Tyr being rated the "most skilled" warrior just speaks volumes to why most of the smite community has no clue what they are talking about
I was really surprised that Tyr of all gods was at the top. I'm biased af here, bcs I absolutely hate playing against him, but, like, c'mon.
what warrior would you personally put above tyr?
I do agree that hes way WAY too high up. Between his free prots, 3 fucking mobility tools, one of the best tank passives in the game and cc out the fucking wazoo he has essentially infinite mistake allowance, even more so then wukong id say. Cause at least the monkey fuck has to sit down for 2.4 seconds when ymir breathes in his face
warriors that i myself found more skillful then tyr are Arthur, Osiris, Cu Cu and Achilles
@@hartmann4710 I agree with Arthur, Cu Chu and Achi needing more skill to play well, but I wouldn't put Osiris up there. It would be something like Horus, maybe, since you need to balance supporting and being aggressive, and you basically don't have an ult in pubs.
It's because us tyr players think we're geniuses. But in all seriousness tyr is a god with a pretty low skill floor, you can do okay just pushing buttons but a reasonably high skill ceiling that is really rewarding of skillful positioning and timing. Buttons easy, functions hard
i read this comment before watching the video and have lost interest in the video you right Tyr being listed as most skilled warrior does speak volumes and those below arguing how king Arthur also takes skill aren't helping
The thing about Yemoja is that it’s not just you who needs skill, but your teammates do too. You can provide them with MULTIPLE rings for escape or engagement yet they will just avoid them instead. They should play tight often for her mending waters, but they spread out too far. And then they forget they can walk through her Ult too

Kaldr has a very solid passive that can help him in a pinch. Overall, I don't think he takes that much skill. Same with Argus, he and his passive have enough cc and damage to deal with most threats.

It's not surprising to see Ullr that high, but IMO people overrate him. Ullr's skill level is just mechanical, the amount of decision-making that needs to be done with his kit is about 3% that of any other god in the top 10 lol. A lot of the other top gods are there because of the combination of mechanical skill and brainplay-skill, Yemoja with all the decisions around omi management and so on ofc being the absolute peak of that. Ullr deserves to be considered mechanically skilled but there are plenty of other gods that are reasonably mechanically skilled 'and' leave Ullr in the dirt in terms of decision-making and kit awareness.
Yeah once you learn the axe-double bow shot combo that’s basically it for aggressive options on ullr, i don’t play him bc i find it boring not bc i cant learn that combo even on console its easy if you just lab for 5 min
Basically, if you can hit the Axe stun, you can play Ullr.
Yah I legit think anhur is a lot skill intensive.
Heim, anhur, and hou yi are all more skill expressive and intensive gods and I used to be a ullr main.
@@nonomen6665 his axe is easier than baron ramp to root which i find to be an easy ability to hit. in my opinion if you can land that 80 unit snipe more than half the time you can play ullr at close to max efficiency, if you have proper game knowledge as well
I don't know i feel like the best player in the world when i one shot people with kuku.
He's where he is simply for for fact that 90% of your game play is literally just drop a 'nado and leave. Occasionally you can might hit the slow for extra effect and a poly proc or leave faster woth his movement stim but frankly it's not that necessary. The tornados alone are ridiculous since even just barely touching it once will take like 1/3 to 1/2 of tour health in follow up ticks in you're squishy. The skill level of the Ult is kinda higher I guess but it comes down to practice and prediction or waiting for set-up.
People play like that? I use the nados for pure area denial and lane clear? I’m a kuku main and I assumed he was ranked so low because of his crazy damage lol
This video made me realise that I have a completely different perspective on which gods are hard/easy compared to the rest of the community

