eric, feel free to watch the entire anime in between lol)
I love that Eric is so exhausted from happiness after every episode
I almost didn't watch the show despite all the praise it got. Thanks for reacting to it because once I watched your reaction to episode 2, I was sold and binged the entire thing. Super fun reactions all the way through!
Trust me, One Piece is a great series, & the first season of the live action basically just covers the prologue of the series. After this, there are more amazing locations, more lovable characters, & more sinister villains, especially with what Season 2 will cover.
Season 2 alone will have so many fan favorite characters coming on, especially the Demon Child. A lot of One Piece fans love her.
The song at the end is just so good... Choosing Aurora for the song was just such a nice idea.
Another banger by the same geniuses that gave us 'Toss a Coin to your Witcher'!
@@travellerinthedark They did a really good job writing for Aurora also... it sounds a lot like one of her own songs.
My favorite moment was when I finished the first episode and realized I had smiled the whole time. Truly felt like I had fell in love with One Piece all over again.
Dammit its such a good live action. Not just fun but just like Legit good camera work, stunts, adapted language and story. And ITS SO FUN. So excited for season 2
17:32 when We are starts playing in the background..GOOSEBUMPS! They captured this perfectly.
Loved this show. After taking an unintentionally extended break from the manga, the live action has reignited my love for One Piece (catching up on the source material now while waiting for Season 2). Loved the production value/attention to detail, the music, and the cast (my particular favorites were iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jeff Ward (Buggy), and Steven Ward (Mihawk).
I’m glad the show has introduced the franchise to a larger audience and I eagerly await Season 2/Alabasta
Same, I just caught up to the manga (in the middle of a month long break 😭) and my mind is going wild.
Where did you stop and where are you now? I've taken periodic breaks from the manga, but I feel like I'm super invested in the weekly releases right now.
@@darksteel78 I stopped around the middle of Fish-Man Island, when that was releasing weekly. There was a lot of stuff going on in my personal life, and the combination of how flanderized Sanji's character was, the amount of fanservice-y stuff, and Transphobia Island was enough to put me off. I'm really glad that the live-action inspired me to power through - although Punk Hazard and Dressrosa still aren't my favorites, they had really good moments, and things really picked back up during WCI and Wano. Egghead has been incredible so far.
Exact same. I stopped the manga at Skypeia, then after watching the live action I picked it back up and binged the whole manga in a couple weeks.
The entire east blue arc encapsulates dreams and talks of achieving them. It only gets better when the story progresses to moments where you'll actually remember those promises and see the strawhats being fulfilled fight after fight, scene after scene.
and now we're about to see the first dream come true probably this year, which is still super fucking cool
Sanji's stunt man IS the actor, that's why his scenes look so good. I believe most of the actors were able to do mild stunt work but, Sanji's actor was a stunt man, which is a good choice for someone who uses their body as a weapon and little else.
I've beat this drum before, but I would love to see a One Piece manga read along podcast. Even if it's just Rick and Eric, and did it volume by volume.
The amount of times eric would throw that volume across the room would be peak
Please do this BW!
This needs more upvotes
I'd rather they wait for the Remake
What i love when i found out, that the dub version of this in Japan uses pretty much all the va from the anime. Made for a fun rewatch
You guys watching One Piece live action and then tomorrow being the annual April Fools anime watch makes me hope that the real prank will be the Blind Wave crew upgrading the anime into a regular watch, even 1 or 2 episodes a week would be awesome. Hint, hint, wink, wink...
There isn’t much fictional literature that I REALLY want to survive the tides of time and get read by generations to come… But One Piece is 100% one of them
There isn't any fictional literature that I really want to survive for in order to see the end, except OP.
It's honestly crazy they found real life luffy just living somewhere in Mexico
18:23 Right there! That's perfectly what Luffy is. We even see that in the anime too.
Alright y’all we’re gonna have to unlock the secrets of immortality so that BW can watch all of One Piece. These reactions were so much fun to follow and even though I knew Eric would love it, it was great to see just how much he enjoyed One Piece. This story is truly special and I’m so happy this live action did it justice.
