You can easily put ac into it for under a grand ,not at Toyota dealership but some one who is a good mechanic at home can save you a ton of cash young man.
Sweet truck! Looks great and sounds great! Seems to move along pretty well in my opinion. Mine's an '88. Nearly 200,000 on the clock and doesn't burn oil. Doesn't leak, interior doesn't squeak or rattle. XtraCab Longbed so it has great cargo capacity. Barely a week goes by that I don't get comments or someone wanting to buy it! You gotta' love that truck! Great vid. Thank you!
Love these trucks. Bought a 1985 22R 4 speed 2 WD with 230,000k runs like new and I can park anywhere and it's so easy to work on. Love this little thing
Logan knows high revs in a 4 banger id good for it. I did hear a knocking when Logan red lined it maybe red lined it. So fun to drive. you feel more in touch with the rd.
nice truck ! a fan shroud would help you a bunch with running hot issues. I have a 93 22re 5 speed 4wd with 10.1 pistons and like you I have to run 93 octane which sucks but my motor was built by yota1 and pushing pretty close to 200 hp. I don't know what they did but that thing has plenty of power and so smooth. Its like driving a little sports car. I'm only getting about 14 mpg in town right now but fixing to put a Haltech ecu on it and hope that improves the mileage, You might put a broad band 02 sensor on yours and that would help you tune that carb to get some more hp out of it or at least better mpg
My uncle has an 82’ 4x4 that’s been sitting in his backyard & I’ve been eyeballing it for years. I’d like to know your cost breakdown. Also, great idea with the mirrors, haven’t seen that done for this generation
How big of a difference do you think the cold air intake makes on the sound/power of the truck? I have an early 90s toyota pickup with a v6 and wondering if its worth picking one up.
You have beautiful truck but im old school fart and I would have left the mirrors where they actually belong. But your a young kid ,it is what it is ,anyway take care of it ,don’t sell it because someone will want too buy it and people do not appreciate it the real value of a quality small truck ,they want everything for nothing.dont fall into that trap of bullshit .keep. It enjoy it . If you sell it get what you want for it .
Idk man, those drivers on the road must've been extremely slow because it seemed to be keeping up pretty good to me lol. I have a 93 Toyota with the 22RE with 306k miles on it. Still runs but I can't daily it, still learning how to drive the thing.
@@boostauto922 I had a minty fresh 22r in an 85 - it ran absolutely minty, the odometer stopped working at 300,000 kms who knows how many kms it had... it crunched second but holy shit it NEVER missed a beat and always started like a freight train

I daily drive my 1994 f-150 4x4 RCSB 5.0 5 speed. its bored out to a 331 and has intake, trick flow heads and cam swap. It has about 400hp and if I drive it slow shifting below 2300 I get 20mpg average. I love my shitty old truck and I love toyotas but refuse to pay what they ask for them these days. nice truck though brother!
I've had my 1983 Toyota 4 by 4 since it was new in July 1983. Paid $8295.00 for the deluxe. Middle model that year. Great truck!
Had my hilux ln106 for 25yrs still love it.
Probably worth like 20k if it’s stock and in really good condition
Anyone who I let drive my rig that doesn't follow my advice on how to treat it, loses that privilege for good. Immediately.
Yes sir
Ok kid
@@RingLeaderElon at 55 years old, I'm no kid, and dead serious. If you can't drive my truck reasonably, you don't drive it ever again.

You have good taste bro. Dope color scheme.
Very cool and that you're a do it yourselfer too. Only thing I wouldn't do is the mirrors, but from a 240Z makes it better. Roll on!
Thanks man, yea the mirrors aren’t for everyone but I wanted something smaller and more subtle and I like them a lot, appreciate the support man!
great trucks!!! I have an '88 and an '92 and both are beasts, best trucks ever made!!!

This is what my f250 with a manual straight six sounded like. Also super slow but climbed in 9 inches of snow in 1 st gear
Hell yea man, I would kill for a 90s f250
I have a 1st gen taco and would love to get one of those beauts. Sadly in Ontario, Canada they're 🦄
Don’t call your truck a POS man, that thing is a classic, what’s the mileage on the engine?
Like 1000 miles on the engine, just rebuilt it a few months ago