oh most skilled for sure, sometimes you gotta pause when rolling your fingers over the keys to rest and that can leave an opening
Probably about 1/3rd of responders would've thought of him as very hard, another 1/3rd as braindead easy, and then the final 1/3rd at varying points in between.
Meh king arthurs pretty simple just press ability thats not on cooldown, and be ontop of the enemy your targeting, obviously theres a order for cc chaining but you have so much youll figure it out pretty easily
He kind of sits at an average point considering Vamana as lowest
Oh yeah, it’s so hard to spam abilities consistently. That’s such a hard thing to do if anything king Arthur is one of the most brain dead warriors to begin with
There's 2 things to take account for when measuring the "Skill" of a god, Skill Floor and Skill Ceiling. Take Agni for example, his skill floor is relatively low all things considered, but his skill ceiling is incredibly high.
I'd be interested to see how the perception of skill level of god changes between ranks.
Also feel like majority were just going off how the kit is to use in a vacuum, not to play them in an actual game. Kukulkan is probably the best example; his kit is easy to understand and land (save ult maybe) which is why many rated him low, but his lack of traditional escape and CC immunity means needing to position carefully to not get caught out.

Like, IMO, the easiest mage to play would probaly be something like Scylla or Disco. Both have 2 spammable abilities, both have an escape and both have ults that are pretty easy to understand. If you can hit circles, wich people tend to be able to, you can deal damage as both Scylla and kuku, but if we throw in stuff like positioning and ability to fight back vs dive, scylla suddenly looks much more noob friendly
and yea, th skill level thing could be curious aswell. Thats probaly where the Kuku votes come from even: if the enemy doesnt dive well, Kuku is easy as balls, but once you got to worry about a sentient warrior and/ or assassin, things get pretty tough without instant mobility
Out of all the mages I expected Hades to be the easiest. His lane phase is extremely safe and full clears very early in the game, all his abilities are just circles as well, no skill shots, on top of doing lots of damage.

@@unbiddenisland i agree on laning phase hades, but against any sorta competent enemys, positioning and actually contributing in teamfights besides pressing 4 and getting obliterated is not very easy

Yeah I’m a Kuku main and he can be pretty damn fragile, like you can just walk up and spam nado, you have to spam nado from a distance! Lol
ullr just has mechanical difficulty, i think if you're naturally mechanically gifted he should be that hard. for me, i personally think Ullr and Rama are quite difficult, so I'd rate them higher than the average god. but i also recognise that, in theory, they dont really have that many difficult components going on

Am I missing something, because I thought that AA Kuang was just something brought out in casuals to pubstomp. Unless something changed, ability Ao Kuang is better, and is more skill intensive than AA Ao.

Only issue with this kind if polling is when you get into the distinction of easiest to play vs easiest to be effective with. I know being effective with someone ends up being more of a balancing and skill question. But its just as if not more important? For example, Nu Wa is at the bottom, probably because all she does is throw out her 2, blow them up, and spam ult, but that doesnt really mean shes doing much for her team if the 2 is getting side stepped, and if her ult isnt being used in the best of ways, like for info.

Trolls purposefully putting wrong numbers, rank of players - a bronze will see one thing way different than diamond or higher, interpreting the question as well - is it easiest/hardest to play mechanically, or macro?, easiest/hardest to win with if they're a low WR, E/H low skills ceiling vs high
So many factors
But the biggest surprise for me is still Tiamat being that low..not only 3 stance switcher, but a shit ton of unique abilities within the stances. Not like ullr where it's still basically the same, Tiamat has 8 pretty unique skills and targeters and weird mechanics.
I would put Merlin up there simply for the fact that he is so unsafe and you need to have intricate knowledge of his entire kit in order to deal damage properly. Sure you can just spam buttons and do a base minimum amount of dmg, but knowing the difference between the stances and having the situational awareness to know when to change stances and which stance to swap to...hopefully you see my point.

Most stance based gods also fall into a similar category, it’s essentially an additional kit to learn on top of knowing when to switch stances

shes among the safest gods in the game with literally 3 of her 5 abilities+ passive being used almost exclusively as peel tools with one of them just blatantly ignoring some of the strongest ccs in the game
As a Morrigan main, her skill level isn't just solely for her ult imo. Unlike most other mages who can just regurgitate damage from a safe range, Morrigan often needs to get dangerously close to deal her damage. Like how the player needs to be very careful with their use of their decoy, and know when's the right moment to strike, or they'll get easily farmed by the enemy jungler.
EDIT: I also want to point out that in comparison to Ao Kuang and Maman Brigitte, they are more reliable as magical "assassins" due to their basic attack capabilities. Making polynomicon a rush item if the player wants Morrigan to reach the same potential.
Honestly Morri’s ult is not even a major part of her difficulty at all, in my opinion. It’s the other things you listed, the fact that she has to be close to combo you and her escape requires planning to even use. She would still be a difficult god even with some other generic ult. Less difficult, sure, but somewhere up there.
I’m a Tia main so not a stranger to more challenging gods but could never quite make friends with Morri.

