Astarion actor reacts to Baldur's Gate 4 decision

- While speaking to RadioTimes.com on the red carpet at the BAFTA Games Awards, Astarion actor Newbon admitted that his role in Baldur’s Gate 3 has changed his life, with the game’s adoring community getting a big shout-out from the actor (who was nominated for Performer in a Leading Role at the awards).
As well as telling us his thoughts on the decision by the developers not to make Baldur's Gate 4, despite the third instalment's huge success, Newbon revealed that he has an upcoming project related to the Fallout universe.

I hope Larian hires all these actors again for their future projects. Just an amazing cast in general.
I mean they did hire Amelia Tyler (the narrator) again for bg3 after she had a prominent role in Divinity Original SIn 2 as Malady so it wouldn't be that crazy.
His jacket reminds me of the Spidersilk Armor (Minthara's armor). Very cool.

@@Camaraocompao did you skip on getting the Graceful Cloth in Act 1? The Spidersilk Armor definitely LOOKS better, especially on Astarion, but holy crap does the Graceful Cloth turn him into an absolute monster. 20 Dex with advantage on every attack!? Absolute demon!

I knew Fallout London was coming soon, but I had no idea Neil had gotten involved. So now I'm looking forward to that.
and Bethesda comes out of left field with the next gen update, that does basically nothing for PC, except break the mods and completely screw the Fallout London mod developers.

I was watching his latest playthrough and his friend Tom called that look "vampire pimp" and now, no matter HOW FINE he is, that's the only way to describe it. He's so wonderful, he cares so much about fans, gaming, his daughter... he's got a great sense of style, of humour...

I’m not gay, but damn he’s a gorgeous looking specimen. Turns out he appears to be a wonderful and authentic human being too. Larian hit the jack pot with all of these wonderful VA’s. A Game of Thrones level of talent and passion.

It's a full game/DLC mod on PC for Fallout 4.
man I was so sad when i was told Larian will not be making bg3 dlc or bg4. I;'m still very sad, but I totally understand their decision.
Can't wait to see their next game!
Honestly I'm kind of glad with the lack of DLC, not because it's not a phenomenal game but because DLC is so often used as a money churner for stuff that could easily be added to the game for free. Like, my favorite game is Dragon Age Inquisition but you can't even play the real ending without shelling out extra cash for Trespasser.
That means Larian will put out a banger that isn’t Baldurs Gate but we’ll still get something great from them so it’s all good to me
I would prefer if it would be other region in faerun, since there're so many regions except sword coast (everyone is kinda tired from baldurs gate at this point). However I'm gladlarian dipped out of hasbro and can focus on something that belongs to them completely, would be great if ir would be dos 3, but it seems like they're focused on entire new ip now

been following him since the detroit become human days and he's always been a sweetheart. i was a small artist doing fanart for the game at the time and a good portion of the cast, including neil, were incredibly sweet towards me all the time. when bg3 came out and turned out to be an awesome game i was so happy for him. glad to see him thriving

I got lucky to try a 2 hour Baldurs Gate 3 trial yesterday and I legit fell in love with it and got hooked instantly!! I’m not use to playing turn based games but BG3 made it so easy and fun. I just wish I wasn’t struggling rn if not I would’ve bought the game and put in hundreds of hours into it 😂😂😂 :(
Comparing him working on a character he doesn't like and walking away, ans Larian taking the decision to not make a dlc of bg4 is... interesting to me. Its kinda saying he knows they grew tired of this project (and I bet they did, for some many reasons) and want to work on something else

Detroit become Human was the first time Neil caught my attention, and BG 3 - well, BG 3 is BG 3.

There MAY be a bg4 it just won't be made by Larian, Bioware made the first two, wizards of the coast need to find another company like Larian if they want bg4 to get similar love to 3

I would not hold against any of the voice actors to reprise their roles in possible sequels even if they now longer are in Larian's hand. Think Larian would approve of that to because of their great work.
However would not mind to see all of the BG3 voice actors in new roles in any of Larians upcoming projects.

Oh well... to know real actors are involved is another good reason why I just can't wait to play Fallout London and, having made Fallout 4 several mods for myself, to honour those talented brit guys. Fallout London was delayed for the reasons we all well know _{dammit Bethesda... you want to kill us don't you?}_ but this DLC size mod which I would not surprised become an actual Bethesda official distribution literally by the way, deserves the hyped waiting!!!

I think choosing not to release extra content and charge people money for it seems very in character for Larian. I mean I have no problem buying dlc but I’m still somehow not surprised Larian made that decision. And while I agree that it would be nice to have another Baldur’s Gate game, I think Neil made a really good point about how you can’t really make a great game if your heart isn’t in it. And there’s also something great about ending the series on such a high note.
