Wasn’t that canon until Scott was like “hahaha jk you guys can you imagine 😅”
There was the box that was supposed to open and would apparently explain things. MatPat predicted that the box likely suggested that it was all a dream, but dream theory was pretty unpopular and the box never actually got opened even though I’m pretty sure it was supposed to(I think there was some kind of countdown). So basically, a lot of people believe that the original intent was dream theory, and that the box would have supported that, but because it wasn’t a satisfying narrative for most fans, Scott never opened the box and changed the narrative.
Amanda nailed it with “when they stay still or move really fast they are at their scariest is so right”. That’s why the jump scare animation for spring trap is so weird for me. He looks creepy, but mute the sound when he gets you, he just kinda awkwardly comes closer like someone trying to ask you out. Kinda takes the wind out of the jump-scares when you notice lol.
What I really love is that Shayne and Amanda was one of the most random pairings you could have done of all the Smosh crew, yet they are slowly becoming one of the most iconic Smosh duos

I’ll just say: I’m 19(f) and have worked as a security guard and done night shifts. When you are alone it can be eerie but like it’s not scary exactly. I was just chilling checking the cams for 8-12 hours depending on the night. To be fair I was in an empty warehouse and printer place (dunno how to phrase it exactly) not a creepy place with animatronics.

So you unfortunately can't do anything to save yourself when he shows up in the doorway. You just have to try to keep him from getting there with the audio and sealing vents. If he shows up in the window, you can still save yourself by playing audio in the next room over. Obviously, this is all useless to you now, but there you go.

Like I said before in another comment, she picked up on this pretty well and genuinely had good instincts and outperformed Shayne I feel with just gut instincts while playing (which didn't ultimately matter with cheats but still). And even in the 2 game she picked up on it very fast and beat Night 3 on her first try.
She's genuinely got good instincts and can actually adapt very quickly to the style of gameplay these games have.

Amanda getting a hallucination jump scare and IMMEDIATELY attempting to fix the ventilation issue just out of muscle memory, even though they had the cheat on that prevented errors is sending me. Just the involuntary whip to the maintenance panel and the pure fear in her eyes… she’s been through some shit now, thanks to this game 😅
Honestly with her playing like that I think she could genuinely do well without the cheats. She unironically outperformed Shayne
@@shyguyrocks1 for real! She was starting to do so well and I really want her to come back to it again after some practice to knock it out of the park! For not knowing any rules and ignoring any tips/phone call instructions, she learned really fast and had pretty good survival instincts! I really hope they play the rest of the games