Right??? In all of my years watching the crew reacting to stuff, one piece is the only thing I wish they would break their rule for. And I mean it in the sense of them, yes, uploading just once a week as they always do, but the difference being that each video contained their summarized reaction to 3-4 episodes depending on how dense they are. I could live with that, instead of one episode a week/year 🥲
This has been Fantastic for a Live Adaptation for this series which seems to be mostly the East Blue Saga mixed with the “ Diary of Koby-meppo” & “Buggy’s Crew Adventure Chronicles” Cover stories, & shortly after this Season was over Oda himself using a Transponder Snail that they made for him announces that Season 2 will Begin
- Here are some Easter Eggs in this episode
- The Marine base we see might be Brach 16 which Nezumi (which means “Rat” or “Mouse”) is in control of
- Notice on Usopp’s ketchup bottle it says “Boshi” which means Star which is what his attack names are called & it says that it was made in Syrup Village
- Luffy brakes Arlong’s weapon the Kiribachi / Shark Saw just like in the manga / anime, but when he bent it just like how he did with Arlong’s nose
- While Zoro & Sanji are fighting & arguing you can see an octopus statue next to a tree this is maybe a reference to Hachi
- After Sanji kicked Kuroobi into the bar you can see various tiki figures that are maybe inspired by One Piece character designs
- During the party you can see them drinking tangerine wine made locally & the the food Sanji is making maybe a recipe from his official Cook Book which Nojiko references
- Nami after the fight with Arlong is wearing an outfit based on the one she wore on the color spread of Ch.107
- On Garp’s hand when he punches Luffy you can see a ring with the Marine symbol
- The song as Nami leaves her mother’s grave & the ending is called “My Sails are Set” featuring Aurora
- Like the new papers in the manga & anime the live action continues where Oda puts some information in them with this one referencing the island of Vira was taken over by the Revolutionary Army along with is logo which was first mention in Ch.96 / Ep.45, but as for the ads these are real
- Notice next to Luffy’s poster in the Baratie is next to cards referencing Nojiko’s Tangerines, Sandra Lizard a species from Alabasta, & the mizumizu meat from Water 7 while on the left references recipes for a Tomahawk Spiny Lobster from Shokugeki No Sanji Ch.1
- When Buggy & Alvida meet you can see a Don Krieg wanted poster on the wall but it’s an earlier version & not the one we see in the episode he was introduced
- On the Going Merry there are boxes that say Galley La company even mentions Iceberg
- The barrel that the Straw Hats used to announce their dreams is the same one Luffy was in that being it is labeled with Gyoru the fishmonger from Windmill Village
- On the End Credit map you can see the Cozia Island the where Sanji escaped from the Germa
- Smoker you can see while he was looking at Luffy’s Wanted Poster he was stacking stones a hobby of his
Wow! These easter eggs are all so cool! Most of them I had not noticed before, thanks for the list!
Bringing up Hatchi, it really makes me wonder why they didn't include him and I wonder how they're gonna do Sabaody without him.
@@thedeafeningdunce well what I was informed is that they really wanted to put him into the live action but just it wasn’t in the budget, but I can see him appearing in Sabaody where they altered the story where he left before Arlong Park arc
@@thedeafeningdunceHachi would probably appear in the slave hunting scene. Since he isn't feuding with the strawfats, the rescue will be smooth.
@@thedeafeningdunceHachi was cut for budget/time constraints. He was part of the season until Netflix cut the final episode count from 10 to 8 episodes.
Hope Eric and friends, will eventually watch One Piece anime. You will all not regret it and you could've wished for a thousand more episodes once you've caught up.
The build-ups, characters, HEAVY LORE and WORLD BUILDING is what One Piece differs from other shounen. It's a Masterpiece!
I've never seen Rick smile so much!
Oda is planning a Redo of the One Piece Anime (with some filler cut out for pacing and undoing earlier scenes modified due to censorship issues back in the day) which will be great for new fans who are unsure about starting the longer original version. The Live Action has created new fans and new merchandising opportunities.
They plan to watch it
They chose the right actor to play a type of Brazilian. His vibe, combined with the anime style.
Garp is so damn strong. Also they didn't show it here but I love that blue aura around Garp when he dodges that first punch. If you know then you know. lol (spoilers past this point I guess. minor, please don't do huge spoilers)
there's no blue aura around garp in the live action lol I highly doubt we'll get to the point where Haki is introduced tbh.
@@darbs1832 at 25.30 in the episode you see for a faint second an aura around Garp. They have already introduced it with Shanks and the sea king. This explains why he was able to dodge and how his punches actually hurt luffy. People in the know already understand he is using it. It would make sense for the show to give a nod to it for later just like with Shanks.
