Wow, what a nice and positive podcast from Men! So refreshing to see black men having an uplifting conversation with a black woman đđŸ great topic and episode!
This needs waaaay more views! Too many negative platforms getting attention and convincing Black women that Black men donât love, protect, or respect us!
SIDE NOTE: Victoria's hair is SO beautifulllllllllllllllllllllll!
It goes perfect with her skin, right!? Iâve been wanting that color now for this summer đ
She has an absolutely beautiful singing voice
*speaking but both apply
I just love this womanâs vibe, voice, and songwriting! đ€đ€đ€
great episode! I loved Victoriaâs analogy with taking the street vs the freeway. I needed to hear that. Itâs so easy to feel pressured by a self-imposed timeline that you overlook the development & lessons that come while youâre putting in the work.
Aspiring artist and single mother here. Thank you for having Victoria Monet on here and asking her all these questions. Definitely doing music and having women like her and Kehlani crushing their careers while navigating motherhood has been super inspiring and motivating for me to keep doing what I love. Love you Victoria!!!! â€ïž
Sheâs gorgeous! So soft spoken with fantastic energy. Great episode!
Crazy how much I relate with Victoria with being vocally softer. Being talented would always push you to the forefront. Some (me) enjoy blending in & working within a group like a choir or background singer.
Watching this a year later and it still being extremely relevant is amazing. The way yâall navigated this conversation as a whole and the metamorphic transformation is all that we are trying to grow and change in our lives is relatable in the best way.
So well spoken, humble, and wise. Beautiful talent and soul!
Wow itâs really crazy how UNDERRATED!! This women is like .. she has this certain tone and voice thatâs incredible and I feel as if she needs more recognition from the society. One thing about Victoria is sheâs very ahead of her time and you know her talent should be well-known to say the least. This girl needs her cookies đđœđđœ because most of the songs thats out that has millions and billions of streams and views all because of this brilliant women right here. I really appreciate her music and the way she sets certain sounds , the mood and tone of it , her music is very different from this society today. I love how she has a old soul . Sheâs showing many people that soul hasnât died and itâs not going to. And her and the color BROWN wow! Because i love how much she cares for the color brown some people might think the color itâs just a âcolorâ but like she said the color has a deeper meaning to it every color does but it feels like home to her * if you guys didnât know the color brown is a mix of blue, orange, purple , green , red and yellow originally* so this color is somehow representing MonĂ©t because sheâs gives this bright and lovely personality but with a mix to it lol . I hope that one day she gets the attention and eyes that she deserves fr.
Not all Dominicans consider themselves black. However, as Jalon said the slave trade was there as well. Before the slave trade the native people were Taino, the same race of people who inhabited Puerto Rico. They are now distinct. The island of Hispaniola is made up of Dominicans and Haitians. So the population at large is majority descendants of Africa. Now Dominicans are considered to be Afro-Latino⊠heavy on the African decent mixed with Spanish (Spaniard) culture. As Spain came in and dominated DR. Yes, the race was mixed. Just like slave masters were getting it in with slaves and produced Mulatto or mixed people. Colorism is also an extreme issue in DR and accepting or acknowledging the African decent in which we are is mundane to a lot the people. If you consider the food of the island which is a Caribbean islands, most of our National dishes are of African culture, MangĂș, Mofongo/Bofongo, Platano (Plantain) and itâs very similar to African and other Caribbean food. My mothers family are what you consider âdarkâ Dominicans and although my mothers family speaks Spanish, they are black⊠thereâs little to NO integration there, and my grandmother will tell you. She is a black but the rest of them are in denial. How do you share an island with which once wasnât separated with Haitians but you not black? Youâll always get a mixed answer from Dominicans because most of them are unknowingly black and feel superior because of the color of their skin.
If you disagree God Bless. Itâs all love đ©đŽđșđž
The ones who get it.. get it and the ones who donât DONT.
I hope I donât start a riot.
Keep doin yâall thing! This is my favorite weekly watch! Love yâall and thanks for keeping me up on game! đ„đđ€
I was with yâall ( except Victoria, I get what she meant)until the Latino/Black debate You can be Black and Hispanic, You can be White and Hispanic , Indigenous and Hispanic , Mixed and Hispanic. Hispanic and Latino is an ethnicity not a race. Victoria is right when it comes to the N word. Thatâs why itâs all of the sudden itâs cool to be âAfro Latino.â Other than that I still enjoy the Podcast ,and Victoria is that girl. Been rocking with her since that feature with Nas on You Donât Understand đ€
For real! I hate when people mix ethnicity, nationality and race!
I agree but we not gone act like a lot of latinos don't go out of their way to disassociate themselves from blackness..."I no black, I Dominican" is literally a catch phrase used by a lot of people
Cardi identifies as a black woman⊠however she doesnât really come to mind when I think of black women. So I get what Victoria meant đ€·đœââïž.
I definitely understood why she said that.
Cardi doesnât identify herself as a black woman ! She has always said sheâs a Latina with African/black ancestors
Cardi didnât always identify as a black woman though. Remember she described her & Offsetâs relationship as âan interracial relationshipâ. So yeah, I def get where Vic is coming from.
@@Mel-go2pz Because she ainât Black. People get race, ethnicity, nationality, and ancestry all mixed up. I remember when she said that âinterracial relationshipâ comment, too.
@@SOULarLioness Right ?!! Like if you're only have one Black grandmother and everybody else is white or mixed, you're not Black ! It's not that hard to understand!
This was straight JUICE!!!!!! Thank you guys so much for never missing episode after episode!!!
Outstanding episode!! Yâallâs joy and your willingness to share with the world is such a blessing
YoooooâŠ. So many golden nuggets dropped in this episode. I wrote down so many points made here. Genuine souls in front of the cameras. Much love to you gentleman and what youâre doing for the culture. đ

