What I always love every time Ren and Chinchilla collaborate is that they compliment eachother so well... Its not a battle of the voices. When a male and female vocalist duet, a female singing voice can be so powerful that it can drown out the male vocalist... Not with these two gems -or should i say MF Diamonds!!!
Ive listened to their music for 3 or 4 yars now and every new release is an instant classic... And I regularly go to Brighton and all my 7 year old son and 3 year old daughter every want to do is go and look for Ren busking!!! 🥰

I love the For Joe videos of them as teens.. they look so happy. It’s so hard to watch knowing he’s gone. He had so much life ahead of him.

This is such a bittersweet song. Tender and brutal. It should be a huge hit.

There are thousands of artists that subjectively we genuinely believe are the new 'it', but just like thinking you've found true love, or that perfect cup of coffee, it's not until you *really* find it that you know it, and know what you've been missing all those years. Ren *is* the artist equivalent of 'it'.
Ren lost his closest childhood friend to suicide. In his true alchemist ways he turned all the pain, grief, heart ache and guilt into pure beauty. He. Is. Magic.
Ren and Chinchilla are like chocolate and peanut butter. Both are great alone, together they're AMAZING!
Ren said in some of his busking and outdoor video's, to balance the sound for ambient and crowd noise he sometimes had to go note by note for each microphone, each instrument. He is so dedicated in production to make the sound right. Sometimes I think everyone gets so lost in the music they forget how amazing he is at production too.
May be because everyone is a listener, but not everyone is a producer.

The current album project is supposed to be all singing. Everyone is expecting more collaborations with Chinchilla as well as rising star Ruby J. Check her channel out. She's amazing too.

Definitely about the suic*de of his childhood friend Joe. He jumped off the Menai Bridge in Wales in a sudden act where Ren couldn't get to him in time.
Now you're here you need to follow it up with the song Suic!de and For Joe, in that order if you can. You'll see why after. They are emotional tracks but so brilliant that you should not avoid them if you can. In fact you will appreciate the production side of things in Suic!de.

They are magic together for sure and Ren is so special. I have been on this journey with his music over a year now and it still moves me every single time. RIP Joe Hughes. When you get to the songs regarding Joe .. go with Freckled Angels, Suicide, and then For Joe. Beautiful and moving songs.

It is about bereavement, and it is about his friend Joe, who was on a bridge late at night.
I think they are performing on that bridge or it's there in the background. I think probably in the background because it would be almost impossible to record on a bridge without shutting it down.

You can tell in everything that Ren does he absolutely feels every word that he says whether it be anger, hatred love whatever and that’s what makes him special chinchilla. It’s just a kick ass vocalist who cares a lot too. Both amazing people.
But like he has a song, Masochist, where he’s just saying, basically fuck everyone and kill. Everyone and people were bothered by that, but it was when he was in the pits of frustration about his illness and had been suffering for decades, so I get it.

I’ve read that this video was actually filmed on the bridge that his friend Joe jumped from??? I’ve also heard this was shot the same day/night as they did “Chalk Outlines”. Chinchilla still has the same white outfit on. She had never seen/heard the song before. Ren told her what he was going for with the song and this was the final outcome
