    #1 Zeltini Z-TRITON: zeltini.com/en/product/z-triton/
Riding an electric bicycle, camping outdoors or boating sound like fun ideas for weekend adventures, but what if you could combine all of these activities in a single trip and a single vehicle? Meet Z-Triton - the amphibious houseboat-trike created by the Latvian design studio Zeltini.
    #2 Scamp 13: scamptrailers.com/showroom/13-standard-trailers
The lightest 1,500 pounds Scamp 13-footer is a perfect choice for couples or small families, though going for a 4-person layout with a front dinette that converts into bunk beds, would mean sacrificing a bathroom.
    #3 Hitch Hotel Traveler: startengine.com/hitch-hotel
The first Hitch Hotel was a wheel-less expandable camper that could be mounted on the vehicle’s hitch for transportation. With this new model, the California startup is entering a more traditional, travel trailer segment by equipping the original build with a set of 10-inch wheels.
    #4 Tiny Camper Mini: tinycamper.eu/
Though named Mini, this European teardrop delivers everything your family may need during short and long trips. The model is made of natural Baltic birch wood, featuring large entry doors with fixed round windows on both sides and skylight on the roof.
    #5 Tentrax: tentrax.com
This is one of those trailers that is responsible for the new definition in the vocabulary of a camping enthusiast - the micro camper. The basic element for Tentrax models is a fiberglass tub on wheels that weighs 450 to 600 pounds dry.
    #6 nuCamp TAB 320: nucamprv.com/tab-camper/
Once known as the Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailers, NuCamp is a company from Sugarcreek, Ohio, that manufactures high-end trailers and truck-bed campers. The TAB 320, also called the TAB S, is the company’s oldest teardrop model in production, that takes advantage of this compact body style but packs it with plenty of amenities.
    #7 Barefoot Caravans: go-barefoot.co.uk/gallery/inside
Barefoot Caravans is a small egg-shaped trailer from Britain, that will be arriving to US in late 2020. It has a custom designed interior that has been configured specifically to fit into its unusual curvy shape without losing usable space.
    #8 HAAKS Opperland: haaks.camp/haaks-campers/
If you want to feel at home wherever you go, there is nothing easier. Introducing the Opperland RV - a two-story house mounted on top of Fiat Ducato chassis. Designed by the Dutch Haaks Campers, the model can be used both on top of the truck or on the ground, thanks to its hydraulic stabilizing jacks that hide inside the wooden body.
    #9 Go-Pods by 2berthcaravan: go-pods.co.uk/home.html
The GoPods are dominating the market of small fiberglass-shell trailers in the UK. The company sells 3 models: Standard, Plus, and Platinum. The lower spec weighs from 1,650 lbs and features an okay package of amenities.

Not sure about other parts of the world, but in most parts of the EU a toilet would be enough. Every campsite here has showers, and 1-2 times per day it’s ok to walk ~1 km from the camper to the shower building. It‘s just too much walking if you need to do it every time you want to pee…

I hear ya! As a life long tent camper I find alot of this suff ridiculous. As if these folks have never slept in a tent and are afraid of the outdoors or dirt. There is this need to replicate home as much as possible. Running water into a sink with drain and a grey water holding tank for instance. Have they never just poured water from a jug into a dishpan from Dollar Store?

    • @carolhewett3756
      @carolhewett3756 Před 3 lety +2

@J Calhoun I've camped in a tent in the snow and I agree it's hard but so very, very beautiful.. It depends if you're camping as a lifestyle where you are actually living that way day after day and facing all kinds of inclement weather versus what I did. I camped for vacations during good weather with a few surprises now and then. I stopped tent camping in established parks with restrooms because they became dominated by RV vehicles where I had to listen to generators and TV sets all day and night. So i tried real hardcore primitive tent camping which got to be too much as I aged. My last camp trip was on the San Juan Islands in fog hoping for some whales but content to just see and hear the sea lions. It was a challenge to keep the fire going in the fine drizzle to cook those fabulous oysters so we just ate them raw and got a B&B for the next night. Ha! Hot running water!

@@MustSeeTech due to the short autonomy you have. If you cannot wash your body how many days can you last away from home? A teardrop trailer typically is designed for a weekend trip. If you want to travel you need to book an accomodation so the teardrop-like caravan becomes useless. There are caravans even very small they have a full toilet within allowing you to spend all your holidays travelling; in my humble opinion better buying a slightly longer trailer with a bathroom, the price can be the same. Must See Tech, of the 9 units shown only a few, #2, #4 and #9 seem practical. The other units are overly expensive - as you’ve indicated, and existing standard models (pre-owned) would simply get you more of everything for you hard earned money.
