  • An interview from the Titanic Channel where P.H. Nargeolet explains what happens if the submarine get's stuck at the bottom. In this particular case he was talking about the yellow submarine "Nautile", that was diving Titanic's wreck in the 90's mostly. Let's hope with current events, they will find all inhabitants of the missing sub alive and well.
Thank you / titanicprops for finding this video

I'm sad that this gentleman has died. Regarding the other passengers, I hope a reporter asks a "billionaire explorer" why taxpayers should bear the enormous cost of rescue efforts when billionaire "adventures" implode. If billionaires want the possibility of rescue when they take extreme risks, let them buy insurance in advance. How many starving people could have been fed, using all the government resources expended to rescue folks who knowingly, voluntarily, put themselves in such danger, purely for their own gratification?

Especially in that death trap of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, who scoffed at safety measures and fired an engineer for pointing out dangerous flaws. The plexiglass viewing window was only rated at 1300 meters but he kept that info from the passengers (Titanic is about 4000 meters deep, pressure there is insanely high). And the whole thing was controlled with a $30 third party WIRELESS game console controller that already had mixed reviews at best. Stockton Rush really played with the lives of others. While surrounding himself with yes-men (and many young yes-girls it seems).
