My girlfriend, Ana. We’ve been together for almost 8 years since 2015 and she took her own life in March this year due to mental health struggles. Every days has been painful for me since then and it will likely continue to be so. When we lose someone we love, it’s easy to become buried by the weight. It can suffocate you - make us feel like the world has fallen apart and that there’s no way out.
When we’re in that darkness, we’re the most prone to making mistakes. This is where our defining choices are made; these are the moments that shape us into who we’re meant to become. We can either let it corrupt us, and push us deeper into our worst flaws, or we can find the integrity in ourselves to use it for something more. When we confront our tragedy - when we garner the strength to rise above, become better than we were before, and blossom into tomorrow, that’s when the goodness in all of us shines the brightest. Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world. The capacity for good rests within us all.
I hope you all enjoy the film. We put everything we had into it. 🤍🪷

How about you release the movie we have been waiting a long ass time
Here’s my main problem with this movie… if you’re gonna do a 2+ hour feature length fan film(which it never should’ve been), and you want us to rely on the tragedy of Gwen’s death to fuel the story, LET US GET TO KNOW THE CHARACTERS! The entire film relies on your preexisting knowledge of the main group of characters from the comics, it doesn’t do any of its own work to establish who they are as people. We get a handful of flashback scenes between Peter Mj Harry and Gwen before she dies and these are supposed to be the moments that get us invested in these people? That it’s supposedly the best time of their lives? I don’t know why these people like each other, they don’t even seem happy in these flashbacks. So how am I supposed to care when these people I don’t care about, are grieving over this nothing of a person for almost 2 HOURS.

I felt like this movie had a lot of areas where it could be improved, wider shots, less cuts in the action scenes, better mixing, etc. but it is very refreshing to see a Peter story rather than just a bunch of action with very little of anything else.
For someone as young as he is. And did most of the small stuff. It wasn’t bad in my opinion. I didn’t have the expectations of a 30 year old with experience and a million or more budget. For the experience Gavin has. I give him credit. I agree some parts were a little longer than I expected and the cgi using what looks to me real engine still wasn’t bad. He didnt have the means to actually race a car around New York or rain scenes in a studio.
@@bobbybigfoot1163exactly. For a amateur fan film? It’s fantastic in most of those aspects. Probably the best fan film I have ever seen. But as a 2 hour feature? That first scene with the horrible cgi car needed to be cut down like a mf, some of the wider shots of it driving was really bad but the closer shots from the back didn’t look bad at all, the wider full street view shots needed to be fewer. it took away from Spider-Man’s initial swing sequence because I was still sitting there like wow that was junk slop filth.

i can forgive the CGI because it’s a fan made film but the movie is bogged down by long sad convo after long sad convo and despite all the talking u don’t exactly feel like chemistry between the leads during these moments. it’s just endless sad music and endless sad scenes. a few flashbacks could’ve been completely cut out or retooled. i feel like spider-man could’ve just been convinced by a kid he was a hero rather than him having to talk to his mom and her giving him the same talk the kid could’ve. it would’ve been dumbed down of course but the kid could’ve just showed him the papers of all the peoples he’s saved after spider-man is feeling down on himself. and i think spider-man should’ve shown him his face rather than the kid asking to see it.

I think the film was amazing. It really shows that a hero, such as Spider-Man, is far from having a perfect life, and there's sacrifices and tragedy at almost every turn, in the words of Spider-Man 2099, "being Spider-Man is a sacrifice." It also sends a great message that you're stronger when you're together, and nobody, no matter what battle they might be fighting, has to fight alone. It was honestly heartwarming how Tim was a huge reason why Peter didn't give up. In the words of Stan Lee, "I guess one person *can* make a difference. Nuff said."

