This awesome new kit simulates the cannon firing, and the smoke that comes out with it. It is a plug and play kit- but you need to modify the BB / Airsoft unit for the tubing and Flash LED to fit through, and needless to say, you lose the airsoft function.
Fret not, your tank just became a lot more AWESOME!

EUREKA! I figured how to make this work for the CLARK TK boards. Please allow me some time for this next video!
ALSO please note for the TK boards, the smoke unit will slightly different kit. NOT this one as it won't work other than HL v6.0/6.1 MFU anyway!

Wow! Did not know you could add smoke! Definitely want that in my abrams!
You don't have to cut anything at all very easy .just remove the barrel and the light blue part at the end of the barrel just remove it and you can put the hose in you have lots of room and you can still later if you want you can still use the bb later..but I added a nipple to the barrel and add the smoke to it so I can shoot the BB's and have smoke at the same time. Very easy to add to the Aluminum barrel

After seeing this video I am seriously considering buying a tiger 1 but I will not destroy the bb part I will make it recoil fire bb’s flash and smoke, I know it can be done fairly easy because if you can make a flashing smoking recoil gun on a Airwolf helicopter scaling up makes it easy to add bb capabilities I already know how in my head I will start to put the money together and buy an all metal 1/16 tiger 1 and video all

Hey Stanlley, this should also work with TK 7.0 right? Both MFU's have a Wi-Fi port (CN5) and a launch flashing light port (LED 1) Or am I missing something?

Most likely, as that's powered by the airsoft mechanism. If so you can shove the tube into the gap between airsoft and the barrel
@@StanlleyLegion Thanks Stanley that's very helpful. I have seen someone else do the same thing (using the gap), so the next (obvious) question is after looking at your video would I still need to make a jumper or would that wire be need to be connected to make sure the recoil continues to work?

@@StanlleyLegion Hopefully the last question, I have the V7.0 system board which does look a little different to the one in your video, would the same channels be used for this upgrade on the V7.0 as the V6.0?
@@telboye873 yes for the cannon smoke should be the same- and v7.0 has the instant fire function (G + right silver button) which don't require the jumper
Hey Stanlley could you show how to do this with a recoil barrel? I think you would have to cut the white bb part differently! Thanks for teaching us how to mod our tanks so they can be there best!
pretty much the same- but i'm not going to using the stock BB unit for recoil, i'd use a recoil unit, still will route the hose into the barrel same way!
Could this in theory be wired in to work with the bb unit? You could get it to feed smoke and then fire with the bb and air pressure

The IR LED is not inside the barrel, so no problem. The IR LED is usually mounted in the manlet

Can this be somehow used with a 360 degree turret rotation? My M1A2 has the 360 degree rotation and don't want to loose that. If so, how and what parts will be needed.
you can, but you'll need to wire this through the slipring. I'd just remember to rotate the turret back to prevent the wires from tangling.

I'm hoping you can help as I'm lost. I bought this unit 1:16 Torro Tiger I RC Tank Pro Recoil Firing Unit off of eBay for my Heng Long tiger 1 so my barrel will recoil. Of course no instructions come with this unit. Do you have any knowledge that would help me install this unit.

Yes it works fine for v7.0
@@StanlleyLegion One issue I have for the v7.0 board. I didn't end up cutting the BB unit and left it in Channel 1. But the issue I get is that the firing, flash and recoil are not all synced at the same time. there's a slight delay with the recoil. Does the jumper solve that problem?

I just installed it and it is fantastic 😀. My ir emmitter isn't working now 😑. Does this have anything to do with it?? Sherman henglong 6.0 any advice would be greatly appreciated
The original IR emitter isn't the best quality. Turn off the cannon smoke and see if it works. If it does then its just blocked by the smoke.. But you can upgrade the LED
shame you still have the track recoil enabled, also i;m sure you can do it without loosing bb function, but i will get back to you on that
I am going to incorporate this with a HL that actually fires the BB :-)
That was my thought as well. Why not fill the air cylinder that makes the BB fly with smoke. There wont be any room for the LED but I still think it's a better option.
i can not see in video but must the rest of parts in the Hull or somewhere else?
if you have the space, turret will be the best choce. and lower hull is the last choice,
Hey I have two questions, first off I have a very old probably bought in 2010 Hen Long 1/16 Tiger I with metal tracks. I've weathered and aged it to make it look realistic, I've also change out speaker for much bigger with custom box for beefier sound and added a new Ni-Mh battery. I've also added I believe it is a TARR MK3 smoke unit to it which give much better smoke output and it is proportional as well. I've been wondering if you know if it would be possible to add a second smoke unit so that each exhaust has separate smoker for more smoke without changing out the main board. I do see there's one more 2 pin outlet next to the smoke outlet that's in use but not sure if its for that and if it would be safe to use. Another question is if you think it would be possible to add smoke generator for a BB canon?