And you can't always turn into damage sometimes u need to turn into a tank so u can get out safe as well

With Tiamat, I feel she has more leeway thanks to her scales and cc that give her more survivability than Morrigan.

The only times I turn into a squishy is if they have a strong cc ult that I can reliably hit. If not, I'm not risking it.
Otherwise, I find more success sneaking behind the backline and transforming into a god like Gilgamesh or Odin, since that gives my jungler and solo a chance to dive in and use their ults, which I can then follow up with my own base kit.
Is there some way we can see the full excel sheet? I'm kinda interested in the community's ratings on all gods, not only the top and bottom 10 (maybe also because of my mains not being in here)
Placing Morrigan that high just because of her ultimate is insanity.

Personally, i feel like awilix is a super easy character. She was one of my very first diamond assassins. Her kit synergizes so well and flows super easily. While someone like Ullr has a more complicated selection of how to effectively combo. So, i firmly agree with Ullr being so high on the list, but think Awilix doesn't belong in the top 10 hardest at all. Ive been playing since xbox closed beta and still havent put in the time to master Ullr because his play style always just feels clunky (although, maybe its because i play with controller which is definitely a hinderance with a lot of gods)
I don't agree at all, awilix has a straightforward kit yes, but it has so much more dept.
Without talking about the mechanical skills like being able to react to all kind of knockups with a lot of absurdly short ones and knowing how many autos you can fit in depending on the height before landing the 2, how to space properly around ennemies and use the 2 for immunity, when to use the 1 for engage or to just put it on CD to keep a chase, when to use the ult just as a stim to kill faster rather than to pull someone, and all the mindgames with her 3...
She definetly deserves her top 5 spot, ullr or the other side is just pure mechanical skill and good positionning.
I don't see how anyone can play any hunter on controller, let alone Ullr.

@OLExGREG i mostly play hunters on ps4 and i don’t have any issues, i’m not good but i’m a stable mid plat player and i main carry. Ullr is not impossible to play, the only issue is the 3 from far distances in bow stance
She's easy if the enemy isn't playing around you. Awilix is the most obvious "Knowledge Check" character where she becomes less of a problem the more you know how to play against her. The easiest way to stop her from doing anything is by not leaping and facing her. Obviously some gods like Fenrir will have a difficult time fighting her, but even with the basic knowledge of just facing her, she becomes less of a threat.

I think kuku made the list bc most people can't position or escape junglers on this God or have trouble hitting the utl in a fight
His ult and one are pretty tricky to hit in a fight, especially a 1v1. The amount of times I’ve barely whiffed either is insane. If he had any hard CC (or CC beyond a weak slow) I’d understand his ranking, but he was definitely misranked here
I seriously think people overrate Ullr and the Morrigan when it comes to skill. Ullr does so much damage with little cooldown and Morri ult is just being aware of the game, otherwise it’s just a mage loki
I just started playing Smite again after like 6 years and I picked Yemona to play lol. Should I switch? I'm winning games but I don't know how to play support at all

Maybe the surprise in the ratings has something to do with controller vs Kbm, especially for the gods whose complexity is largely mechanical. I imagine ullr on KBM is one thing and another on controller.

