    Man I miss living near San Francisco! Weekend get away! Great views and all the street photography you can do will keep you wanting more! Great session Caleb! I don't see many photographers choosing to pull their film...specially with FujiFilm Pro 400H!

    Know the feel for that Camera, got the same Setup, got a woodengrip for the right (there are a couple of options on Ebay) ... makes it a lot easier to carry :-)

      VA-Photo Vanity-Art-photography I ave the wooden grip tooo! But when I bought it the seller shipped it with the handle attached, so it ripped out my lugs on that side in transit. RIP wooden handle.

    Folks do not pull process color negative film generally, because you can rate the box speed, overexpose when needed, process normally,and the extra density on the overexposed frames can be printed "through" without incident. Another reason to avoid pull processing is that it does take some experimentation to get the best reduced development time to do the "pull". The pulled shots shown here all look excessively low contrast and desaturated. Some of that may be the way the film was handled, but it may also be attributed to underdevelopment shorter than required for a one-stop pull. (or the condition of the chemistry, or the way the negatives were scanned, or....)

      He says “why don’t I try something “ at 3:13. And if it’s something he like then that’s on him. Art is subjective so I don’t see the issue with him trying something.

    RIP Pro 400h. I’m glad I can still get a hold of it in 120 (on Amazon), but damn it’s a shame it’s gone (after 2021)!

    • @BadFlashes
      @BadFlashes  Před 4 lety +1

      tuchencio tuch Thanks!! Yeah I totally agree with that. It’s almost like just exposing for the shadows more or less.

      Speaking as a Pentax 67 user for decades, you might also wish for the Titanic to steam into NYC with as much chance. At 73, I bought an autofocus Fuji 645.

    Lambert street?
    LOL it's Lombard
    Trying to pull more than 2 stops doesn't really end up working from what I've seen. Over exposing by that much and trying to under develop it makes everything blend into the midtones and it just looks like fogged film.