thanks for your question.
the older MFU may not be able to handle the heavier load. Also TARR is not very smokey to begin with.
cannon smoke is available but not with this MFU. you need to use say HL v6.0 or TK boards for this feature

yes but the wires isn't connected to the 360 slip ring, so turn back where you turn from.. (2 turns left, so 2 turns right back)

Not sure about your tank. Is the recoil activated by BB motor or servo. If servo no problem. If motor.. That's gone

yes- working with CLARK on this, but you NEED to change the board to CLARK TK board

Hi, just bought a heng long sherman tank, and sent off for the smoke flash kit, do I just follow these steps? Also if you cut off the section you marked would that not cause problems, I'm a novice and don't want to ruin a brand new £150 tank

I just purchased this with no flash LED, only the heating element and motor. I connected the heating element to CN5 and the motor on CN2 which is available port. I also put jumper on CN6, But when I press buttons G and S, smoke comes out non stop. Did I connected wrong here? Pls advise. My board is Version 6.0
you need the board mate, that's the trigger mechanism and timer

I've been looking for a Heng Long King Tiger pro with barrel recoil. I think this mod would be absolutely perfect for it.
However I've read that apparently HL doesn't make them with BB + IR + Barrel recoil anymore. Only IR + barrel recoil, or BB without barrel recoil.
Would you happen to know if/where I can still get one that has both?
sorry mate- not sure where you got that from, HL never made BB tanks with recoil. Taigen did though.

That's interesting, Motion RC lists 'Barrel Recoil' in the features list of the HL King Tiger Pro (seems like I can't post the link, sorry)

I did find the Torro/Taigen 11510-CA which has all the features including Recoil and smoke barrel, but where's the fun in buying something that needs no modding ;)

not that impressed just a tank took a puff of e-cigarette. it'd have been more impressed if it had breathed out of dark clouds of smoke instead. is there a way to make the color of smoke darker? thanks for sharing your great video.
Unfortunately no such luck with darker smoke colour. Only white.

I’m waiting on my transmission for my T-72, i love that smoke and am going to want to add that too. What tanks take the slower metal transmission Stan, I bought one on accident and I don’t want it to go to waste, if you could list me some tanks that are comparable with the slower metal transmission I would greatly appreciate it my friend
Any WW II TANK is a slow moving tank German, British, American. Any of them will be perfect for the slow gearbox. Hope this helps.
Also the size of a slow or fast gearbox is the same size, they just have a few more gears. Take a Tiger it will fit a 5 gear gearbox. As it will fit a 3 gear gearbox. Both will fit, same for all Heng Long TANKS.

this will work with IR tanks, why won't it?
unless your IR LED is in the barrel.. we usually mount ours on the barrel in a LED holder.

yes, but only for certain boards.
v6.0 doesn't support servos.
v6.1 support servos
@@StanlleyLegion Taigen sells a servo board for their Tiger 1 Mid Ver. This can be used to hot wire any output from any board and use that signal to operate the servo itself. The only draw back is that I can only be used for the recoil function since its hard wired to the board. FYI

Stanley l remember when l told you about this. An you were, ummm lm not sure about this, lve never done this before. An l said it's easy. Now u tell me, was l wrong. The only problem for me is lve got 20 of em. An l was going to send you 1 for my LEO build. But l told you they would come, an here they are. Wicked. But l don't like the led!! It's not bright at all. Can you fit the Super Bright led with the barrel smoker?? That's what ld be looking for. See l told you they were coming. An hear they are. There's actually an easier way to do it. Just drill a small hole in the barrel were it's in the turret fit a plastic reticulation adapter tube that's made to go from the main tube to a small tube, witch is the exact same size as the smoker tube. U just fit the small plastic inline adapter into the barrel, were u drilled the hole attach the smoker tube to it an the force of the smoker pump + the recoil of the barrel will force the smoke out. Sounds complicated, but it's very easy. Drill put plastic adapter in attach smoker tube done. That's how lve done my Abrams Stan, didn't have to cut anything!! But lm glad you've finally got em.

Mite be helpful if u did a video using the barrel smoker with the CLARK TK60 or whatever. I use mine with the TK60 + BENEDINI MINI. I think this would be useful as most people will be using the barrel smoker with the CLARK series.

I new you would, it's not that difficult. But l wanted to say if you put the tube right to the end of your barrel. It blows out so far it's not realistic. You should try it with the tube half way down the barrel, it's much more realistic. Aussie Scott.