I don't see how neith requires less skill than xbalanque, at least she has to land her abilities other than ult.
Heck you could even say that AMC is less skillful with honey + blue stone.
amc is not skillful at all, xbal honestly is because a hunters main role is laning and he is a weird laner with fluctuating power spike levels throughout the lane phase because he doesnt have a traditional dmg ability.
also neith's double hit 1 on a single target is skill imo
As an avid Nu Wa and Awilix player… Nu Wa is surprisingly low and Awilix is a little too high?
Wa you need to really pay attention to positioning and WHEN to ult to time a perfect secure, noting who has aegis and if its down, and also its a self banish which shows where you land so you can’t just mindlessly hit it because it is actually a detriment in some situations because while ur banished, the enemy cooldowns can refreshed ready for you to come down. Also like mentioned… no movement.
Awilix… jump, basic, basic, flip, knockup. Thats it. What is hard about that? The only skill needed is 1) hitting a knockup trick shot and 2) timing your ult perfectly especially for short ult timings on some ability interactions. But you learn it with time.
Nu wa is possibly the worst god in high comp
You also have to get decently close on Nu Wa, who has no escape, to land abilities.
You're just talking about Awilix skill floor. Her flip has immunity frames and her ult is a situational pull and a stim. You need to know when to use them for max effect

You must not be as "avid" as you let on
Maybe i am biased since she is my main, but I think Sol requieres quite enough skill to make her kit work.
You need to understand her charging mechanics and when to let your abilities fly (when to lauch your 2, when it is better to charge your your heat with your 3, etc).
She is more an adc than most mages which, at least to me, forces you to have a different mindset when building and playing her compared to other mages.
Her 1, 2 and 4 require some predicting and to kinda know what each god can do to you and how to use that to the best of your abilities. Her 4 is tricky to get used to as it requieres you to think about where the enemy will go when each of the rays will go down.
Id agree that heat management and her ult are a bit difficult but her 2 is unironically some of the most free poke on earth and aslong as you pay a bit of attention, you never die in a 1v1 or even 2v1 with your 3 up

I would Love to know the other Placements (to know where my Main Mulan is placed) it would also be interressting to know what you would have expected in the top 10
The skill in Mulan is making it 2 your upgraded abilities even or ahead past that you just roll your face on the keyboard and do a bunch of damage.
The only skill testing thing you can do is use the 3s immunity frames to dodge certain abilities

Most stance-swappers and Supports have the inherent skill difficulty since you have to learn more with stance-swapping and how to give support to others, even if the kits are simple. I do think most of the top spots are well placed though Awilix is confusing to me. I personally don't think she is that hard to play even with the little things in her kit.
Honestly since I play mostly Arena certain gods require a higher skill to play and some that are just impossible. Never play Yemoja in Arena. She is just dead weight almost all the time. Also BA assassins like Arachne or Bakasura also tend to need a lot higher skill in order to get try to do what they want to do. Too many times while playing any Assassin I can't even think about getting into the zip code of targets without instant Aegis or dashes being used and ones with little movement options have it that much harder.

Chang’e didn’t make the top 10 lowest skill gods ? Every ability is damn near impossible to miss , has beads and aegis combined on an ability CD , Gets movement speed for simply using an abilit ….. I love playin Change and Change is 100% the easiest god . No contest .

Ullr is hard but only mechanically and due to the stance switching plus skill shotting. Not really even top 10. Baka should be right behind Arachne IMO since his entire playstyle can be summed up with "eat minions/jungle monsters until you can gank, then leap in and W-key your way to victory while occasionally ulting after the leap for the silence to prevent anyone fighting back". Thats literally it. Kali should be around here too honestly.
How the hell Tyr is the most skilled Warrior I have no idea but he shouldn't be. There's a few other mknor placement issues and likely some things I've forgotted but off rhe rop of my head these were the stand out issues i had.
at first i took the rankings seriously and wisely but then i remembered what players can be like, bias and hating a gods for childish reasons without trying to understand any deeper is frustrating, people can be stupid man

You invite him to your house to show him you can play the Morrigan. HE'LL SLAP YOU IN THE FACE AND TELL YOU THAT GOD IS LUCKY!!! THESE GOD WITH CC ARE EASY COMPARED TOO ME!!! KALI HAS A STUN YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANYTHING BUT A SLOW!!!!!! YOULL USE FRIEND AND TEAMATES AS PAWNS!!! THEN YOULL ALSO BECOME A TANK AND GO UNDER TOWER FIRST (even when your tank tells you to not do it)BECAUSE THE ENEMY WON'T EXPECT IT!!! THEN YOU'LL BE A TRUE SET MAIN, then he lets you go and you eat dinner and he leaves you'll be in your bed 😢😢😢😢😢

i didnt think set was that hard he was the god i picked up after returning to the game and he just came natually but he definitely is harder to play in conquest because of how squishy he is
I think it’s mostly about the positioning of the sand clones, it can be a bit more tricky than most other god’s sets, but yeah I didn’t think is that difficult
Plus Set requires a different mindset than most gods, some people are just built to be set mains lmao