@@darbs1832Nah, I absolutely think we'll get to that point. Marineford will probably be like Season 6, and I don't think Netflix will get rid of this anytime soon. They'll need something big for after Stranger Things, and this is gonna be that.
@@thedeafeningdunce I loved the OP Live Action but it doesn't even come close to the popularity of stranger things. Hell - it wasn't even top 3 for watchtime/viewership numbers last year for Netflix.
@@YukoValis literally watching the entire sequence on a 65” OLED - no blue aura bud. The reason they showed the shanks scene is because it’s an integral part of the story. The entire Garp plot line is a live action exclusive. By the time we’re told Garp is luffy’s grandpa in the manga/anime, the series had been running for almost a decade.
8:32 OMGGG .. So fu*king trueeeeeeee... Those who have watched one piece know this but you getting this point felt so good

I don't know why but I for some reason was waiting for Eric to say "I don't want to say good-bye but," -Rick "WE ARE!" *button*
Nooo, I don't want to end this journey with you 😭 It was so much fun. I really really looked forward to sundays to see your reactions and discussions 😭
What a great adaptation, which was unexpected considering the tone of the manga/anime but they really nailed it and I can’t wait for season 2 to see how they’ll do some things especially that dude named Tony if you know you know I don’t want to spoil anyone so.
also wondering how they're gonna portray the powers of logia users
I've been One Piece fan for about 15 years and can confirm this show was done so well! Props to the team, cast and Oda himself! I hope we will get the fourth-fifth season of this show cause W7 and EL is where I fell in love with One Piece once and for all!
Thank you for your One Piece live action reaction! Enjoyed and love them a lot!
i loved this show so much and i was so excited for you to react to it, glad you enjoyed it!! that last bit always makes me tear up, something about seeing luffy believe in people enough that it helps them want to continue to pursue their dreams is just so moving. excited for season 2, hopefully aaron and calvin join both of you in those reactions!
Thank you for checking this out.
I hope your all together for the anime remake
Welcome to One Piece. The reason why the Manga and Anime is also extremely successful is because this level of fun, growth, friendship, discover, and adventure is at EVERY STEP of the series. And now we're currently in the Final Saga, were all the mysteries will be revealed and all the dreams are achieved.
timed perfectly for the annual anime episode tomorrow.
maaan i wish there was a season 2 already bc i cannot wait to see great reactors like you see the absolute insanity that is the next big arc. its one of my all time favourites, and i cant wait to see how theyll tell that story!!! thanks for the reaction, im glad you like it ❤️✨
Eric, please react to the animated remake when it comes out!
many of the outfits the main cast wear were pulled right from the source material.
The part that makes the anime/manga so much better regarding the arlong arc is that Luffy had no idea who Arlong was - he just knew he was fucking with Nami so he busted through that front door and asked 'which one of you is arlong?'.
Chills.
I love how into the show Eric was
I can’t wait for season 2
The chair thing made me laugh SOO hard. Blindwave I love you.
Great Reaction! Cant wait for season 2
That "ooooooo back for seconds?" Is the most British thing I've ever heard
so happy u guys did this and so so happy u loved it... i myself cant stand actual anime i dont like the art style and how long an arc can take i would never watch 1000 episodes of anything lol but i love this story i love the condensed altered version and if it is good enough for rick its good enough for me cant wait for season 2
Thanks you for watching one piece❤
The casting for this show was just so good! I love that so many actors from so many different countries were chosen because it makes the world feel bigger (and makes it more accurate to the original). The actors' commitment to embpdying their roles, especially Taz (Sanji) to make sure it looks great in action shots, the choreography of the fight scenes, the live sets. It's all just so good when it could have been such a flop if mishandled! So glad theyve started filming Season 2.
I'm so happy that they made a good adaption where even for the viewers that hasn't seen one piece also enjoying it.
It's so good that they actually started to watch the anime
You know Erick if you don't gonna watch it for the channel you should read the manga or watch the anime in your own time, i can assure you that you will love it.
okay i am now starting my petition for Eric to start reading One Piece.
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of One Piece!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
2:53 Of course he did - he's a cook, his hands are his livelihood, he can't risk them getting injured by using them to fight
Part of me was sad when they made a new OST for the show early on but by the time I reached this episode I loved the new music and loved even more that they only used “We Are” twice, and at the 2 perfect moments no less.
