- People asked so I take the time to break down the 15 rarest platinum trophies I have. There's a good mix of tough but fair, just plain tough, and doable mixed in here so hope you find a game you might like.

You know it's MY kind of Platinum list when Toy Story 3 is the first game represented! Maybe next video could be 15 Platinum's I wish I could get, but never will because Online servers being shut down (or are just too difficult/time consuming)? Could be a fun list to see come together :) Always the best, thanks for sharing Blink!

I remember I wanted to go for the Toy Story 3 plat since it's my favorite movies growing up. I eventually gave up on the gold medals part since the information on what exactly you need to do for some of them were no where to be found online and that sandbox mode likes to make you figure it out youself a lot of times if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure my rarest trophy is Nickelodeon Racer 3. 0.1% on PSN and it was a grind to say the least. Great game tho
Yeah don't blame you on giving up that gold medal grind. I still need to check out that Nickelodeon Racer series, I was a Nickelodeon kid growing up so I'm sure I'd at least enjoy it for the references and nods to those old shows.

Some really good games on this list. While not as good as the original Catalyst is still a very fun parkour game. I haven’t played it myself but I’ve heard how amazing Titanfall 2 is and I really should try it out. SOTC is of course a timeless masterpiece. I’ve happily gotten the plat on every version of that game. Ico has been in my backlog for ages and I really need to go back to it. Cool to see that you’re a professional speedrunner of it. So cool to see another BlazBlue fan! I’m a proud owner of every plat in the series. If you’re looking to get the Continuum Shift platinum I’d be happy to help. CS is probably my most played fighting game. Despite having a PSVR embarrassingly I have yet to play Beat Saber. I really ought to. Titan Souls is a very good and underrated indie. Sad to say I save scummed the iron man mode although I did do it like you and only cloud saved at certain checkpoints, 3 in total for me. Guess I’ll list my top 15 here too.

And damn your top platinums are wild, so many impressive games! Persona 4 Arena and Super Meat Boy?! Both in my backlog and both super impressive. Also cool to see BattleFantasia in there, not a lot of people know about that game. Great, great list!!
It still hurts to see Titan Souls, because I suck at the game and I have no motivation to improve (my frustration is still active). On a positive note: A few years ago, I returned to Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) and ICO (PS3) and both games became great memories. Back then, when I first played them. I wasn’t reatdy to appreciate the experience, but 10 years later, I earned the Platinum. And ICO surprised me a lot. The speedrun trophy took me 3 tries, if I remember correctly, but it wasn’t overly difficult. Nothing but great memories.

I totally get that with Titan Souls. It's good that you can identify that frustration and know not to push yourself. It's easy for us to get stubborn about wanting to see it through, but sometimes it really is best to walk away and maybe come back later if we feel the urge.
Glad that you also have an appreciation for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus! Fumito Ueda is one of my favorite developers out there, all his games has such a sense of place and intrigue.

Was a fun video to watch! Ngl I expected NFS MW (2012) to be much more rare haha. I am a huge racing fan, and MW 2012 is over hated haha. I still would love to get one of the stacks on that haha!
My rarest plat is Black Ops 3, but currently working on GTA 4 (plat is basically finished but I'm waiting to pop it since I'm working on the DLCs) and F1 23 which are both ultra rare :D

I came up with the brilliant idea to go through the ps5 game catalogue from earliest to latest release and 100% all the games I care about, currently about 130 on that list. So far I’ve done 3, Astro’s Playroom, Demon’s Souls and Bugsnax. Working on the Pathless now. Wish me luck

Great video as usual! I really need to go back and finish off that plat trophy for TitanFall 2 as I want to replay the single player.
I remember trying to get the platinum trophies for the PS3 Shadow of the Colossus however I gave up after a while, it would be nice to go back and clean that up or just play the bluepoint remake which I haven't done yet!
It's a ton of fun to get Titanfall, I'd say you should definitely focus on getting that one ASAP! But of course, SotC is great too.

