ANNIE MF CLARK IS BACK!!! And she's brought another phenomenal album with her. Listen here - open.spotify.com/album/3nRlJX... Twitter - / ihaveausername5
Great review, I have been a St. Vincent fan since Actor and she is one of the few artists that I can always count on to deliver something amazing. I don't think she has ever put out a bad album and as far as where this album would rank in terms of her discography, it is top 3 alongside Strange Mercy and Self Titled in some order.
This album was pure bangers. I just loved it. I like it better than Daddy’s Home. (I think Annie’s stark modernism is what attracted a lot of people to her music and Daddy’s Home did not have it.) BTW I love her music so much I got the musicman guitar so I could learn to play a bit better.
GREAT point, daddy's home was most definitely not modernist in any sense of the word. still incredible how annie clark can make that work while also creating things like all born screaming!
Nice to have new St. Vincent album and good review as always but I feel you're way too easy to please - at least in my head music reviewers should be grumpy and always finding something to complain...😖
haha, i get that completely! part of the reason why i try and make reviews is to break from the nitpicking, the focus on what's negative in a project and focus on what i enjoy, and what keeps me listening! and maybe i am easy to please, but i think it's more fun to focus on the positive than the negative!

COMPLETELY agree with her consistency in terms of quality. she has yet to miss, and i'm sure her next project will be incredible!

i’m still not convinced of “so many planets” being on this record and i guess you share this sentiment because you barely mentioned it lol 🥸
LMAO it’s a fun track imo, not the highlight of the record but it’s still one i enjoy a bit! i def understand the apprehension tho
@@greatalbumslog totally… i guess i was expecting a more industrial sound overall so this caught me off guard. i loveee the first 6 tracks, though.
