I did the same with Regice in sapphire. I struggled to catch normal ones before they struggled to death and randomly managed to reset for a shiny and catch it. On my friend's 300 in 1 game cartridge😒

My first shiny was a Litwick. I had this weird obsession with ringing the bell in the celestial tower and randomly found a shiny Litwick
my first shiny was in ORAS and it was a gloom that I found on rout 121 and I caught it with a luxury ball
My first shiny was a geodude I caught during the diamond/pearl walkthrough literally before my first gym but I knew I needed someone with a ds to get golem so I just left geodude in my box before I accidentally wonder traded it
And no I didn’t evolve it because the idea of having a decent rock type I couldn’t fully utilize mostly due to me rarely working with rock/ ground types due to not understanding the nuances of ev training/just learning beneficial natures (it was trash don’t remember which) and never saw another until I randomly saw a shiny buizel but it fled.
My first shiny was a shiny Larvitar from diglets cave, ultra sun
I was shocked because it was also... the first encounter I ever had when I stepped in, I panicked but remembered I have quick balls and named it shiny(how original), still have him until today
My firsy shiny was a male Nidoran in kanto safari zone and i fled...
My First Shiny:
On Pokemon Moon, I was messing around on Route 15, in the water on my Lapras, and what do I come across? A Shiny Pelipper! I was going to run from him, but when I saw that he was green and had sparkles around him, I totally decided against it. I was very excited, as he was my first Shiny on any of my Pokemon Games. I named him Sparkles and he still holds a special place in my heart as the first shiny I ever caught.

Well Pokerus is easily obtainable via trading, because it can be spread to other pokemon. So she may have just found it / got it in a trade and spread it to other pokemon. It is nearly statistically impossible to find a shiny with pokerus in the wild.

Its a virus that doubles the EV gains of a pokemon that has it. Look it up if you want to know more about it.
Hiraeth wild Pokémon can have Pokerus (very rarely) and when you catch/defeat the Pokemon, your party Pokemon May become infected.

That's the first shiny my brother ever got! When we were younger and playing diamond and Pearl, he caught his cresselia and i remember we couldn't figure out why it was blue and mine was pink, we thought it was a gender difference thing lol
Anyways, my cousin raided both our copies awhile ago and stole the cresselia (as well as my first ever shiny, a ponyta) so they're long gone. Good memories though

I was born in the Sinnoh generation. The first Pokemon game I got was Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs. The first PROPER Pokemon game I got was Pokemon Moon a few months after it came out (sometime in December). Never gotten a shiny Pokemon. EVER.

The only shinies I can remember hunting for are my Chansey in Let's Go Eevee and my Pheromosa in UM. The worst part is I actually failed my first Chansey encounter, lost my chain, and had to start from scratch. On the other hand, immediately after, a shiny Ryhorn popped up, which I did manage to catch.

@@thevideogamingkid pokerus is a transferrable virus. Meaning if a pokemon in your party has it the rest will contract it and be able to spread it.

My first shiny was a Linoone in Omega Ruby. I had been wanting a shiny Zigzagoon after I first learned about shinies. When I got him, I named him Bacon. This was and still is my most beloved shiny. I have lost the cartridge, but I won't stop looking for it.
Thx... Linoone's shiny is mostly overlooked, which is sort of sad, because the cream and orange go together amazingly well.

Okay, story time. Last year, I found my first shiny. I've been playing Pokemon since age five, and maybe I've just never noticed that the Pokemon were different, or just never encountered any. I was playing Alpha Sapphire, and found a shiny lvl.3 Wingull. But I FLIPPED out. I rubbed it in my brother's face for like an hour. Then, I learned about something called Wonder Trade. (See where this is going?) I figured it was like the GTS, and was like, hey, maybe I can get a cooler shiny for this Wingull. So, I decided to test out Wonder Trade for the first time with MY FIRST AND ONLY FREAKING SHINY. Guess what I received? GUESS. That's right. A FREAKING MAGIKARP. Level 5. I cried. I legitimately cried.

It's nice to look back on your old runs of Pokemon and see all of the things you achieved back then. Like getting shiny Pokemon, for example.
I remember my very first shiny ever was on my first playthrough of Pokemon X, just moments after getting my first set of Pokeballs. It was a random shiny Fletchling in the first route. I didn't even know shinies were a thing, but my brother did, and he could tell the Fletchling was shiny. He told me to catch it, so I did, and it stayed on my team for the whole playthrough. Now whenever I see a shiny Fletchling, it fills me with glee just remembering that shiny all those years ago.

