Well, when we look at 1972 and 1973 stock still running in this day and age, I think that is a tribuite to the care and maintenance (not to say also the original design from Metro-Cammell) that keeps these babies running all these years later. They were likely given clearance for that signal by their signaller. Probably was faulty
