  • I’ve had the APE Racing flex handlebars on three different bikes over the course of the last year +. Here is my list of must do fixes!

To keep those roll pins in place you can also use a pointed punch to stake them or drill and tap a small bolt with a big head that will overlap a

Put green loctite in the pins. Believe it or not, you can use thread locker on more than just threads

Seems like the handguards would basically kill any ability for the bars to flex. I wonder if you took off the guards if you'd feel more dampening.

The wrap around guards with the HCM mount from Acerbis really doesn’t restrict the damper effectiveness of the bars. It’s hard to explain but the mount of the top bar mounts is a tapered bolt and the wrap around bar can still move enough to not restrict the movement. I can hit the ends of my bars and see the movement in the pivot point of the polymer.

Does it helps with the vibration on the handlebar?

Negative. All flex bars, including the Fastway bars do not help with engine vibrations as they are all still solid mounted. If you need to decrease engine vibes, look into a rubber mounted bar option like the Mako 360 or BRP rubber mounted bar options. BUT first check wheel balance and engine hanger torque specs as those will greatly affect vibrations felt in the bars if they are off.

    That's scary

It def could be scary if you had a total failure at speed. The way I have them setup now I feel pretty confident in them. Running then on three different bikes over 100’s of hours, they make a world of difference for my joints and extend my riding days considerably.
