I just started using a light roast and my shot pulls very fast in 19 seconds but the yield is good I am using a 1:2 ratio so I put 21 grams in and get 42 grams out in 19 seconds but the built-in timer does not count preinfusion...If I include preinfusion then my shot pulls in 24 seconds still not sure if this is a good shot! Maybe because this is a light roast I am having a hard time. When I taste my shot it is not bitter or sour and it has some very different mouth feel compared to dark roast.

If you're using a stock Breville grinder with a light roast, you might not be getting the best grind to suit those beans. Personally if you're getting those results, try and use manual mode when pulling a shot instead and try control it to suit your needs.

Quite a standard shot size for home baristas and consuner/prosumer machines 👍