Most of my "hard" trophies arent rare because they can be done on any difficulty. I only play games on the hardest difficulty (and have done so for the last 10 years) so games like Tlou 2, god of war 2018, Ragnarok and such all have extremely high completion percent because they're incredibly amazing games and deserve to be platted. Because of that my rarest trophies are basically all of the rare trophies of Neo: The world ends with you because not many want to plat that game (11% plat rate).
Currently working on Horizon Forbidden West. It's starting to become one of my favourite games of all time. The story is amazing, the combat is probably the most fun I've ever had in all combat. I'd even say its better than the last of us 2's combat. I love the lore, its just such an insanely good game.

@@Blinkoom yea, I got it on vita after taking a super long break from it. Fantastic game, couldn’t recommend it enough. Platinum is really tough tho, it really does require you to play perfectly, especially the last couple of stages, and some of the longer ones

That's...a lot better than what I was expecting. Considering I don't go out of my way for rarer platinums (usually, I just play what I'm interested in), this seems pretty decent. A lot of PS3 and PSVita games which makes sense, trophy hunting wasn't as popular nor as player friendly at that point.
9:42 ("Shadow of the Colossus Remake")
I got this one as well, though I didn't think it was too bad. Granted, that's also because I also did the PS3 remastered one as well which is way worse. The three main obstacles being the Hard Mode Time Trials (with bugged stagger physics making it way harder), obtaining every fruit (including the forbidden garden ones that are near impossible to see), and obtaining every lizard tail (which require reloading at shrines repeatedly for respawns), etc.
13:20 ("ICO)
Funnily, I got this as well. Not too bad either but those speedruns can be quite stressful. Especially for me since I'm slow and like to take my time.
I guess to add, I swear, Team ICO platinums are consistently some of the worst trophy hunting experiences since they just don't match how the games intend for you to play them.
15:46 ("Ultros")
This is currently in my backlog. I thought it looked neat so I decided to blindly get a physical version. Didn't realize it was so relatively rare. Looking forward to starting it eventually.
22:58 ("Blazblue Calamity Trigger")
While this isn't among my first fighting game platinums, it was one of the first fighters I actually tried playing online. So by the time I went back to it years later, a little before the "Central Fiction 2.0" patch released, I actually already had a lot of the online stuff done. Just had to clear up some loose ends, which thankfully the online was still active enough for.
Nightmare princess is a game I've been thinking of replaying a lot lately. Sadly I no longer have a copy and it's still full price.
Wow that is a great list of platinums you have! So much love shown for those RPG and niche games of the PS3 era. Always cool to meet someone who clearly loves some NIS, Gust, etc type games. Some of those are on my backlog too but things like Disgasa are looooong platinums. Massive respect!

Yeah, I primarily play the more niche stuff, so I got plenty of those types of games.
In fact, NIS is my favorite developer and I've finished damn near every game they've made...that have released overseas anyway. It's no wonder 5 of my top 15 are from them, with even more behind the curtain.

Wow you have so many great games! Love to see all the Guitar Hero games in there. I got GH5 put on my profile and even though I don't think I can get the online trophies, so no plat for me, I definitely am gonna go back and clean up some trophies I can still get. @@Blinkoom Thanks man!🥳 Pretty happy about these, but damn do some of them come at a cost! The GH5-plat is fairly recent, thanks to a private server, so thats definately doable if you wanna go for it. Still pretty tricky, and the game is fairly janky😅 Quake was a lot of fun on ps5, and I'd recommend it, at least if you hook up a mouse and keyboard and use quicksaves a lot then its very doable, but its a lot of levels to get through with all expansions etc included.

My rarest Platinum is surprisingly Lego City Undercover, with only 1,3 % of PlayStation-players obtaining it.

@@Blinkoom I knew nothing about the game other than it was a Metroidvania and that it looked like the entire dev team were on acid during development. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting but honestly was a refreshing change of pace.

@@Blinkoom I've been mostly chasing rare platinum for four and a half years. I like many of these games regardless of whether they are difficult or lengthy.