You've accidentally found way more shinies than I ever did. My first shiny was a Geodude in Pokemon Silver. I don't remember if I knew exactly what a shiny was, but I remembered the red Gyarados' sparkles and noticed they were the same on the Geodude. To my luck..... it self destructed...
My second shiny encounter wasn't even in my own game, it was in my neighbor's Pokemon Sapphire and I was playing it. It was a Sableye. I think I killed it by accident.
Years later in my playthrough of Soul Silver, I came across a shiny Tentacool and a Rapidash, both different times, while leveling my team.
I decided to pick Emerald up again a couple of years ago and came across a shiny Whismur. Later in the game I SR'd for shiny Rayquaza and got it.
In my playthrough of X, I randomly found a shiny Foongus.
And most recently, in Omega Ruby, I shiny hunted for Swablu and eventually got it, naming it Nimbus after the cloud in Dragonball.
Nimbus is a name for a cloud type irl, so I guess that's where Goku's cloud's name came from.

The shiny I’ve owned through my plays of Pokémon are a Shiny Starly, which I named Melvin, a shiny Aron, which I named Welder, a shiny Ekans, which I named Slippery (which you can probably guess why), a shiny Krabby, named Mr Krab’s, and finally a shiny Numel, named Wednesday. I had a shiny Solrock (or what ever the sun Pokémon was called) but he got deleted after I let someone borrow my copy of Ruby.

And those 2 shinies were completely random and i wasnt even hunting for them, i was just training my team to level 100

I can remember all of the shinies that I have found that were completely random (except for one that I specifically hunted for): all 3 of these were found in Ruby; Shiny Gulpin, Shiny Zubat, and Shiny Wurmple which is what I hunted for, Shiny Tangela on HeartGold, and Shiny Electrike in a random horde on OmegaRuby.
My shiny's: ( no wondertrade/gts)
Shiny woobat: my first shiny. I found it in pokemon white. I was like 7 and I dindt now what was rare about is. Luckely a friend was next to me and said I had to caught it.
Shiny Houndoor: In pokemon Y I was running after a moltres but then I ran in to that beauty shiny.
Shiny zubat: In pokemon Sun I was hunting for an alola diglett for an livestream. And I found that shiny. I was really happy!
Hunted shiny's:
Shiny Grubbin: this is my first hunted shiny and it took me 113 SOS encounters.
Shiny rockruff: This shiny was one of my favorite. It took me 139 Sos encouters and Evolved it in the the day form.
Shiny sandyghast: this is the shiny that I wanted the most but It was a ghost type and dindt now how to get it but I tried it and it took me 683 SOS encounters.
Shiny Rufflet: This is a shiny that my sister wanted. I it took me 315 SoS emcoounters. But when I caucht it I dindt wanted to give it to her.
Shiny pikkipek: this one was random. I liked the shiny color and hunted it. Around 175 sos encounters (I dont now the excect encounter because I lost the paper where I rid it on).

I have a ton of shinies I didnt record that I may share in a future video including the final Kanto starter from 3rd gen SRs (Bulba). Major congrats on how much your channel has grown since then. My first shiny was a shiny Magcargo in Ultra Sun, my brother's first shiny was the Red Garodose, but since that shouldn't count because your SOPOST to battle it, his REAL first shiny was a shiny Sentret in the Safari Zone in Pokemon Heart Gold, too bad all three of these shinies are gone, my brother stole my Ultra Sun and made me own Ultra Moon, and since the game he caught the shiny garadose and Sentret used to belong to his friend that lended us the game, once he finally found out how to delete the Heart Gold save file, he restarted, but these are still shinies be both have yet to reclaim, easpeshilly the red Garodose

Shinies I have encountered:
First ever: Shiny Drowzee, in Soul Silver. I was training my newly caught Drowzee for my team, when suddenly a shiny Drowzee. I immideatly replaced the Drowzee that was on my team with the new shiny one.
Shiny Wailmer, in Pokemon Black. I was about to go fight Landorus, when suddenly shiny Wailmer.
Shiny Abra, in Soul Silver. Found in the safari zone... thing. It was timid too, so I actually EV trained it, and now it is a part of my competitive team.
Shiny Murkrow, in Diamond. My younger brother was playing my Pokemon Diamond in Eterna Forest, and he found a shiny Murkrow, and he gave me the game so I could catch it myself.
Shiny Fletchling, Pokemon X. I was playing through X for the first time, and a shiny Fletchling appeared when I was training my team for the first gym. Later on, my older brother took this shiny from me however.
Shiny Dwebble, Pokemon X. I was rock smashing, trying to find some fossils, when a Dwebble showed up, and it just so happened to be shiny.
Shiny Gogoat, Pokemon X. My first ever hunted shiny, I hunted for it in the Friend Safari, and it appeared within 50 encounters.
Shiny Relicanth, Pokemon X. My first chain fishing Shiny.
Another Shiny Relicanth, Pokemon X. Chain fishing is not fun for me when I get duplicate shinies from it. I sent this one to my friend.
Shiny Clauncher, Pokemon X. My last Chain fished shiny. And my second favourite shiny that I own.
Shiny Carbink, Pokemon Moon. I was training Mimikyu in Vast Poni Canyon, and Shiny Carbink showed up.

