    Besides Kenny Burrell's great playing, thumbs up to the drummer able to maintain a samba feel through the whole tune. Very rare to hear a jazz drummer who understands how samba works (double bass drum kick, for instance) and having more than very basic shops on the subject.

      Yes Don, but Green forged the funky soul-jazz vamp style in the late 60s and 70s probably influencing all guitarists..

      @@michaelmorphites6733 Kenny ALREADY had " that groove thing " when he hit the Big Apple in 1956, you must have heard Kenny's Midnight Blue done in the early 60s , BOTH Kenny & Grant are great , but to say Kenny Burrell is Grant Green-esque ... SORRY ... I can't BUY that
