Florida Travel Day ✈️ Aer Lingus | Dublin to Orlando | December 2023

Welcome to the start of our 2023 Florida vlog, first up is our Travel day.
For our travel day we drove down from Northern Ireland to Dublin to fly with Aer Lingus directly to Orlando International. Flying from Dublin gave us the option to do pre-clearance, allowing us to clear immigration, customs and agricultural inspections before boarding our flight 🥳
This certainly made getting off the plane and to our resort a lot quicker!
We visited the 51st and Green lounge at Dublin airport before our flight, which saw us take off out of Dublin Terminal 2, and arrive in at the very new Terminal C at Orlando International.
After a 9.5 flight we quickly grabbed our bags before being picked up by skippy transportation and checking in to our home resort for the next few nights, Universal's Endless Summer Resort - Dockside.

A long travel day but a good one! Always lovely to be home. I’ve only done a pre-clearance flight once but found it so much better as no waiting at the end when you’re knackered! Look forward to watching the rest of the trip 😊

How old your little boy as I am taking my grandson and he willbe 2.5 yrs old when we go

Thea was 3 and a half and Joel was 1 and a half when we took them.
We also went September 2022 when Thea was 2 and a half and Joel was 11 weeks old!
2.5 is a great age, they don't require a ticket and still eat free at buffets! Hope you have a fantastic time!

You mentioned that you have a pre-clearance in Dublin. 😊
So, were you able to avoid Customs in Orlando all together and just walk straight out of the airport with no checks what-so-ever ?
What exactly does pre-clearance mean ? 😊 Thanks !!

Yup that's right, when we got off the plane we we did not need to do any customs and were straight through to arrivals.
So Pre-Clearence is that you do customs in Dublin before boarding, meaning it's all done and can just walk off the plane and through the airport when you land in USA