I'd say im realyl good with lancelot, but I NEVER SEE good lancelot's in ranked or pubs. But i frequently carry with lance. He's my fav character and his kit just aligns with me and my playstyle tho. i've literally had a conquest where i was like 44-10 or something crazy
I'm always shocked Susano isn't on these lists. He and Set are my most difficult to play
susano is pretty braindead, hold left click and spam abilities. 2 forms of escape and a self peel with a massive knockup

@@ryanfield4926 auto canceling isnt really even a thing to "learn" all you do is hold left click and use abilities and it does it automatically

I tried playing Tiamat twice and I was quite the feeder (0/10 and 1/12, I guess) ... I'll never play her again.
Yea I played her only once in bot games and got destroyed, she just feels so clunky and stiff to me for some reason, I will never play her again, her stance switch has got me killed under the tower more than three times lol
@@xuzhang1527 I also tried her against a bot first and I did quite well ... but that's just because bots are dumb as hell - not meant as an offence, I still understand your frustration - and so I got the impression of Tiamat "not being that difficult" ... but my first matches against real players proved me otherwise.
I have like 6 stars on Tia and I also go heavy negative a lot (4/7, 5/9) I feel like she has a decent amount of bad match ups, her clear early game isn’t great, not terrible but will often get out cleared. Plus like what Inter said her play style nearly completely changes with her stance and if you played other characters in a match prior you probably still have their play style in your mind and then Tiamat has mechanics that resemble other gods but then you change stance and she’s completely different and can no longer fit that play style. Ever since bruiser items were removed I feel like a lot of mages and guardians have struggled in solo where they used to be really good or at least passable, ignoring the fact there isn’t a magical solo starter (I guess there’s Tainted but most people feel that’s situational) unless you abuse damaging item effects so much they place a restraining order against you you’re really not gonna do anything in solo other than die as nearly any magical
As a Tia main, one of the main things that makes her difficult is her playstyle is just SO matchup dependent. There’s really no way to just be naturally good at her, you have to learn how to best utilize all of your abilities in every situation and you can only learn that through experience. I just happen to find her super cool and rewarding so that’s why I stuck with it regardless of how bad I was doing, but I understand how others would find her more frustrating than fun.

I main ullr he is harder to play but I’d put Nut, Anhur, and Hou Yi above him.

Ullr is definitely harder than awilix. Awilix have basic abilities. The only thing hard about her kit is using her ultimate and jump probably. Every ullr ability is a skill shot and you constantly have to switch

Personally think Morrigan is very overrated here. Like, yeah she does have the theoretically highest skill cap, and you do *technically* need to know how to play most to all gods to use the ult to its full potential... but you really should know how to play most to all gods regardless if you're a serious ranked player anyway. And when you account for that, Morrigan is just... a very basic mage kit with a decently *(but not highly)* skill testing ultimate.
I also think Tyr is pretty damn overrated as well (though warriors overall were kind of underrated). I'd certainly put Achilles, Horus, and Osiris higher than Tyr.
Finally, I also find Ullr overrated, but someone else in the comments already went over that much better than I would've been able to.

morrigan has always been a low skill god with a idiotic amount of cope around her. Her 1-3 kit are generally low skill abilities and the cope " Well ackshoeally you have to be able to play every god in the game perfect to play her perfect" Is so ridiculously laughable every time its typed out she wouldn't ever consider turning into half the roster at least and what she transforms into arent skilled gods its something like picking thana and double ulting someone or double hunbatz ulting. She picks whoever has the biggest most annoying and easily applicable button to sway a fight in teamfights or whoever has the best duel god to beat someone in a 1v1 or simply turning into the god the guy is already playing and winning a 1v1 because she mathmatically just gets to use that gods whole kit alongside morris 3 buttons so she should never lose it barring relic diff. The actual only part of skill around the god is her ultimate but not for the actual transformation but managing the cooldown so you dont use it at a bad time and get stuck having to play as a terrible mage in the next teamfight.
Ullr takes no skill, just hide behind a wall and throw the axe when they turn a corner xd

