“If you don’t look back at your car you bought the wrong one” I agree with you there. Always break my neck with my car. 04’ G35 coupe
I’ve got a 03 coupe I’m building soon, I’ll definitely show you guys the process. I’m trying to 3.7 swap it 😌

Thank you fam I appreciate you 🤞🏾. Y’all keep me motivated. I’m actually gonna buy one for the giveaway I’m about to do so definitely stay posted, I’ll be posting the details soon! Thanks again bro
Beautiful, sounds awesome, front end is mad clean
I appreciate you bro thank you 🤞🏾. I’m trying to be more consistent this year.
You’re underrated asf, all love bro ❤️I own a G37 sedan my self too.
How’s your car shifting man? Mines been having a little rpm dip that feels like a little downshift but it’s not on 3rd gear, have you had any weird shifting issues when driving on auto? A video over the transmission behavior would be a good video
Thanks brother I appreciate that ❤️. And I’ve actually experienced just about every issue you can have with these transmissions. Currently its running great but that’s only because I just changed my torque converter. In my experience most times it’s either dirty/low transmission fluid that starts to wear the transmission down and cause it to act up. Unfortunately since these cars are so technologically controlled, one issue can cause another unrelated part to seem like it’s malfunctioning. For example, if you have dirty MAF sensors and dirty throttle bodies you may notice some of those issues you’re having. Especially once you’re modded. In most cases you’d check your transmission fluid color and level. Since our transmissions are sealed with no dipstick you’ll have to jack the car up after it’s ran for a few minutes then take the fill plug out. If nothing comes out you need to add fluid. I’ll make an in depth video about it pretty soon, thanks for the idea.
@@ManTimeDre yeah man I recently cleaned my mafs, throttles + relearn, sparks, afe air filters and even got a trans fluid change, about 5qts came out and 5 qts went in. What I have in mind is that maybe one of my cam sensors is on its way out but hasn’t popped the CEL until it’s at a lower voltage level, my car is at 80k miles so I already know the expiration date of those cam sensors is creeping up
@@EvoBlu I made it to 120k on my old motor before I swapped it out for a newer engine. Nothing was wrong with my old one I just wanted to prevent the inevitable. It’s more common for the transmission itself to be on its way out. I’ve seen them go completely at very low mileage so don’t rule that out yet. At the very least the torque converter. Mines progressively did what yours did until the torque converter died. If that happens you’ll know then you’ve got your culprit
just recently got a g37 , thanks for the tips brodie
No problem bro, any other questions feel free to ask!
Interesting that you got good TQ gains off single exhaust.
I got a vq35hr fbo tuned with dual exhaust from Hal at dynosty in Louisville ky. and he was impressed how much TQ I gained with duals. He said usually he sees more hp than TQ gained from a tune but I got more TQ gains than hp.
But sweet build brotha!
Thanks man I appreciate it. I was told that converting over to the single exit increases exhaust velocity for lower and midrange tq. I definitely noticed the difference with mines. What exhaust did you buy?
@ManTimeDre yea exhausts are still pretty controversial so whatever gains I get I'm happy with lol.
I've got stock headers into berk resonated test pipes into borla dual exhaust with a muffler delete.
But you got a hell of car man! She moves, I've seen your other videos.🫡
No doubt, at the end of the day I say do whatever makes you happy especially since it’s your car. I will say I miss the sound of a good dual exhaust. Something about the harmony of the duals gets me and borla definitely was a good choice. And I appreciate your feedback and support bro, thank you!
@@NateM13 How much they charge for fbo tune at dynosty ?
@nickycurtis5761 my tune was I think 600 that's license for the tune and dyno time.
I ain’t even got a VQ, I got a VR but you mad entertaining Brodie, keep up the good work 😂💯
I appreciate that bro, seriously 🤞🏾. Especially since you’re in a whole different platform. Depending on how things go with the channel I might add a vr to the lineup one day. How do you like yours ?

