I noticed your use of Kali Linux and coming from the perspective of ethical hacking, reverse engineering in terms of cryptography, cyber security, vulnerabilities in systems, etc. what is your take or perspective on the use of Black Arch as opposed to Kali Linux?
Once you know how to install new software on either base, it mostly doesn't matter (aside from being a different starting point). Don't waste time learning the minutae of differences between the different packaging of Linux distros and focus on the fundamentals (commands, networking, protocols, how to find out how to do things, etc).
@@kevinrineer5356 That is very true yet there are subtle differences between some of the base or parent distros. Such as Ubuntu (Debian based) and Arch with their update models. The difference between package and file managers, etc. even though they can all be swapped out, replaced and customized. However, it's also geared towards each of the communities with respect towards their repositories as in the availability of applications, tools, and resources along with updated documentations and a slew of other things. Aside from that, one of the biggest concerns which is or has improved over time but can make or break a newcomer and that is driver support as well as either being easy or very difficult to properly install and configure them so that your system is stable, and your hardware works as it is expected to. For some it may be a no-brainer, or they just got lucky and had no issues while others might fail to get a sound card, a printer, etc... to install and work properly.
