You can really sum most of your early game event issues up down to MTTH being annoying and refusing to trigger events. On that note, the loss of your coal province was due to the EXTREMELY rare event (it has a 5000 month MTTH) called "Mine Runs Dry" which switches the RGO away from Coal. If you sphered the Belgian Confederation then you could have completely dismantled it, but since most of the content surrounding the Second Arcadian War is somewhat vague and misleading you never got the opportunity to do so. Extra sad, because you could have cored the Caribbean if you managed to take out the Belgian Confederation. Arcadia is full of positioning bugs because the guy that set the provinces up did not do the positions. I really need to take some time and write down a list of provinces with incorrect positions. @@thedenuke9843 So I just looked at the War Analyzer and during the Great War. My side lost 5 million (mostly from my allies), and the other side lost 10.5 million. The largest Battles of the war were in the Scottish Highlands, one of which reached over 1 million losses for enemy side while I only lost 110k.
Slavers in our timeline got off easy. In the US at least. Sometimes when you've been stepping on a people this hard, and you slip up just enough. You get to see what revolution actually looks like.

The new update makes north america look a lot more interesting. Venice owning less of Florida makes more sense considering Venice is trapped in the Mediterranean Sea and can't really use its naval power as effectively as Spain or the dual monarchy to have larger colonies.