Thank you bro, much love 🤞🏾❤️
2:41 I agree to stay away from the short ram intakes. I had them on for a bit, and it killed performance during summer. Noticeably slower, so I switched back to the stock ones 😂. Stock ones aren’t bad, but I do kinda want the stillen one 😏
subtitles saying “no” when u gave us the sound clip had me weak asf lmao fire ass vid tho🔥🔥
Lls thanks bro , I tried messing with the subtitles a bit but they kept glitching out😭

This vid was perfect
Cold air isn’t the only factor that plays horsepower on intakes it’s also about the restriction of the stock air box most intakes do a great job of removing stock intake restriction adding more air to the engine and therefore making your engine shoot more fuel to compensate wich is you air fuel ratio wich are a big factor
I’m rolling up now in the g35 😂. Nice car broski
Lls good looks bro, gotta stay medicated 🍀
yo i fw wit the videos and energy bro u should make pov vids
I’ve got some on the way I appreciate it g ✊🏾
Personally I feel like the stock air box intake is a very good design , it has a 3” pipe that goes right to the front grill . Definitely better than just a short ram intake I see ppl putting on. Replace the stock tubes from filter box to throttle body for a big difference
w video bro, appreciate that
Of course bro, I appreciate you. More content on the way!
“ gotta stop and get a lil snacky “ 😂💯
This was a super good video bro. Honestly very professional and well made. And for the ethanol sensor is that hooked up to ecutek so it changes your map based off the percentage? Or do you just have an e85 map and a 93? I just went e85 yesterday and am a little concerned about getting a lower ethanol content than what my e85 map was tuned for…
Regardless of what your map is tuned to you should be good if your tuner said what your ethanol content is just stay around that range
Thanks bro, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate the feedback. And I’m not too sure how they’d calibrate that into the ecu to tell it to switch maps on its own. For cars that didn’t have the logic programmed into the ecu to adjust timing on its own it wouldn’t work without tuning. Fortunately for us on the vq platform we can switch maps on the go without needing a laptop ( in most cases ). For our cars you’d just have a separate map for your 93 & e85 tune. Depending on the ethanol content you were tuned on your ecu will make its own adjustments but only to a certain degree. Like if you were tuned on e70 and go to e80 you’d need more fuel in the tune up top but you’re still safe to drive.
@@ManTimeDre alright. That’s good to know. I’m debating whether I should get a flex fuel sensor and have my tuner set it up so it can adjust the maps. Or just get an ethanol sensor for less than half that price…
@@investinjahcoin5029 they’re the same thing. They just call it different names depending on where you go.
@@investinjahcoin5029 the difference should be one is a kit the other is just a sensor
I'm sitting here watching this video with a red hoodie on and the same red 3's hahaha 😂 great video bro thanks for the advice
A man of good taste I see ✊🏾
I’ve also come to either do a catch can or imo a pcv valve delete. Very good with crank case pressure for better flow. Something little but will help efficiency.
I did that myself! It also keeps the intake manifold and throttle bodies cleaner
I’ve got a 2003 G35 sedan, love the car, still a work in progress. But as I recently started looking at available mods, it’s sad that the majority of the mods (especially the cosmetic ones) are geared toward the coupe. I wish I had more options with the body kits, interior mods, etc
Don't forget to port your intake manifold and plenum. Then if you ever rebuild the motor drop in a VHR 3.7 crankshaft and rods. That right there is easily 30HP to the wheels for pretty much just the cost of the crank and rods if you can do the work yourself.
I already have a 3.7 bro this is a g37 lol
Lmfao I think he just answered your question to “if you can do the work yourself”.
Pardon the blunt 😂👏
" if you don't look back at your car you bought the wrong one " man truer words have not been more spoken haha. i bought a 2012 G37X with 95K on the dash and man is it comfortable, reliable, and fun! idk if i want to modify it it yet i already have a supercharged pontiac i am workin on atm so who knows! but i would love to get at least intake exhaust and a tune for the G.
They’re definitely great cars, especially if you take care of them. And how much power is your Pontiac making? I don’t think the g will come close without a supercharger of its own but you can have a lot of fun with them slightly modded. If you wanna start simple, get test pipes, intakes and at least a 2.5 dual exhaust
@@ManTimeDre oh the GTP stock is 240, i have it decently modded, like full exhaust front an rear short headers, 3.4 pulley, 180 Tstat, lowered with aftermarket wheels an tires. i've beaten like focus st's older mustang gt's some 328is nothing special but my G definetly feels faster, plus the GTP isn't even intercooled so it heat soaks like crazy, hopefully this summer i will get it all set up haha.
@@Siviqs man at the end of the day all that matters is that you have fun with your build, regardless whatever you own. You’re definitely on the right path if you ask me lol, and once you start nodding your g it’ll be like falling in love for the first time lol. Be safe out there!
I like how he rev and the subtitles say "no"😂😂😂😂 5:01
Pardon the blunt 😂
fire setup!! I like those headlights where did you get them? and do they offer them in a black housing?
Thanks bro, I got them on Amazon believe it or not. They offer a black housing but I opted for chrome.