Honest review: while some scenes are too long and other could be cut entirely there is some good moments. I think trying to pad this out into a full movie did a disservice to the film, also some of the dialouge was a little too over dramatic. It should have primarily taken place in his meeting with timothy. Streamline the story. Start at the cemetery where mj gives him the letter, he goes home to find harry, cut down harrys walk of the city and get to spidey and his flashback on the bridge quicker, then seeing timothy remains mainly untouched, then you end things with him at the cemetary again then cut the the final swing. Much cleaner story. For a first film that kinda blew up into something massive this was not a bad first go. You have plenty to learn and grow still but you should be proud of this.
completely agreed with you
finally something constructive
yeah fair
Named fan film you expect what
This film is soooo boring to me
This is very underrated. I know about the drama behind the movie but we can't judge the movie for that, I think it is great , one of the best if not the best fan films
So glad that they released this amazing fan film
-10/10 I would rather watch ASM 2
Your work has reminded me of what’s most important to a spider man story, it’s not the action, it’s not the story itself, it’s the humanity of the characters that make a Spider-Man story come to life, thank you
What's the amazing part about this fan film is the cast's performances really did an amazing job potraying their characters.
Next time, try a
Scarlet Spider Movie.
The Scarlet Spider is an alias used by several fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most notably Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker, both of whom are genetic replicates of the superhero Spider-Man.
I'm not throwing hate at your fan-film. You guys did great as fans of Spider-Man, I'm just giving an idea for your next project.
Regarding the comments and IMDB ratings, I can honestly say NO ONE has ever read a spiderman book before period. The scene events transpire from the 1960s-70s, even though there are not really any 60s-70s vibes apart from the costumes. Just because I'm a huge spidey fan doesn't mean I have to give positive comments but this movie was absolutely AMAZING and kudos to the team putting this together. Thanks for making my Sunday enjoyable with something entertaining to watch.
I also need to add in that some scenes were emotional especially with Tim. Stan Lee would definitely be proud of what you have done and the way it was supposed to be done. Thank you.
As crazy as this sounds everything in my life is falling apart and i think i really needed this movie tonight thanks alot man
Pls have it come sooner! It’s releasing at 2am in UK! Was gonna do a watch with my family tonight 🙏🏻
You’re lucky, it released at 3 am here in Italy 😂

Honest critique of the film.
I think the cinematography and the use of assets is very good. The direction of the acting and the designs of the sets and background is stylish without being flashy. However, it suffers greatly from story bloat and an extended period of dragged out sadness.
As comic book fans, everyone knows that Gwen Stacy dies, but this story focuses on her death way too much, even for a grief related film. It's boring and depressive at points. The reverse order of events was artistic, but not enough to make up for the overall sluggish feeling of the whole thing.
A rework of the script before being put into production and showing Gwen first as her own person without any hint of her death in the context of the story would have been better, in my opinion. We had no reason to care about her in this context before we knew she was dead. As an isolated piece of media, it falls flat on its face with what it's trying to do.
She was essentially fridged as a character. And that's a disservice to the story.
You don't have to lie💀
@@TheChosenOne20059 ??I'm not though??
@@RicochetXD this movie was ass. Rather wear miles's adias suit for a whole gameplay then watch this
@@TheChosenOne20059 You're welcome to that opinion. I did include my own criticisms with the film. But I'm not comparing it to a big studio since this is an indie fan film and it would be unfair to do so. But please respect my opinion as well.
@@RicochetXD cope
This is by far my favorite Spiderman suit

It’s probably not the best use of my time reading through the comments sometimes I can’t help it.
I just want to encourage people to be respectful. You can think whatever you want of the movie but keeping critiques constructive goes a long way. At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to get better and make better art in the future.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch the film. I can attest to how hard everyone on the team worked on this thing and it means a lot. ❤

Dude, the score was amazing, im sad your amazing work was tarnished by this troubled production. But you came thru, big time. The references and nods using the musical phrases and motifs of past iterations of the arachnid's themes. Great job dude, hope you get to score more, bigger and better productions
This film seriously understands Spider-man better than any film put out by Sony or Marvel. Bravo to all the people who worked so hard on it. Hope you make another.
Uhm, spiderverse and the first two Toby and the Andrew films, oh spider man no way home, as well as spider man homecoming, across the spider verse, oh and the spider man ps4, miles morales and spider man 2 games
I realized the way I came off was mean and made me sound holier and like you're opion didn't matter, but I personally disagree, I don't like petter or spider man, tge movie is not for me I personally think its bad representation for the character as someone who is a fan of the comics and movies
Is that a joke💀

The best movie ever watched in my whole life
I was disappointed that the green goblin didn’t say: “I’m about to Goblin on deez nuts Spider-Man”. That line is the antithesis of the character. 😢
Really good movie. Loved how it focused on his struggles and how he impacts others instead of just having him fight all the time. Solid 8/10

How does it focus on his struggles? By being one note and sad all the time? It's the definition of pretentiousness.
This a fan made film why were some people hating this is hella impressive
The suit, sound design, and visual effects and the opening fight scene were all very impressive for a fan film
I'd agree but the opening fight scene had some loony toons acting whenever the 2 guys got webed and the 1 in tne middle looked around
The opening scene would have been perfect if it wasn’t for the bad camera movements
More Than Half of the budget went to that scene.
It's not just a fanfilm, its a masterpiece
@@mendanhasousaltd3313LMAO HELL NO!!! it's objectively KIND OF trash.
