You just clarified a decision for me, in relation to implants and chronic autoimmune disease. My dentist had been dismissing the possible complications of autoimmune issues when recommending implants, although I already suffer from severe Xerostomia caused by autoimmune disease, and am losing my teeth because of it. I had read, anecdotally, of implants falling out in such cases, but it is incredibly helpful to have a professional opinion on the matter. Your video is invaluable. Many thanks. I have R.A. and a couple more autoimmune diseases. I asked my dentist if this would affect my dental implants. He said no. I have a full zirconia bridge on top and bottom. I've had them for over a year now. I healed just fine. I sure hope I don't have any trouble with them.

How about the PRGF procedure?!?
Where I work we get blood from patients arm, the centrifugal machine separates the blood from plasma and we put the in, the implants coated with his plasma, bone graft with plasma, etc.
The body will recognize it and the healing process is way faster. Usually around 3 months later ( the most) we restore the tooth

Informative video ! I worry about needing dental implants in the future as I age because I'm on a biphosophonate for osteoporosis and osteopenia. I read too many scary things about (ONJ) osteocronosis of the jaw bone due to side effects of biphosophonates. I had a cracked front upper tooth that was saved with a crown, but a nerve in that tooth hasn't healed 2+ months after that procedure. Back to the dentist. 😞

I’m very interested in getting the Nuvia permanent implants. I currently have all 4 of my wisdom teeth, they’ve recently started to cause mild pain in my mouth. Do I need to have them removed before I can have this procedure?

I have numerous missing teeth so I have several partial dentures. I think it would be great if I could get the remaining good teeth removed and get full dentures on top and bottom. Agree or disagree?

i lost all my teeth when i was 23. never got no dentures and implants. i can still eat. just not foods that need teeth. im 36 years now. i lost of wight because of haveing no teeth. i can eat mash poatios. rice. can of beef stew. can of ravlios. pasta. burgers. just can.t eat steak or ribs. and my jaw always hurts sometimes. afther watching this video now i know why. i can.t get dentures. i have big fear of it. i can eat crunchy chips but only for a short time tell my gums get sore.

I LOVE mine! I have 3. One is a canine, ( #11 ) the other two, believe it or not are my 2 front teeth!!! Gad! what would I do? The other 3 missing ones, I have a flipper. They are not very noticeable. The expense is high! An old doctor told my mother that you inherit your teeth. That doesn't mean that you don't take care of them. FYI June Yes, an implant is a foreign object. But titanium is the best metal that the body accepts, eg. hip replacements. ( used on the nose of rocket ships as well ) Not that THAT would have anything to do with it....
I have healthy gums. That would be a factor, I would think.

I've had one dental implant due to resorption. I was in my 60's, and I did need a bone graft due to a large nerve being too close. I've never smoked, so no issue there, and I'm quite pleased with it. It feels indistinguishable from the rest of my teeth. But yeah, it wasn't cheap, so I hope I never need another one.

u still can get bone graft. So it not a dead end situation. Doing jaw exercises is critical in coming years when u want rid of dentures.

I’m missing a lot of teeth and I really want to do implants but I am auto immune compromised, so how is that going to work? Am I supposed to just keep on going without teeth? I’m literally about to be 40 years old. This is not how I imagine my life to be.

It's not worth risking you health. I have regulare dentures and I am very happy with them because my dentist did a good job. The body are not happy with foreign objects in it.
Six months ago I was relabed as pre diabetic. A year ago I was diabetic with a a1c of 8.5. now it's 6.2. would i be able to get implants

No choice. If I don't get them ... bone loss and that is a very ugly thing. My face caving in shrinking jaw is not even a vanity issue as much as it is a spiritual slay.