I didnt rate any gods but my argument for Ullr is if you aren't mechanically fast enough, you're basically playing half a god. Like with awilix, serqet and others, if your apm is low you can still perform and do damage and stuff, but with Ullr if you can't axe, or land your bow moves after axe, you're just playing a low attack speed hunter with no crit, obow procs, qins, exe etc... making you just useless

@unbiddenisland just staying in the same class, is say Thor, Jorm and Artio are higher skilled. Terra and Maui arent easy to play at high level by any means, but i never found their gameplay to be super challenging for rabked match ups in the platinum/ diamond games

@@solcloudchaser4988 Hard disagree with you if those are your support options. Jorm and Arito are only played 1 way, W Key and Jorm depending on the team comp hes agaisnt doesnt even have to think about the laner hes against cause they cant actually disrupt him (ex. Tyr).
Terra is easily way harder then both of those gods, while yes she also has the option to w key with her 3 and ult being a lare aoe circle, her ability types are much harder to use. Her 3 and wall are both obstacles that you can body block with, these are unconventional and hard to consistently get a body block with, its not always pop these abilities just for damage, you can leave them up to body block or furthe, slow the oponents with your aoe autos. You have much more options of outplay potential. Shes also a healer, so you have to choose wether the cooldowns with then also be used to heal or be aggressive (artio on the other hand ALWAYS has to hit the oponents to heal, again being only a w key god). ON TOP OF THAT, Terras abilities make her knock up immune, so stagering out your abilitys to make sure you always have an option to just use your 2 or 3 just to be knock up immune is very realistic (fighting into xian tian ult is an example). Maui also has a varied play style, while i dont think hes really TOP 10 hardest gods, hes defenitly harder then jorm or artio

ullr being this high ? just try the god, trow your axe and then combo, the enemy is dead ( you can even macro the combo) the god is extremly easy to play, and if you miss, just run behind tower / gardian, easy win
i wish hirez would just add GCD on his 1 and 3 (1 sec on his ult), he would be some much funnyer to play / battle, and take so much more skill to master and be effective with

i think morrigan and awilix are overrated, morrigan 1 2 3 are braindead abilities and the ult from 1-25 minutes is going to be whoever is fed af. for awilix, if you can even get to 3 full items without your team f6ing and teammates that arent paraplegic she one shots basically anyone.
in my honest opinion tiamat is the hardest god. keeping up with double buffs, (which requires teammates most the time) choosing which of your 3 ults to use and just the build diversity you can have with her is pretty wide unlike for most gods that just use the most meta items

He is, and definitely one of the harder hunters to play. I just think top 5 hardest in the game is very overrated. I would put him somewhere more like top 15-20. He is mechanically difficult but doesn't have a complex gameplan or as many decisions to make as someone like Tiamat, Yemoja, Morrigan, etc.

He doesn't have skill expression despite rexsi's propaganda campaign ullr is just a poke mage there is not deeper skill to any of the things he does. poke enemies with the 3 or hit a stun and get confirmed dmg. He only aims 2 abilites and its only sometimes his axe and his freehand 3. there is genuinely 0 thinking involved with playing ullr its just try to hit them with all your buttons and run away with your 2.
The only reason he's considered hard is because his axe was hard like sylvanus pull 6 years ago and his bow 3 is a smaller circle but you know who else has targeters the same size and is more important for them to hit that we don't consider hard the 3 updowners Bellona, Ravana, Osiris same size targeter and 2 of them don't even get a free stun setup.
I agree with this statement. The Skill ceiling here, is what makes him a whole other beast. Grandmasters make him look S-tier when played to his fullest. While no Grandmaster is out here making neith look S-tier imo.

Set is genuinely overrated in difficulty. Saying this as a Set player since release and one of the first people who found out how op the initial glad shield bruiser build was. You play him more like a mage with the ability to go in like an assassin. Just need to get used to a different mind set.
