Gras Rifle Bolt Disassembly and Reassembly

  • A brief instructional video showing how to disassemble and reassemble the bolt for a Gras infantry rifle or Gras carbine. This is for cleaning, maintenance, and safety so all parts can be properly inspected. The field strip for this French rifle will require the use of a screwdriver and a block of wood or other object that you don't mind marring.

      I intend to make more of these, but I also legitimately did not see one that's just disassembling the bolt. I was surprised by that.

    Mine have a hole in stock, is that for taking the bolt apart like K98’s and such?

      French rifles had a “roundel” or small piece of a different type of wood in their stocks. This piece likely just fell out. I thought the same thing at first because one of my Gras from Ethiopia is the same as yours.
