There is nothing at all wrong with telling your kids NO once in awhile. It's okay for us parents to get away from the house once in awhile without kids lol
It's healthy to say no and also to do things as a couple even if it is just a few minutes alone at the supermarket. I was a solo foster Mum and I had a rule that if I was in the toilet they couldn't disturb me. Just those few minutes gave me a chance to count to ten and put a smile back on my face. I don't see way people would have an issue with them saying no.

I love seeing your family so close with the cousins having built-in best friends. Love seeing all the get together’s. My family was that way and then we all kinda split and went different directions last year so now it’s kinda lonely but I love watching the love and fun in your family does together
For future years you could look into getting wooden dowel rods at the craft store because a pack of those is going to be cheaper than buying new wooden spoons every time you run out of wooden spoons because they are holding up your Christmas toppers

Your new plant is actually a Thanksgiving cactus. You can tell by the little pointy things. A Christmas cactus doesn’t have the points. But it’s a beautiful, healthy looking plant. Just be sure not to over water it. I really got into the holidau\y cactus last year and have enjoyed it so much. Love you family.

The plant thing is so funny! As kids my sister and I both had our own flowers and mine was growing faster, so my sister tried to kill hers to make it taller and then cried when the tops came off.
Hearing them guess how late they would be made me laugh. 10 minutes after the agreed time for dinner and someone’s house is not late! I would consider that on time.
It's great to see you and dad go out places together without your kids, I know you both love them dearly, maybe what u need to do is have a Date night together on a weekend and let your kids defend for themselves with Dinner! love you guys so much! it's really Awesome to see your kids all get involved cooking and cleaning, I had to do chores when I was their age at 7 years old, it's called "Responsibility" and their doing an Awesome job

Taco Soup Recipe for ALL those asking. Adjust accordingly to family size. But Jared shared it in Mason's 13th birthday video 🙂 Taco soup recipe : Olive oil Chopped Garlic Diced Onion ground beef 4 packets taco seasoning Mix it all together until brown 4 cans Tomato sauce 3-4 cans of beans 3-4 cans of mixed vegetables 3-4 cans of whole corn 3-4 cans of potatoes More taco seasoning at the end then it's done. Tostitos chips as well 🙂 for nachos if you prefer or eat it like soup out for a bowl 🙂

Good for you for saying no sometimes. You don't have to justify your decision. Things go faster and cheaper without the kids. If you say yes 95% of the time, and 5% of the time you have to say no it's fine. And it's fine if it's the other way around too. You are wonderful parents. Your kids adore you, trust you, and are happy and safe.