I love her energy
I'm so glad I listened to the entire video definitely needed all the gems drop by everyone in this video. The part about transitioning was my favorite. Going through it at the moment; turning 30, heartbreak, at crossroads career wise. I feel like a Phoenix trying to rise from the ashes.
This episode is the one that put me on to Nice and Neat! One year later still watching y'all! đđŸ
Oh yâall hit this one on the head. Great job! I love Victoria Monet and the topics and questions were super relevant and enjoyable.

Her voice is angelic
This interview/episode was amazing! Victoria is so freaking talented, and I truly hope for her to achieve even more success and happiness. If that Victoria/Silk Sonic collab comes, itâd be amazing!đ
I LOVE this podcast. Grateful to have gone down the Chanel and Duke Rabbit hole because it landed me here. I have a newfound respect for Victoria. I always have supported her but this podcast let her share her journey and speak her mind. I love when she said I was preparing for this! It reminded me of her song âReadyâ! I love how hardworking and self directed she is & still remains so graceful. Thats SO inspiring. I always discuss with my friends how she is the perfect level of stardom. Authentic, genuine, raw talent, and paid! Forever a fan đ€
Loved this episode!!! Very great conversation, especially the end
I love seeing black excellence. This was a beautiful one âđŸ
Ohhhh this is a good a- positive show. Yaâll hit some major points and her chill energy gave it balance. I love me some Victoria Monet! Give her all the flowers!

This was so good and fun to watch ! Her voice is so sweet and soft !!! Definitely gonna tune in more to the channel đ«
I think itâs the âillusionâ access. I hear a lot of people say you can receive 100 DMâs but that doesnât mean you can actually connect and have anything meaningful. So itâs so important to connect to the real people in your life. Great episode as usual â€ïž
I'm really thankful for this interview đđŒ đ

Omg! I loved this episode! Victoria is such a beauty and as you guys stated âa creative artistâ â€ïž always love and look forward to Nice & Neat Thursdays!
Thank you!
Ă look her to this lady +how she entered thee game + Ăź actually admire thee same influences being soft spoken with thee power of words + thee beauty of art! Yess! Prince was always ahead of his time sonically + Ăź agree authenticity will always align life. Lauryn Hill is a prime example of a mother in music + it's actually so necessary for that type of influence in music period. Women are teachers even wiser with mothers. And Ăź just got to the part about Lauryn Hill as Ă was typing this. I absolutely thought of her setting that precedent. Moon energy most definitely just brings out thee creativity those unseen vibes mĂ· as an artist definitely look for too.
This was dope, thanks for the video/podcast
Great interview. I love herrrrr
Best interview ever! She is wise.

I vibe with Victoria so much, I feel like we'd be besties if I knew her
With the Cardi thing. Dominican is an ethnicity not a race, so sheâs Hispanic but that donât mean sheâs blackđđđ€
I loved this episode!
Had me taking notes at the end đ
This was excellent
Moving without paralysis đđđđŸđđŸ
Had to get on my other channel and give this a thimbs up cause yeah!
I liked this podcast right from the beginning
I had to search for this video lol itâs in the playlist tab not on your channel!
Love. Love. Your podcast. Always looking forward to listen your perspective on things. I was wondering though, how come the sound is coming through super quiet because my volume is on the max and I can't hear. But when the ads come on, it scares the living creature out of me. I noticed this was the same with other vids too. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
FIRE ASS EPISODE đ„
This was amazing:)) just one thing! The audio was really quiet and i struggled to hear all of what was said in my car. May be different with headphones but just to keep in mind:)
She looks like she could be Meaganâs sister! They favor a lot.â€
LMFAOOOOO the cardi meg moment took me outttt
I feel like Dominicans consider themselves as black when itâs beneficial. đ€·đŸââïž
She is beautiful yuuuuuuuh!
44:14-44:33 that analogy was fire S/O 2 Queen V
The head bobs at the beginning need to be a gif đ
This was exactly what I needed đ€
Some Dominicans only consider themselves black when its convenient (like when using the N-word). There's alot that do NOT consider themselves as such (IE: Cyn Santana- speaking on black men preferring her over black women)
