No hate. The video takes time and you’re entitled to an opinion but you have to understand that Dana gate kept Demetrius from what he could have been in the ufc based on how humble the guy is and the lack of “ sales generated “ by him.
As a fighter, Demetrius is high calibre.

this is my opinion
Everyone who says flyweight wasn't stacked when DJ was champ don't realise how good some of his opponents were. Barely anyone brings up people like Kyoji Horiguchi who was a legendary flyweight was 6-0 in the UFC until he got dominated by DJ. I absolutely agree that his highlight reel is not very stacked but his resume is more impressive to me than Jon because Jon only really has success against middlleweight sized fighters.
Definitely a pretty casual take since he's skill for skill top 3 minimum and saying Khabib has a more impressive record when he only had submissions against strikers is harsh. But yeah DJ didn't fight bums, he just made them look like bums. Henry would be considered garbage if he hadn't gotten a little lucky with the decision in the second fight despite being a very skilled fighter. DJ was so good that it actually hurt his career.

Good takes but i don't really understand the PPVs.
Like if we base it on PPVs Conor would be the GOAT.
Popularity shouldn't be a factor.
Zang Weili is more skilled than half of the HW division combined yet she has half the fame.
But DJ in fact has a lesser resume than Jon or GSP ect many others DC beat guys like Gustaffson Stipe Rumble twice very dangerous guys.
But what saves him is that
1 he is well rounded unlike someone like Khabib who only entertains striking couse the fight starts on the feet.
2 he went to ONE FC and still does good work, so he us at the top for a long time in diferent promotions even.
But the fact that he only has a handful of elite guys under his belt knocks him back still.
Couse at a lighter weight there is basicly no threat of the opponent putting you away, at a higher weight class you can be the most skilled and a bum can still finish you, it happened with GSP for example.
I would say:
1.Jones (best resume in MMA, 2 division champ, has basicly 0 KO power so he had to rely on pure skills and being perfect for 25, minutes against very skilled guys who can also KO anyone with any strike. Also youngest champ, barely had any MMA backround before joined the UFC it was a quick start and basicly fought his entire MMA career at the highest levels, plus he is also a complete fighter who basicly got every single move in his arsenal as a 205er and we see guys at heavier weight classes usually don't present the skills he has)
2. GSP, second most title wins beat the guys who beat him only has 2 losses, double champ altho Bisping isn't the best champ you can beat to be double champ but still. Very well rounded, great skillset overall just like Jon but i think Jon has a few extra moves GSP doesn't have or didn't used. You don't see GSP throwing flying knees axe kicks having that devastating GNP or submission game.
But he is athletic still has a ton of great skills.
3 Silva, sure he doesn't have the best competition at 185 but still beat some great names and he was getting finishes a bunch at the highest level of the division left and right, altho he had some shit performances and getting KOd and going on a losing streak at an old age doesn't help.
Still has some of the most legendary performances and moments.
4 José Aldo-Volk can't really decide José has more title defences and went to 135 and had succes but he was losing to basicly every 145 champ aside Ilia but basicly only got finished or beaten one sidedly by high level guys and champs.
Had great skillset, GOATed Takedown defence, fast striking good power fucking brutal leg kicks some tough wars like Chad Mendes fight is like one of the best fight ever (you don't see that from DJ tho couse 125 can't offer him fighters who can bring that out of him)
And Volk basicly ruled 145 beat Max and José nearly beat Islam as well.
Sure he lost twice by KO but being 5'6 is easy to eat a headkick from a giant and we all knew stylewise he can't win on short notice (lesser cardio size power preparation can't win by sub as well) so it wasn't a suprise Islam won.
And José also got highlight reeled by Conor and Max too. And Volk was jumping back too soon against Ilia who stylewise also a very hard fight for him. If Volk was born with a better chin he would have won tho couse he was winning that shit until he wasn't quite easily.
5. DC bro started late and still wrecked guys in 3 diferent weight class won 2 belts literally only lost to 2 of the GOATs and gave them a run for their money every time regardless.
Also he was short as fuck for a HW and still beat a ton of great fighters took out the 205 boogeyman and shit.
5. Max, can't decide between him and DC he beat so many guys put on crazy performances like last time or the Kattar one or Ortega ect. And he is still going has the potential to further grow his legacy. Bro is an icon with amazing stirking.
Crazy pace crazy highlight moments, and not just a few but basicly every Holloway fight is either a win over a top fighter or a title win or a brutal KO or a tough fight but he losses (only exception is like his very early losses and his third Volk fight).

Real number 7 Stipe, bro beat nearly every single elite HW there ever was, Overeem JDS DC Francis..... Like people really don't value the fact that HW fight can end in a split second so easily, that's why noone there was able to get more then a few defences couse they got slept.
So to fight the elite guys at HW who can KO you any moment and also have the skills to do so and you still beat them (most of the time looking at the DC KO and the Francis one) is crazy.
Then there are guys like Izzy Usman Khabib TJ Henry Cruz Conor Olivera Dustin Islam is getting up there nicely.
They are on simular level.
Each need just that 1 extra thing that will put them up there with the truly elite guys
Let it be a well rounded skillset (Looking at Izzy's shit offencive and basic defencive wrestling right here) or that Khabib reitred early and wasn't facing high level competition for too long.
The 135ers can't have a clear GOAT in their divison for fucks sake. Aljo is definitely not the one fluked his whole reign and got beat by the first high level fighter who is same size as him and not an old midget from 125, has both of his arms instead of 1 healty shoulder, and doesn't throw illegal knees to get DQed.
TJ and Cruz both have a weird but effective style some title wins but later on they eat some tough losses and didn't had a clear "now i'm the 135 GOAT" thing with them.
And the list goes on with these guys.
Henry and Conor altho had some crazy performances and 2 belts they lack the numbers and the reign at the top and some tough losses.
I don't include womens divisions couse they are women, and also the old guard like how the fuck can you say Chuck is the GOAT? Or these guys.
Or fucking Tito Ortiz.
Like these guys legends no doubt obviously they grew the sport to a new level and at the time they were the best but they are not in the modern age.
It's like saying the fastest car from the 1980s is the fastest car of all time couse at the time they were the best and the other cars would not be where they are today if it wasn't for them.
So only the modern fighters matter (male fighters) when it comes to MMA GOATs and the guys inside the UFC couse that's the best place to compete at the highest level.