i was born when gen 3 was in the midst of coming out and my first game was a mystery dungeon game that i lost before i could even play it much, but then i got soulsilver as my ACTUAL first game when black 2 was about to come out so i skipped gen 5 for a long time. but i’ve been a fan of the games ever since 😋😋
Came across this a few days after I found my first shiny, which was actually also a Poliwag in SoulSilver! Though mine is now a lovely blue/purple Politoed. Can totally understand keeping the Poliwag though

You can only get pokerus by battling a non scripted wild pokemon. Catching a wild pokemon or obtaining one does not give you pokerus.

I remembered my first shiny in Pokemon X. I was just randomly going through the cave after Route 7 and just when I was about to leave the cave, I found a shiny whismur. It's still my first and only shiny to this day.
My first shiny in hoenn was my shiny treecko and then my second one was shiny wurmple i was so happy

I sincerely believe that shiny odds are increased on Zubat. Everyone seems to just wander onto at least five of them
my first ever shiny was an Oddish in Sapphire version, i remember being so confused as i had never seen one before despite having played Silver and Crystal multiple times over before picking up Sapphire

Those moments are worth crying over, try bringing a move like false swipe which leaves it with one hp, or put it to sleep or burn it if you dont have the false swipe

My first shiny was a Shroomish I found in Petalburg Woods in my Sapphire version. It was before I even encountered the Devon Researcher there.
I later found a shiny Zubat the same day on Dewford Island.
I later decided to restart my Sapphire version after I transferred my good Pokémon to my Heart Gold version, and encountered another shiny Zubat; this time in Meteor Falls.
I encountered a shiny shroomish when I was playing my Sapphire game, I came across it at Petalburg Woods quite early on. I thought it was a virus .... and ran away, in my defense I was 8 and didn't know any better.

I found a random shiny Haunter in Pokémon X in Frost Cavern. I was just training their and it randomly appeared, it's kinda funny it has a blue tongue since I found it in such a cold place

The fist ever shiny I found was in Pokemon alpha sapphire but I found it before I got pokèballs and I was so annoyed
My first shiny was a Bulbasaur in Let's Go Pikachu. I know it wasn't out when this video came out but I'm gonna tell this story anyways. I was in veridian forest, I haf just been leveling up my Pokémon with Chancey in cerulean cave. While walking through Viridian Forest and heard the cry, I liked seeing the starters in the wild, and low and behold, it was a shiny. My second one was a Chancey in Cerulean Cave, again while leveling up my Pokémon, since then I have gone on to claim many more shinys.
My first ever shiny was a Xatu on Alpha Sapphire I knew about shinies and before tried to go for some legendaries but gave up out of being impatient, I was going going to the small areas where you could find Pokémon and I was actually trying to avoid the grass because I never read about repels I guess, I was so shocked when I found her I just threw a bunch of Ultra Balls and caught her I named her Shiny I was planning on renaming her but never did, if I never found her I would have never started shiny hunting. She is of course my most prized shiny since she is my first and with that I appreciate how nice of a subtle shiny Xatu and Natu is.

I have hunted for a few shinies in the gen 6 and 7 games. My absolute first shiny was a mudbray in moon using sos chaining. After that I went on to chain fish a clauncher, as well as three goldeens and a few others on my x version. I also got a shiny gible in that game on accident while trying to breed one for competitive play. Even though I've found a few shinies using those methods, none of them really feel like it's my first shiny. I found an accidental 1/8192 shiny sneasel in heartgold while grinding for the Red fight, which actually has a lot more of that "first shiny feeling".
I caught a Shiny Oddish near Mt Pyre in Ruby, and evolved it to a Gloom. I think that was about two months ago (somewhere during January 2021).
And today, the 23rd birthday of a friend of mine (March 8th, 2021), I defeated Cynthia in Pearl by hitting her final Pokémon, Lucario, with a powerful Flamethrower from my Infernape! I got to explore the Snowpoint Temple for the first time, and I recognized Eterna Forest's music in there, one of my favorite DPPt songs! I also unlocked the Fight, Survival and Resort Areas since I beat Cynthia, and man, was I surprised to hear the Valor Lakefront music while running around in the Resort Area!
- As for the Shiny, I caught a Shiny Geodude in the Ruin Maniac's cave (you know, the one little cave side-area just beneath Veilstone City). Today (the same March 8th, 2021), that Shiny Geodude evolved into Shiny Graveler, when I finished a battle somewhere on Route 225.