Not just that, but in the first episode in the scene where Shanks stitches up Luffy’s eye, you can hear “Bink’s Sake” playing in the background.
I loved & hated that they played it because I love that song & Luffy also mentions that he first heard it from Shanks as a kid in the manga & anime & also hate that it made my eyes tear up because of the backstory tied to this song.
Eh the music was discount pirates of the Caribbean and they use We Are for about 5 seconds total
@@conormurphy4328 Except it’s actually fitting for One Piece.
@@Phanthief95 I wouldn’t say it is, it feels much more generic than the eclectic soundtrack of the anime.
Man, really wish you reacted to my sails are set at the end
I knew Rick was gonna cry ahahah!
If you go back and look, you will see that Zeff made Luffy 'Employee of the Month'.
One of Ussop's main traits is that he is a complete coward, but he still manages to overcome that cowardice and be brave to help his friends. The anime was better at showing that, in my opinion. While I understand the need to condense the story, a lot of Ussop's character development was left out of the live action.
I can't wait for MOARRRR episodes. 😭😭😭
Some Fishmen are bulletproof due to a combination of training and surviving underwater pressure but majority of the Arlong Pirates have been too lax for nearly a decade hence why Zoro and Sanji can take them down so easily due to their training. The villagers were watched constantly so they never could train or stock up on weapons, hence why they're unable to help.
I'am so happy and sad at the same time watching how Eric enjoys the live action. Of course I love that he likes it but at the same time I know that he never will know the true joy of watching One Piece.
I believe they said they will be watching the remake when it comes out, I think next year?
@@groyninThat would be awesome
Did you notice Zeff's board said 'Employee of the month?'

loved watching yalls reactions, and i know Rick is big hype for the teaser, one of my favorite characters. do we havea n update on how far in hte anime Rick has watched? i think he said Water 7?
Seeing Luffy pop off with Joy is sure a great thing to see, its we all are like Shanks, celebrating his graduation.
And the Barrel scene, a happy accident of kids versions in it..made it better than the Manga itself.
Now we wait for Season 2.
So many great arcs, so many new great characters, can't wait for Eric to meet them.
The White Hunter, the Cotton Candy Lover, the Demon Child, the Desert Princess, the Okama Kenpo, the Fire Fist, & Mr. 0 himself!
God, I hope they’re all cast well!
On to the Alabasta arc
Season 2 can't come soon enough!! What a fantastic surprise this series was.
No spoilers but I have a feeling y'all gonna love the character that was teased at the end.
Great reactions Eric & Rick.
Not only that, Season 2 is going to give us so many fan favorites!
I can’t wait to see the Demon Child in live action! She’s one of my favorites!
The real shame is knowing HOW MUCH The crew would Love One Piece and denying themselves from it. I read and watched all kind of crap. And as much as I Love other stuff...nothing quite...does it, as well as OP. Episode 1075 is a masterclass in story telling that nothing ever matched. 6 years + of narrative coming together like Magic.
yuyu hakusho is really damn good. It's uh... Rushed feeling?? Its really rushed and compacted because its 5 episodes. If they would have done like 10 or 15 episodes, it would have been fantastic.
Garp is such a good grandfather. He took it so easy on Luffy during that fight.
This show is solid. I hope next season the whole crew reacts to it.
This is just a taste of One Piece. Shows no matter what medium? It'll always be peak. Can't wait for season 2
I am really curious to see how they'll adapt the next few arcs in season 2. I doubt they can get through the next big one, but there are several smaller ones which lead into it including one with you-know-who. There's a short arc with a character who could be cut, but that's assuming we never get to an important character who doesn't appear for another 300 episodes of the anime. My hope is that they'll do the you-know-who story and somehow introduce a couple of "days of the week" characters then do the big arc in earnest for season 3.
I'm hoping Netflix increases the episode count to even 10 episodes so they can get through the end of Alabasta.
We do have a season 2 to look forward to.
Less than a month after OPLA premiered on Netflix, Oda took to CZcams to tell us that season 2 was happening.
I hope we get some announcements for Season 2 soon. Season 2 will be the season that makes or breaks the live action, as Season 2 will be covering the Alabasta saga, the saga where One Piece really hits its stride & introduces so many fan favorite characters.
Just wait until you meet the White Hunter, the Desert Princess, the Cotton Candy Lover, the Demon Child, the Fire Fist, the Okama Kenpo, & Mr. 0.
