Massive props to Spencer Lee for saying this and questing for the best. He MAY face obstacles from his own country, who will try their utmost to prevent US athletes from participating in the Russian Friendship Games, scheduled from September 15 to 29, 2024. I wouldn't be surprised to see a US ban on their own athletes. That's the despicable situation in the US today. Great wrestlers want to wrestle, and they want to wrestle the best. It's a disservice to Spencer Lee that Uguev is not allowed to compete in the Olympics. It's a huge disservice to Kyle Dake that Sidakov is not allowed to compete in the Olympics. It's a massive disservice to Kyle Snyder that Sadulaev is not allowed to compete in the Olympics. These American wrestlers should all do their utmost to win gold in the Olympics and then attend the Russian Friendship Games as a squad. Make a statement.
