I'm amazed you did a tutorial of this. A lot of people don't know that VTubing, particularly PNGtubing, can be very affordable and even work on potato computers/laptops. I got started for $0 with a PNG cut out version of my VRoid model (using Veadotube) when my PC was a potato. I'm happy I got to get used to streaming before deciding to actually invest in it! Thank you for this!
Did you had a mic or what did u use if not? I would love a model to use too but I have no drawing skills so what can I do, if u dont mind sharing. P.S my laptop is a fried potato.:)

In terms of a model, you can either commission a PNGTuber from someone over on Twitter or a 2D Vtuber from a TRUSTED person. I can't tell you how to go down the 2D route though as I've only ever done PNG and 3D (VRoid).

A great demonstration of the creative potential of a few well-chosen PNGs! :D I'm a 3D VTuber with a steady enough system to stream with it and run most of what I want, but I've got Veadotube to use as my backup when the game's specs are just too high. Can't recommend it enough!
Veado translates to deer in Brazilian Portuguese ( or maybe it's in Spanish ), when pronouncing that word it resembles Video, that's probably why the tool is named that way, it's a pun ( besides the "mascot" is a deer ) :) Great video btw.

I'm new to VTubing, and I find this tutorial very excellent (give it an SS++) especially to those who couldn't afford expensive yet powerful apps just to be a VTuber. With the combination of Veadotube Mini and OBS, VTubing is no longer a pipedream to those willing to follow the trend.
Veadotube is one of the best apps for pngtubers, specially because of the different states that you can use. One can have a smile, a sad, an angry and much other faces just like a regular vtuber and still be a pngtuber :D Btw i watch a lot of smaller vtubers and pngtubers

I am a 3D VTuber and my siblings join in on some videos as PNGtubers, definitely going to check this program out and see what I can do with it. fI hope it will give them more control over their PNGtubers while we record videos and stuff. It was static and only allowed for 2 images. This will be much better, now I gotta draw my 4 images tho 😳 (I used popcat as my temporary placeholder lolll) Time to get to work !

I love Prism, but wouldn't suggest their PNGtubing for desktop use, as you'd have to green screen your way in, and noticed that kills anything green in one's design. Like my headband loses its hunter green color and looks black. Imagine if you were a mainly green vtuber, lol.
This has a usefulness for those day i dont feel like showing my face or for segments when i hide my camera to eat so im not eating on stream.. i might use this with my own face so i can eat but still show me without people having to watch me stuff my gullet
finally someone who shows what ive been looking for!..... a question for those in the know... i have a drawing ready that consists of two people...... is there a way to make the other person/png talk when the gamer is talking, while still being able to have my own character talk ?.... im going to be the one recording since i have the better pc currently. so on my side will be obs and this veadotube....but they will be talking from there pc... sorry still extrememly new to this so im not sure how to explain....will be recording vids for youtube, not streaming... i know it can all just be done manually in an editor...but damn that just seems like itd be quite the hassle considering we are very new to the whole thing THANX :)

@@Gael_Level It is really good. I am hoping that there is someone out there that can figure out how to target a random file so that I can have more than the one alternate picture. I made my png of myself like the Canadian South Park characters (head separates at the mouth). I have it so the top of my head goes straight up but I would love to have it randomly pick from left, right and straight up instead. I am still working on it.
My potato exploded when I tried to use a vroid 3d avatar, so I'm looking at 2D now. The truth is, a well done 2D character has just as much personality as a 3D one.

I get that you can make a png character out of whatever. My question is what is there a rule or law against using for streaming? I’d like to use a screenshot of my mmo game character but idk if that’d cause some sort of legal issue.
I've been trying to download veadotube mini on my mac laptop and I can't seem to get it to work. When I download it and try to open it up it always say that its broken. Anyone else is having this issue? And can anyone give me some suggestions please?

I just use a picture of myself with different states and then use the "audiomove" plugin filter in OBS. No extra software needed.
