Decent guide to Noob Mining actually. There are many other coin and GPU specific apps, and configurations; many wallets containing more than 1 coin and with swapping ability to change from one coin to another. To explain it all would take a video too long for me to watch though ... Thanks

I mean when it says like 8 dollars per day, you're referring to 24 hours non--stop working of the system or it's an average portion of the day? it's simple do you believe bitcoin will be a staple in our industry. I personally think it'll be used along side the US dollar to keep inflation in check. therefor I believe it has a reason to be big. it is also unique in that it was a first.

I've made over $180 in a month with a 3060 mining ethereum with eth2miners it's abit harder to set up but it isn't hard (just changing a line of code) and it has a fee of 0.01% which is amazing then i just dump my profits into my trading wallet on binance. ofc i game aswell but it doesn't make sense to me to not be mining when im not gaming on my system, just keep all temps below 80°C.
Also it makes no sense to be mining btc on gpus, you get way better return with dedicated btc miners, ethereum is the way

Undervolt and power limit it. Do not just press "start mining". Mining isn't bad for GPU's if you keep it at a relatively low and stable temperature. I would mine on both of these cards.

@Gus Mej if you have Nvidia card it's super easy. Download nicehash miner, download msi afterburner, set the powerlimit to about 50-60%, overclock memory by about 900 and apply settings, start nicehash miner, go to benchmarks, set only one miner with dagger-hasimoto algo, and start mining. you can play with powerlimit and memory overclock to get a higher hash rate.
@Rolls Rolex 3060 is a different story. You need PCIe 3.0, clean installation of developer driver 470.05 and screen connected to it. Than yes. In my case 3060 at 66% powerlimit, core -502 and memory at +1000 it does 45MH at 111Watts. Go to "brandon coin" youtube channel for details. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER FROM SOME RANDOM WEBSITE!!!!

nope! Best bet is get your GPU on a Custom Loop Waterblock from EK with the Backplate! cause it's cools the memory too :)
So. Questions:
Is mining worth doing if you only mine say 8 hours per day? Also how big is the risk of damaging/shortening the life of your GPU?
I finally got a 3090 and was thinking mining could help recover the cost, but if it shortens the lifespan significantly, then it wouldn't be worth while.
Being real with you, mining with rtx grafic cards its not worth it, the daily mining with these will fry your components due to excessive heat

I think you are new to this so let me explain what's going on here. Mining is a process of extraction and mining bitcoin today is more than Gold or Silver as bitcoin is currently the game in finance.
You need to solve a puzzle when you're buying something with crypto currency in order for the transaction to take place. And miners solve that puzzle for a small cut.
I think bitcoin should be of the top coins. So far bitcoin has been doing well unlike other crypto currencies
Some people will be kicking themselves, in few years if they miss the opportunity to invest in crypto now

bitcoin isn't traceable until it gets sold for U.S. currency and sent into a bank acc, technically you could get around this buy using online accounts like cashapp, google pay, etc that don't report your information to the IRS but I've never tried this so idk for sure. Just pay your income taxes and you wont go to federal prison ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Can anybody suggest me if it would be a good idea to mine crypto when its price is low compared to what it is now. Then mining pool will be less, mine it and bear the cost of electricity and keep it for few years, until the hype returns and then I sell it. Mining when say it is around 3-5k dollars and selling it few years later at 25k+
