You are so welcome! Thanks Teresa 😀
Ditto! Karen is one of THE BEST!!!!
I really enjoyed this video. Especially how you turned the block upside-down and sideways. Brilliant!
Thank you very much!
Love this!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful tree composition
Oh Karen! Each tutorial of yours is better than the next!!! You’ve got me addicted to your channel❤❤❤ Before I found you I was doing mostly acrylic or acrylic/mixed media painting. But, I’m beginning to LOVE watercolor. There is definitely a learning curve but it has been a lot of fun. I love painting abstract/expressionist landscapes and you seem to show quite a lot on your channel. Thank you so very much😊. Once the summer is over I’m going to join your Patreon channel as well!!!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!! so pleased you are enjoying my tutorials!
Fantastic way of doing trees. Best I’ve seen.

I love trees and love painting them. I have a small block of rough paper and will use to try this, can't wait 😊
Wonderful!
Love the sky painting technique as well as the under painting for the trees. Great tutorial. Thanks.
Thanks so much 😊
I’m looking forward to giving this painting a try
Super helpful - I do struggle with trees! Your “runny skies” are getting better and better - it’s the only way to do them 👏. Big thanks 🙏 😊
Thank you so much!
Love, love this one! Great effects, wonderful techniques
Thanks so much!
So many wonderful techniques shown here. I'm curious to paint lines upside down for one thing and also trying the scraping idea, which I never have tried with trees and foliage. Thanks so very much! 🎨
Wow! I am obsessed with trees. I can’t wait to try this tomorrow. Thank you so much.
Hope you enjoy!
Very nice way of painting trees! Easy and natural looking!
Thank you so much 😀
I needed this video. I took a photo of a building surrounded by trees. I’ve drawn the building and have drawn rough sketches of the position of the trees, but I’m afraid to start painting for fear of ruining the drawing. I have to just start it. Thank you!
Good luck! Really pleased this was helpful.
@@KarenRiceArtthank you! ❤️
That ‘paralysis’ is an awful feeling. It does still happen to me but I overcame it largely by trying to as much ‘work’ in one session as I can.
You don’t have time to become attached to what you have already done.
Your paintings are awesome.....
Thank you so much 😀
Lovely painting and brilliant timing….this week I decided to learn how to do watercolour trees 😊
It's wonderful Karen. I'll try it tomorrow. Many greetings from Zürich. ❤❤🎉
Thank you so much!

Thank you again, Karen. I got good ideas from your demo for painting a very, very ordinary landscape with watercolours and the trees there have bee the tricky part. I know now how to continue.

Hi Karen. When did you brush off the salt? I think I missed it or it wasn’t in the video. Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial. Very helpful.
I did it once the painting had dried.
This painting is one I will definitely save. What shape do you cut your plastic card to get certain effects. Thanks
So pleased you like this one! I cut my cards are in all different shapes and sizes.
Sorry Karen, I think I asked this question in the wrong video. What is the gold paint you mentioned please? Love your videos, thank you 🙏
I was using Quinacridone gold
Hello, wondering when do you brush away the salt when it's dry ?
Yes I brush off the salt once the painting has dried.
🍀🍀💐💐
At what stage can you run the card to get white showing?
When the paint is damp
It lookz so easy when you do it but i end up with a pale wet mess!
Keep practicing! It really helps!
Damp into damp
What kind of salt, course salt?
I use table salt.
Therapeutic is the last word I've heard before going to 😴
Thank you so much 😊