nice car bro really need some of your input the headers im looking at are 1800 dont know if i should go that route which i reallu want to or go the cheap route with the ISR headers which are 700 again nice G man.

Do the headers you linked fit a g37?
did you have to get a specific Y pipe since you get a AWD/X. I got a 37 and was told exhaust Y pipe was different
He said isr y pipe, bro did NOT watch the video 😂
Hey man not sure if youd know anything about this but i did a front bumper swap along with a headlight swap on my 2009 g37 and there is a slight hood gap between the bumper and hood which wasnt there before. The headlights also seem to fit a bit weird even though they are compatible and i tried readjusting them a few times. if u had any tips i would appreciate it, thank you man good video
I’d recommend checking the tabs on the front radiator support cover and the corner tabs on the inner part of the bumper under the hood. How much of a gap is it?
@@ManTimeDre ya i ended up just making a few holes higher up on the cover so the bumper would come up higher and further back which definitely helped, theres still a bit of a gap on the right side of it for some reason but its not too bad
does the intake fit on a g35 sport ?
I saw a video I think it was saul nismo knights content was a single exit vs dual & the single exit had 3 more hp
I can tell you from personal experience it’s more than that
Sick ass build bro, I want to get them intakes, but how do they do in rain? Don’t they get wet?
This is what I was wondering too but I feel like they should have a cover to protect them or something. I have a 2008 g35 and I’m planning to install some stillen intakes some time in the future.
Nah bro I’ve never had issues with rain or water in general AND I’m not using the plastic under tray that comes on the car since mine broke and I’ve been fine. The K&N filters that I got come with water repellent spray that you soak them with. You’ll be good bro
You’ll be good bro, I’ve had mines for 2 years no problems
And keep in mind it rains pretty frequently where I live
If it’s exposed you can get the water repellent cover for the intakes so no water or Debris will get into the intakes
What kind of custom muffler did you go with and do you have a resonator?
Vibrant on both but I’m switching to the hks hi power muffler soon
what about transmission issues?
What model sedan you recommend? AWD? Sorry if I missed it in the video.
RWD
Well that depends on your end goal. Do you want a car that’s better from a dig or one that’s better from a roll? Awd is great for digs but we kinda fall behind when we race a rwd version. Say you buy an awd sedan and do all the mods you can. It’ll be fast from a dig. Rwd cars without a good tire are gonna spin and you’ll be outta there. Now say this same rwd sedan races you on the highway… he’s gonna win up top since his car is lighter.
hey bro will that y pipe fit my awd g35hr, it says on the link that it doesn’t fit awd models
Yeah it fits, they’re all universal to be honest. I’ve had 2 y pipes and both came off a rwd g and it went in just fine
This is 400 to the crank not the wheels correct? I got a m35 right now and might get a g37 here soon. Tryna figure out what I can do with it
